The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, of judgment, and of righteousness. The fist step, is convicting of sin.

Take Paul for example...He was convicted of sin on the road to Damascus. Paul thought he was doing God a service and working for him by persecuting the Christians.

However, what did Jesus say to him? Saul, Saul, why persecutest me? In this, Paul was convicted of his sin. The truth and his sin was laid bare before him.

This is conviction of sin, and the Holy Spirit does this for the whole world...

So can you see how, this God working in everyone to show everyone the truth. He convicts the world of sin, of judgement, and of righteousness. He let's us know that we need a Savior. Now, that does not mean that he is going to make everyone accept it, but the Holy Spirit convicts the whole world. No one will have an excuse.

Nope..I am still waiting for those specific words in the bible...I know all about being convicted..

Show me scripture where is says those words...then I will discuss further,not what you believe it to mean...thank you.

Scripture please.

You have now changed your words to being convicted.
He did she showed it

concerning sin indeed, because they do not believe in Me;
the world is convicted because of unbelief. Those are people who are lost

Unbelief after being saved?.....that is my question.that would be a sin wouldn’t it?
I'm not sure what you are asking here.

The saved are not convicted of sin. We are justified by his blood.

He convicts us of righteousness. He reminds us of Jesus' teachings, and teaches and guides us in righteousness.

John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

7Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8And when he is come, he will reprove the WORLD of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9Of sin, BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE NOT ON ME
10Of righteousness, BECAUSE I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11Of judgment, BECAUSE the prince of this world is judged.
12¶I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

Romans 1 does not have reference to the natural man, but to the regenerate man, and, yes, the regenerate man can appear to be unregenerate in their actions, sometimes. It is the regenerate man that holds the truth in unrighteousness, and has no excuse. The unregenerate man, does not hold the truth in any form.
This is regenerated men ? So much for perseverance of the saints ?
18¶For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24¶Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26¶For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28¶And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them

That wasn't necessarily aimed at you . Just most quote the other parts to the verse without checking what it says . I did the same . Feel free to disagree and push back on something I say you think is wrong. I appreciate the correction.

these are unbelievers sis. There is no twisting just stated as what it says

Did the Jews also had to keep the law in the old covenant?
The law was the school master to reveal to the Jews that they could not attain righteousness sufficient to stand in the presence of God. The law made sin personal and indicated the need for a Messiah that could atone for all sin.

While I agree there is much changing of one's mind after salvation and regeneration, it can also precede regeneration since faith

comes by hearing and hearing the Gospel is instrumental in the changing of one's mind.

The changing of one's mind is away from one's dead works towards Christ.

The meaning of the word "metanioa" ... "after thought .. to change one's mind" carries no semantical meaning of contrition or feeling sorry although that can be the product of a changed mind.

Repentance was derived from a Latin word. In the Old Latin and Latin Vulgate metanoia was translated as paenitentia

Both Justine and Augustine looked for some sorrow/ contrition for sin and part of the conversion process.
It was the Reformation that sought to return the word back to the correct meaning.
Scripture states that it is a new mind not a recycled mind. Walking in newness of life in Christ. The old mind is dead and the new mind is ours through Christ. 2 Cor 5:17

I don't agree,the old mind is not dead,it is being renewed...to be renewed in the spirit of your mind.

What part of 2Cor 5:17 are you going to disagree with?

There is a difference between sanctification and salvation.
