He died to excuse your penalty for committing it, not to give you a license to continue in it. Again, does a cop's grace grant you a license to disregard the speed limit?

Only those who are slaves to sin desire such a license - and will search the Scriptures until they find something to authorize one. But, the Judge is not going to dismiss any case which rests on such theological skullduggery.
He died for the sins of the whole world . Why are you saying people are going to hell paying for sins ..Jesus already paid them .

How are you not advocating works salvation ? what's the difference in what you preach to say the Catholics or Jehovah witnesses ?
Because repentance literally means "change you mind", which has to do with "cognitive choice" (thought) NOT "manifested action" (works).

Choice is not work, it is thought. You may want to sin and are powerless to stop yourself from doing it, but if by grace through faith you choose to obey, in that moment CHRIST IN YOU takes over and gets the obedience done for you, plain and simple. You get no credit. You get no glory. Victory is guaranteed and your faith in Jesus has delivered you from slavery to sin.

THAT'S WHY THE "CHRISTIAN" WHO IS CONSTANTLY MAKING EXCUSES FOR HABITUAL SIN ONLY SERVES TO PROVE HE HAS NOT THE SON OF GOD DWELLING IN HIM. It's not a complicated concept, but very unpopular in our modern sin-loving church.

We don't save ourselves over and over . Nor does Jesus save us over and over . Either your saved and heaven bound right now and always or not at all . Have you really trusted in Christ?

The Choice was and should have been right at the beginning when you heard the Gospel. You don't recieve Jesus and the Holy Spirit in instalments. Its not salvation through a ' cease fire ' . Its a one time event .

Did Jesus die for the sins of the world or not ? I believe people go to hell by not receiving Jesus. If a person does not recieve the atonement he will not be glorified. Not being glorified is why people go to hell . Jesus paid for their sins . But Glorification is only made possible to those who by faith believe the Gospel ..Lets remind ourselves what that is again . What is it a person has to believe in order to recieve salvation ..1 cor 15 gives the Gospel specifically..let's read:
1¶Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3¶For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

, how that Christ died for our sins '
What's this ? " HOW THAT CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS ' .
WHOS SINS ?
1 John 2:2

“And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”

SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD !!!!

You do not believe your bible.
The Cross in not a license to keep on sinning, plain and simple. Jesus didn't die for one single sin from which we refuse to repent. "He that covereth his sin shall not prosper, but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy". Proverbs 28:13

Salvation is a relationship in Christ, not a rubber stamp on your forehead. That's why He said we must "abide in Him". If it were a rubber stamp, then what's the point in warning us of consquences for not abiding?

Why are you assuming those that believe that Jesus completely saves the moment you recieve him , are sinning more than those who advocate conditional salvation/ works ? Its Grace that teaches to live Godly .

Salvation is ' regeneration ' not ' relationship ' Being in Christ through regeneration. And being sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption . Rom 8.23 .

What other reason is there to argue the unBiblical idea that on the road to eternal life, overcoming sin is optional? Let's not delude ourselves: there is only one reason.

The only way you will be glorified is if you are in christ or not . You can claim ' relationship ' all day long ,but if you have not recieved him its in vain . A person can recieve Jesus on Monday and die on Tuesday. He goes to be with the Lord . Through a ' relationship ' ? Through enduring commitment ? Through good deeds of faith? No . He was ' in him ' sealed by the Holy Spirit . A child of God through the new birth ' known of God ' baptised into the body by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus dealt with Sin on the cross. Thats why he died on the cross and his blood was shed . A person is saved when he trusts this to be the case . Until a person humbles himself to accept his position of utter helplessness in light of the cross ,Anything else is rejection of Christ . Its rejection of the free gift of salvation. A man cannot recieve salvation until he trusts the one who did it all. Thats the Gospel. The Gospel is not as the Mormons teach " your saved by grace , AFTER all YOU can DO " .

You see? You lefties keep insisting that "salvation doesn't change ME, just God's OPINION of the sin that remains in me".

The only problem with that idea is that it's just not Biblical - Jesus told you to either abide in Him continually or become a withered dead branch that gets thrown in the fire.

You can claim salvation grants you freedom to sin indiscriminately all you want and still go to heaven, but that doesn't make it so. People have been making up their own doctrines since the beginning, as 2 Corinthians 2:17 attests.

Revelation 22:14 says only those who keep God's commandments have a right to enter the kingdom...so, those who want to enter therein while dragging their cherished sins behind them should prolly rethink their strategy.

No one is saying they are granted to sin . What are you talking about ? Since when does any one teach that sin is good to do and that it reaps rewards ? When they first started putting safety nets under the construction of the brooklyn bridge productivity increased . This is what those who have been deceived into ' condition salvation ' are blind to . And that is assurance and security are the very motivation to live for God .

Keeping the commandments is what those who are in the tribulation are required to do . You do not rightly divide . You do not understand the bible.
