What about the mail-in votes? How long will they take to all be accounted for... and
how do they get accounted for? Wasn't there some brouhaha about mail-in votes?
I keep hearing up to three days but it varies from state to state. I knew this was going to be a close race and I suspected things would get a little crazy.

*sigh* remember the good old days back in grade school when things were voted on?
Everyone would get a sheet of paper and write in their vote, then to get results it went something like:
RED PILE BLUE PILE
all the votes for red went in the red pile, all the votes for blue went in blue pile
then each pile was counted and the one with the most was the winner?
Oh that was so simple.... non of this percentage stuff, one vote actually equaled one vote.

Today is the official election day however there will be an avalanche of mail in ballots due to c-19. We'll just have to wait and see. If 'the Donald looses he will try to launch a voter fraud investigation, make accusations and come up with conspiracy theories. It's far from over. He won't bow out or leave gracefully. That's not his style.
Starting a civil war would not surprise me.

Yes, it is hard to miss the white hair :LOL:
Michael Stipe is noticeably absent from this video, but it is still unmistakably R.E.M. :D
The bassist/lead singer reminds me of Greg Keelor from Blue Rodeo :)

Yes, but you were all in one room. The states cannot do it that way because then New York or California would end up controlling the whole country.

Trump has been preparing people for a fraud case because of mail in votes. Personally I have been mail in voting for years now here in Florida it is a much better way to vote for older people as you don't have to go stand in line in the heat to vote. It is safe and secure there is no fraud involved.

The Donald himself has voted by mail before and he knows it is o.k. to do so but has started a conspiracy theory that it is fraudulent now. It's the way of the Donald to cause chaos and divide.

I wish our votes really counted like you are saying.... Each person has a real say and not an Electoral person (some) who can go their own way and vote for what they want. Not all are able to do that as there are some states with laws but there are those few who can buck the system and vote the way they want to against the will of the people and that's not right...

Post Office was behind in delivering ballots so they made them gather them up and our election people went and picked them up at the PO so they would be counted today which was 11/3/2020.

I noticed that Trump received a lot of votes from people in Florida who have left Cuba and Venezuela to come to America because they know firsthand just how horrific it is living in a socialistic society! They want freedom, not socialism. It’s too bad that more Americans can’t figure that out. We should never take our freedoms in America for granted! You get enough of the wrong people in power and that can change overnight!

Sometimes I look out my window at my beautifully peaceful and spectacularly gorgeous view and it is hard to imagine there is so much madness and evil in the world. Still, I know it exists, just as much as I know there is little I can do about it. Some people get so bent out of shape being overly focused on worldly matters... and it seems that these days everything has become politicized, polarized, and turned into a conspiracy theory. I do acknowledge being fortunate to live in Canada, not just because of the political foment happening south of the border, as well as the wide-spread corruption in so many other places as well, but for so many blessings right down to clean air and water (for the most part ;)), indoor plumbing, fresh affordable food... the basics. And also health care that is paid for through my taxes. My recent hospital stay of ten plus days in the states would have put me 15-30K in debt depending on location :cry:
