Plucking verses from all over scripture does not prove anything.

Scripture reveals all over the place, we receive eternal life by believing in Jesus for it. You deny the simple Gospel... tragic.

Not one adherent of Calvinism has yet to make a case for "irresistible grace" which underpins your faulty view of election.
If you are referring to me, please scrutinize each and every one of my submissions. I can guarantee you that you will not find the term "irresistible grace" anywhere.

Where does it teach that...give me a quote please?
Men are truth suppressors who do not seek God, however when the Father draws them to the Son, the Spirit enables them to repent and believe the gospel.
Your statement as posted is a falsehood.
False you say... I can find many modern day Calvinists, Puritans, Reformed that state it very clearly..

If men are dead in sin, helpless, and cannot believe in Christ; then the salvation of sinners of necessity involves much more than Christ dying for all men and then waiting to see who will accept His gift. If unsaved men are unable to choose or to will any spiritual good, then apart from a spiritual rebirth, no man would choose Christ.

Then there are no chosen/selected....the two go hand in hand.

Many have not heard an accurate presentation of the truth. When they do, they are stunned at how they see it in all 66 books. God gives you what you need as you need it to present truth to the lost around us.
This little group of scoffers demonstrates the ignorance of those who turn from the truth.

I just pulled this scripture from the link....

Ezekiel 36:27
I will put My Spirit within you and [[[I will]]] cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.

Why is it that certain people on this thread are so angry with God actually bequeathing somebody with a priceless gift of the Holy Spirit, to do them good and to suit His purposes? I mean why are these people screaming bloody murder that it is so unfair that God should do such a thing?

Came across this earlier, and it caught my interest. Thought I'd share.

From Eternity Past To The End Of Time

Read Romans 8:29-30.

This passage has been described by some scholars as "the golden chain." Every link in this chain is significant and related to the other. There's foreknowledge, then predestination, calling, justification, and glorification. And as with any chain, each link is vitally important.

Foreknowledge means that God knew you by name before time began. Predestination means that before He created the universe, God willed that you would be eternally saved. Then, at just the right time, He called you out of spiritual darkness into His glorious light. Sure, we each make a decision to follow Jesus. But we would never have come forward unless He was first calling to us.
Justification means that Jesus satisfied the justice of the Father—winning us salvation by His death. And glorification means that just as Jesus was glorified when He rose from the dead, all believers will be glorified on the last day when heaven invades earth.
This is God's purpose and plan; it is His desire for the believer to be eternally saved—not saved one day and lost the next. Jesus loves His own, and He loves them to the end (see John 13:1). So be assured today: God will never forsake you. This should put us on our face before Him in gratitude, adoration, and thanksgiving!
Prayer: God, I thank You for calling me out of darkness into Your glory. Your love and mercy are wondrous; You are worthy of my all. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
"For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified" (Romans 8:29-30).

I am just waiting for someone to post Scripture that says the contrary in a well-rounded comprehensive manner. And the sword you are using cuts both ways. Why is everyone throwing the term election in the trash can without a second thought? I mean it is everywhere it is doctrine!
I've replied hundreds of times : Election is to service, calling and purpose, not to salvation. (Isa. 42:1; Acts 9:15; Rom. 11:28)

24For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
25Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
26A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. ( does this sound like the church age ? )
28And ye shall DWELL IN THE LAND that I gave to YOUR FATHERS and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
29I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.
30And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.
31Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.
32Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O HOUSE OF ISRAEL . THIS Is future for Israel. Does it even sound remotely that could refer to now ?

Whoa hold your horses. When the ELECT hear the gospel they believe. If Jesus does not know you and you are not of his sheep and the Father does not draw are you, you will NOT believe.

John 6:65
And He was saying, "Because of this, I have said to you that no one is able to come to Me, unless it shall have been granted to him from the Father."

John 10
But you do not believe, because you are not from among My sheep.

John 10:14 [Here are the sheep that Jesus "knows" (A predetermined relationship from eternity past)]
I am the good shepherd, and I know My own, and I am known by My own.

Matt 7:23 [Here are the sheep that Jesus does not "know"]
And then I will declare unto them, 'I never knew you; depart you from Me, those working lawlessness.'

You accuse me of not dealing with all the Scriptures. There are some Scriptures...so deal with them.
Praise God that after John 6 other things happened . Erm let me see . I can't quite remember...oh that's it ..wait something to do with a cross , that's it its literally in the same book ,six chapters later . You would think John 6 is the Gospel for calvinists .
But then we read ...32And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

How the KJV bible really works...when a word or phrase is used for the first time in Scripture it’s usage will be clearly defined. This definition will hold true throughout scripture. This is called the first mention principle. Your Greek pastor probably doesn’t know this. I don’t need the Greek. I have the preserved words of God in the KJV.

Of course I know this is yet future in the middle of the great tribulation. Everybody knows this. Interestingly, Jesus returns only AFTER the remnant of Israel asks him to. Then and only then does He provide them with the gift of the Spirit and obedience. Supposedly there is no breach of human soverignty there!

So we shouldn't be talking about having OUR hearts of stone being replaced by a heart of flesh CAUSING us to walk in Statues and ordinances, because that's about ISRAEL.

Up until here very recently, my understanding of chosen, election, coming to The Lord, etc., was not along those lines of thinking/belief. Do have to admit am seeing things in a different light, and trusting in Him to show me The Truth. As said several times, am still learning, and at 54, it's hard to teach an old dog.
Amen...Praise God , His word is true...
I too was in the same boat , not understanding the meaning of God calling us , and how He chose us before the foundation of the world...Now I have that understanding through the leading of the Holy Spirit , the Scriptures have really come alive , and I have never been more humble than I am now...

I am 59 , and still learning new things , so many wonderful gems buried in the Scriptures to dig out , it is a true joy...
I am saved by all of God`s doing , I am who I am by Gods grace , chosen and called for His purpose...
All the glory to God most High \:)/...

Does the verse your partially quoting say' chose us before the foundation of the world.' ( with respect ) ?
Also There are 2 callings: Gospel and vocational, not inward or outward or effectual or ineffectual, etc… (2 Thess. 2:14; Eph. 4:1; Rom. 8:28; 2 Cor. 5:20)

Why is necessary to make such a false accusation, no one has denied the gift of the Holy Spirit,

However, God does not elect/chose some to salvation while denying His grace to others... this is not biblical.

Calvinism actually denies the justice of God and then seeks to deny it by stating His ways are not our ways... which in essence is a total cop out.

God is not glorified by false dogma.

And what God chose was for those who accept the the free gift of salvation to be IN Christ... He is not making a statement of about making a "choice cut" out of humanity.
