The context tells Nicodemus don't know what is being born again, Jesus is saying verily, verily, of truth he needs to know how. Further, Jesus said to him are you the teacher and don' t about this things. Perhaps. The implication is that one needs to be born again. Are you saying you need to? Only God knows our heart, but we can know for sure, but as observed, you might been disturbed by the teaching of man. I ask, how did you come to know Christ and his gospel? Had someone told you holding a Calvinistic belief? Read from their articles or what? Thanks

I know exactly what Jesus is saying about being born again..

I have already posted about my saving Fred...please don’t put words into my mouth.....”Like........are you saying I need too”.

I can assure you I have not been disturbed by the teaching of man...again i don’t need to explain how I was saved to you.

You don’t believe in Calvin.

I believe a bit of Calvin....but not all....I am also not a Calvinist....why some think that,I have no idea....maybe because I believe some of what he teaches...

Sorry if it upsets....but can’t change it to make some of you guys happy.

Especially the fruit of the Spirit.....Calvin is spot on there.

There is only one way to be saved.
We all enter through the narrow gate.

That reminds me of a post....

And these are your words

Sorry ,disagree with everything you say here.....and correct....I never had a say in the matter,of God saving me.....can’t change how I was saved..to suit your insecurities.

As I have said many times...I have never doubted my faith and never will.

Correct,I never had a say in the matter....one thing for sure.....I think a few of you aren’t understanding.

Because....???....on that note I will leave you all to it..as I don’t have to explain my salvation to anyone.

Thank God I am saved and know it.
You can never take away what The Father gives to His Son......but many have tried...and will never succeed.
I think the issue that some here, may have with your testimony, is that its not what 1 Cor 15:1-4 states as the gospel that saves now.

But my guess is that it might be contained in your story too? Did you believe that Christ died for your sins and rose again on the 3rd day?

If that happened during the time where you are claiming that "God testified to your spirit that you are his", then yes you are saved.

If that belief is missing, well, its easy to correct that now.

Thanks ... hoping by exposing the ugly truth of Calvinism, maybe shake someone loose from its tentacles..... although we know it is a

looooooooooong shot for sure!!

You will never shake me from what I believe and have recieved from God,not in a million yrs.

You should know that, what ever the Father gives to the Son can never be taken from him.
As I have said o; another post, you need to deal with your own insecurities.
My Faith is solid, which for some reason you can’t seem to grasp.

Thank you for your reply ,Guojing...my saving was personal between God and I......you are asking me a question,in your own understanding of how I should be saved and what I should have believed......sorry my friend....I don’t need to answer that.....and certainly don’t need to hear from you that ..”I am saved”....lol.

Its actually not my understanding.

It is what Paul states what one needs to believe in order to be saved "now" at this age.

Are you aware of what 1 Cor 15:1-4 says with regard to salvation? Verse 2 is directly applicable to you now.

Again, you aren’t listening....I have already posted how I was saved...if you don’t understand it,which is scriptural by the way...I can’t help that......just be concerned with your own saving and not mine.

My saving is between God and myself....and an awesome saving it was....Praise God.

You need to read more scripture on how one is saved..not how you were saved by scripture.

I wasn’t saved by reading a bible.

Alright then.

I am curious though, other than 1 Cor 15:1-4, where other "different" ways other scripture gives, that you think can save you now?

I have posted this scripture many times my friend.

The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children........I had never read a bible....it was completely unexpected...my saving......a lot took place between God and myself, which I’m not prepared to share,.......before I was saved.....sorry if you don’t understand, but there it is.....I can’t deny it.

I don’t know how God saves others...I only understand how he saved me.

15 Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. 6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8 and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.

What do you want to say with these verse?

You focus on verse 2

2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

What is this verse mean to you?

What do you want to say about this verses.?

Your 2nd paragraph is not from scripture, you do realize that right?

If you are using Romans 8 there, that is after one is saved, not how God saves you.

As it says, it is how one gets saved, the clearest explanation of the gospel that saves NOW.

If you don’t understand....that is fine...I understand my saving by God,I have that deep security in the Lord.i am born again....have been for 28 yrs......I have been watching him work in my life and it has been an Honour and privilege to watch his will for my life unfold, absolutely amazing.

All Praise And Glory To God..my Father In Heaven.

Alright then, to make it straightforward for everyone here, here is the fundamental question.

You do believe that Christ died for your sins and rose again on the 3rd day correct?

I believe what the Holy Spirit Has shown me in scripture,of course Jesus paid the price for our sin...no doubt what so ever.....how else could we be saved.

God saves all sinners the same way. You are no exception.

Unless a sinner (1) hears the preaching of the Gospel, or reads the Gospel in the Bible, (2) believes on the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work of redemption (how Christ died for YOUR sins, and rose again for YOUR justification as stated in 1 Corinthians 15:1-3), and (3) repents (turns from sins and idols and turns to the living God), he or she cannot be saved.

There are many examples in Scripture to show how people are saved by grace through faith. And faith is generated by the Gospel itself -- the power of God unto salvation (Rom 1:16).

God,chose,drew and saved me....all of God..not I......all scriptural.....sorry you don’t understand.

The resurrection is actually the most critical (1 Cor 15:14) :)

God sending his only Son to earth, was critical..for us all to be saved...He sacrificed His own Son..gave him to us.....no greater Love than that....

Could you sacrifice your only son?

Do you see the difference between using scripture (1 Cor 15:14), vs what you are appealing to, which leans more towards emotions?

In an internet forum, where you are discussing doctrine with strangers around the world, its best to rely more on scripture to make your point.
