Once you have passed from life you have no chance. You will be judged and that is the end? Take the rich man as an example, after he lifted his eyes in Hell he was surely a believer and knew it was real, but there was no choice or chance for him to repent. He just wanted someone to warn his brothers since they were alive and still had a chance to repent.

To me that pretty well spells it out...You live, you die, and then the judgment.

if free will exists in heaven, does that mean it's possible for people in heaven to rebel against God the same way some angels did ???
Rev 21 says: I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Behold,
the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them.
They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God.
‘He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,’ and there will be no more
death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.”
And the One seated on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.”

Sin is corruption. The saved put on incorruptibility. We are made new creatures :)

if thinking occurs in hell and involves changing from one thought to another, wouldn't that go against your idea of hell being a state of changelessness ???
As opposed to our current state of becoming or ability to change. Change for the better or worse.

do they still have free will:unsure:
Free will is a bit (understatement) of a misnomer, since the will of man is constrained by many factors.

I prefer the term "self will." Many will argue against this LOL.

Yet self will is seen from beginning to end in Scripture.

One's will is either aligned with God's, or not.

Adam and Eve sinned in placing their will above God's. All else do likewise, since we are born
enemies and rebellious toward Him. Jesus said those who sin are slaves of sin. Slaves are not free.

Jesus alone sets us free from this predicament. He overcame sin and death.

Adam and Eve were created sinless but they were still corruptible because they had free will

They required being born again of the Spirit to attain to life ever after... just as we all do.

They ate from the wrong tree  They placed their self will above God's will.

Since Jesus was purposed from before the foundation of the world,
we can safely say God knew they were going to make that choice.

The answer is no, the story of Lazarus and The Rich Man explains this very well.

Luke 16
19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Now what is interesting, is Christ knows the name Lazarus, because his name is in the Book of Life, Christ does not know the rich mans name because he is not in the book...

But this explains your free will everything.... The rich man has 100% knowledge that he is in hell, and wants out, he has free will, yet he cannot get out...

Adam and Eve were created sinless but they were still corruptible because they had free will
Also, they were corruptible because they were earthly and not born again of the Spirit, which is incorruptible.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1 John 2:16

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food [lust of the flesh],
and that it was pleasant to the eyes
[lust of the eyes], and a tree to be desired
to make one wise
[the pride of life], she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat,
and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Genesis 3:6

Focusing on stuff like this is not healthy. Focus on God and his Son who defeated death, hell, and the grave. Greater is he that is within us than he that is within the world. We are to put our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and fear not.
I totally agree to focus only on Christ I only posted that because it happened to me and I felt it pertinent
