You forgot about Romans 11?

13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

And you happen to be correct, 1 John is not written to the Body of Christ. John agreed, together with Peter and James in Galatians 2, to restrict their ministry to the circumcision.

Galatians 2:9
9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

You will not find the salvation doctrine relevant for the Body of Christ in 1 John. In fact, if you are willing to read 1 John literally, John often says that, if one do not love, nor obey God's commandments, one isn't saved.

I can understand why you would like that kind of teaching though.
You believe in two different salvation plans, one for the gentiles one for the jews? While in Christ both are one? You sir are what we call a heretic.

There is only one salvation plan now.
How on earth is anyone supposed to keep up with any of these made up salvation plans?

There has always been one way of salvation, by grace through faith. The reason you believe in many is because you believe in a dead faith that doesn't necessarily produce nothing.
IF you believed as the Bible teaches that faith is never alone, there would be no issue. Obedience is required from Genesis to Revelation.

A simple way for me to keep up: The Body of Christ takes their salvation doctrine from Romans to Philemon.

That might work for you too?

By grace through faith in what? The d,b,r for sins was a mystery until after the resurrection. What have you placed your faith in for salvation? 1 Corinthians 15:3-4? I hope so.

The book of James is yet to be fulfilled...the opposite of Preterism. It is placed chronologically after Paul’s epistles as the Lord turns His attention back to the nation of Israel.
well pardon me then, but why the haha face? nothing funny going on

I have heard preterists state what you did meaning Jesus already came back and that is what I understood from your post

you know, if only people like you that have a prejudicial interpretation of scripture wouldn't try to make themselves sound superior with all the little haha faces and the like. for example asking the op which tribe he belonged to

you think anyone wants to listen to someone who starts off making fun?

present your case, but the sarcastic comments from you seem to be the norm and you are actually wrong in your renderings of who James was writing to

where is your proof of what you say?

How about this verse, for us or for Jews only

Luke 0

25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”

27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”

Read full chapter
Who has done this? I think this is what Jesus wanted to show. According to the law they were correct

But as we know no one has done this. So even this is written to us all

I agree, so James is also for us

1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,

To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations:

Greetings.
James was written to his people. But his words apply to us all

I agree

There was a person say this verse is only for Israel
James 2
14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?

I know this verse look like against the teaching salvation not by work, but how people say to have faith but don't have love( murder, robing etc)
This verse is confronting people who claim they have faith but are hearers only not doers

They have no works period

The Jews are God’s earthly, physical people and their kingdom is an earthly kingdom. The body of Christ is God’s heavenly spiritual people.
proof for that also please

it is actually just an interpretation that is not correct and points to misunderstood scripture

you told someone else to rightly divide the word but you have nothing to back up what you say

that is typical of people who have swallowed a wrong teaching and want to correct others when they are not even quite sure why they were taught what they post

oh right. heard that before also

some people seem to think if you mention works, you are trying to work for your salvation, but what James is looking for here, is the reality of faith changing lives

actually, we are created for good works so what people who are allergic to the word 'works' do with that scripture is twist it or ignore it I guess because they do not understand what is being said

4But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved! 6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His grace, demonstrated by His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

8For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life. Ephesians 2

we see plainly in the portion from Ephesians above, that works do not save but then we also see that the kind of works that please God are the ones He actually has prepared for us to do

I don't think I have ever seen a thread about what those 'works' are in the forum, but we sure have plenty of threads about how nothing but faith saves, but it seems James is actually seeing if your faith is genuine, you will fulfill what it is you have been created to do

here is a decent interpretation, IMO, of what the 'good works' actually are:

The Greek original reads more literally, "which God prepared in advance, so that we might walk in them." The language of walking was used by teachers in the time of Paul in the way we might talk of living or engaging in a certain lifestyle. In other words, the good works of verse 10 are not obviously religious activities scattered throughout an otherwise secular life. Rather, the good works encompass the whole of the Christian, all that we do by God's grace for God's purposes. from this site down the page a little
Amen

People look at works as religious things or not sinning

But works spoken of here are those that are done out of love and not out of selfish ambition

ridiculous

have you something intelligent to say or do you just prefer childish sarcastic comments?

I hope no one engages you because the conversation was pretty decent prior to you dropping in cause you are bored or something

I am only trying to suggest that your post is ignored as it should be but sadly and too often a good thread get totally derailed because of the type of post you created
Better to just let it go Sis

This reasoning is fleshly, to start with, not from the Lord. Then you say that the works of the law should not be, and that would mean that anything we do physically to obey the law of the Lord is wrong. Telling the truth, then, becomes wrong for instance.
you always manage to illustrate why you believe the errors that you do

what is fleshly, is your mash up of the old and new testaments

you did not understand what Nehemiah wrote and so you call it fleshly.

frankly sister, you are the one spouting a fleshly gospel

You are right Jackson, and this type of teaching is the reason the Church is in the mess that its in today. We cant even tell the world and the church apart, its one and the same. They watch the same filth, listen to the same music, go to the same concerts, go to the same pubs, the only difference is that one of them says I believe in Jesus and no one is perfect.
It’s funny. Was not Jesus accused of these very things?

What about his command in Luke to start that preaching from Jerusalem? Was that applicable to you as well?
Why ask silly questions but ignore the actual issue? "To the uttermost parts of the world" applies to the Church today.

Do you cast out devils, heal the sick and raise people from the dead?

Have you sold all that you have to follow Him?
just the typical rhetoric with again, nothing to back it up

no scripture, just more sarcastic blah blah blah

I have seen sick people healed and demons cast out. perhaps you have no faith?

But "start from Jerusalem" doesn't? (Luke 24:47)

Who decides which of Jesus's commands regarding the Great Commission apply and which don't?

Dead faith has not saved anyone ever, today yesterday or tomorrow.

Everyone in the future will have to have faith, which will be manifest through their works.

No change in your life equals to no salvation has taken place. I know not one Christian who has remained exactly as he/she was prior to conversion.
I would word it different

No faith = no salvation = no new birth and new life and new power = being a heater and not a doer = no works
