Does not matter he was still first before Paul.
Acts 11
15And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
16THEN !!!! REMEBERED !!!! I !!! the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
17Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
18¶When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

As Calvinism is pervasive in many traditions and denomination s ect . Not knowing about it , puts you at a severe disadvantage. Unless you live in a cave and never go out .
Your obsession with Calvin is unhealthy. How you clump everyone that doesn’t agree with you on this matter as Calvinistic is unreal. And by the way, crawled out from under my rock years ago...but thank you anyway.

See what you did there . I don't see anything negative about what I'm saying . I believe the Gospel is good news . literally .
Dispensationalism's false teachings of a Pre-Trib rapture nor their teaching of dual Covenant theology is the gospel

That’s not the issue
the issue is your hate has you false accusing and misinterpreting what others believe
Jesus did not go around misrepresenting other people like you are
They accused Jesus of misrepresentation though .

So you hate the truth? (Pre trib is questionable I will Grant you that)
Dual Covenant theology is also a false doctrine and teaching of man.

There is (One) covenant between God and man, the shed blood upon the cross of Calvary.

The future remnant Jew will be brought into this covenant as all believers, there is no difference between a Jew or Gentile, God is no respector of person.

Once again, dispensationalisms (Dual Covenant Theology) is a false doctrine and teaching.

Dispensationalism falsely teaches the two covenants below.

Covenant: Israel/Jew

Covenant: Church/Saved

Isn't that your doctrine? He selects unbelievers and causes them to become believers?
I meant those who PERSIST in unbelief...

Remember...Jesus mentions three groups in His Priestly prayer.

1. The world. Those who will never believe and will never be saved. He DID NOT PRAY FOR THEM.

2. Those who had already believed

3. Those who would believe in the future.

So where does the Bible say God predestinated GROUP ONE?

It doesnt because He didnt.

But God already knew in an electing sense groups 2-3, Ephesians 1:4-5, and the text of our OP

Well until the forth century ( Augustine) we didn't really have this problem.
How many of the early church Fathers before Augustine have you read?

Also, this was not the issue that concerned the church of the first three centuries. They were wrestling with issues regarding the nature of God and the person of Christ in response to Christological heresies

These issues arose because of the Pelagian heresy. Then Augustine I think went somewhat to the opposite extreme.

But I will take Augustine over Pelagius every day of the week and twice on Sundays if I had to choose.

Enough . This is an area I'm very familiar with . I believe every Christian would fair well to at least look into the history of Augustine / Calvin / beza / Arminius/ pink / edwards / wesley / Whitfield ect also . They would see what I'm seeing when people use the scriptures the way they do .

I see a lot of Christians preaching bad news .
You can add dispensationalism's false teaching Jesus Christ is returning to earth to take a throne in Jerusalem, to hang out with mortal humans, in a 1,000 year millennium?

This Will Be The Antichrist!

Matthew 24:23-27KJV
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

That's my point . Most do choose Calvinism over this false dichotomy.

I did not say I choose Calvinism. I said I would choose augustine over Pelagius. I am not on board fully with either one, but Pelagius is the more dangerous view.
