I am more and more convinced that Trump is going to kick some Communist butt come the 20th January. If the shackles of Communism fall in the US, they will likewise fall across the world. It might appear good, but don't be deceived, as some have warned this may be a time for the mark of the Beast also. Debt cancellation, gaoling of the corrupt judges, exposure of the treasonous politicians and devil-worshipping media etc. - the end of some of those evils you talked about (such as overpriced land). Up until yesterday, I just assumed (not giving it much thought) that women started to work more because the cost of living was getting higher and higher and it is difficult for a single income home. But then iamsoandso made a point about how as a result of the feminist movement and other factors which pushed women to want to be independent and get in the workforce as opposed to just staying at home which ultimately increased the pool of workers, thereby decreasing the demand for workers.

I think it's possible it's both the cost of living increase in addition to the increase in the pool of workers which has made it difficult for single income homes.

I'm curious your thoughts on this.

I concur however since our lives in flesh are temporary and we are no longer of this world but merely messengers of the Cross. I think we should concentrate on spreading the Gospel of salvation. The book of revelations is finished and nothing can be added, taken away or changed. The state of the entire world is in a death spiral. Thus we should be of good cheer. Soon we'll be singing Hosanna's for a thousand years. Let's concentrate on inviting others to our celebration to come. We already know what's going to happen. I really meant what I said in post #175 about this being Gods choosing and I am not going to be any part of any type violence anyway. I have always respected the authorities and see them as my fellow citizens who we hired to watch out for our well being and if any of them are watching "thank you for watching out for us".

That said I would caution any of you who are tempted to be led into thinking you are in safe hands by those bragging about "thousands of rounds of..." because it only proves that they are amateurs who are talking a big line of smoke in the first place and so the real military and authorities probably roll on the floor laughing when they see post like that. Why is that they know for a fact that 20 rounds weigh 14 ounces and 5 clips is 100 rounds(so your talking 10 guys per 1000 carrying about 5 pounds in their pockets).

I know this because I hunted for many years and ammo is "you guessed it lead" and it weighs more than you think. Other than that I have and will always follow the law like is in Romans 13(because Jesus said to) and if they check me out I have never been in trouble not even a speeding ticket. So in short there's the guys bragging about the thousands of rounds and there's the real military/feds ect. who travel with "millions of rounds" because they actually know whats real. Past that all I can do is caution people over the ones bragging and point out whats real.

Good thing you aren’t a leader then...I don’t think that’s a good way to handle things honestly. You can’t force anyone to do anything...God doesn’t and neither should we. We try to talk to people about the truth and pray God will open their eyes..that’s how it works.

As an interested onlooker into American politics, it seems to me that every trick in the book is being tried to depose what seems to be legitimately elected leaders (primarily Donald Trump, but other leaders also).

One thing I admire about America's political system is its Second Amendment - the right and responsibility of the citizens to hold the government to account, via the use of force if necessary, if the government starts to act illegally.

However, as Christians, whose kingdom and true King are not of this world, in the event of a political coup by the popular Communist party, or an assassination, or false flag nuclear attack, or some other underhanded tactic, would it be better to let the world deal with the affairs of the world, or as citizens of America, would it be best to fulfill one's responsibilities to restore lawful government to the country?

I ask, because many of the members of the opposing party (e.g. Hillary Clinton), are clearly non-Christians, and would likely go to an eternity in hell were they to die in any coup attempt or subsequent civil war. However, the bible clearly states in Romans that the government of a country does not bear the sword in vain, so it may almost be a dereliction of one's duty and justice, in the event of a coup or takeover and in light of the Second Amendment, if the leaders of the coup were not brought to trial by those holding the ultimate authority - the American citizens.

I trust the above was not offensive, and would be interested to hear Christian responses to (what will hopefully remain) such a hypothetical situation.

Well he is a president who didn’t send anyone to war but tried to bring the troops home...I think that speaks volumes.

It’s yet to be seen what happens to America. Is this another birthing pang...is this a permanent change for Americans? We just don’t know the future, and this waiting and watching and wondering is a hardship which have many fearing the worst.

Don't be misled to believe that most liberals are opposed to firearms. They've got plenty of them. I'm from LA where most that live in traditionally ethnic neighborhoods then to vote for liberals. Thats also where the most shootings, especially drive-by's occur. The liberals aren't lining up to turn their guns in. They just want your's.

I agree with Iamsoandso. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, an watched as humanity tumbled into the pit of chaos. Women's Lib movement was the start of so many behaviors that ruined the home as we knew it. Thank God my parents fled the area and moved our family of nine children back to Maine. The "two worker" household, "latchkey kids" and "free love" were just a few of the new expressions introduces to society and each had it's own effect at tearing down morality and Christianity. I could go on and on about where we left America in the ditch.
