You are carrying this to far.....trying to live righteously is not the same as saying ... someone is perfect.
Why do you take it in that direction. Stay with the point rather than apply transference.
thats what’s required man. If you want to earn your salvation by being obedient, or keep from losing it, your required to be perfect,

we both failed many years ago, so we past the point of no return on that issue,

I can’t be saved, maintain salvation, or keep myself from losing salvation by trying to live righteously, the ability to do that has long since passed,

Why do you continue to say that...you know no one is perfect. Isn't that a default position that needs no repeating.
Your right

That means NO ONE KEEPS or HAS KEPT THE LAW

well wait, one did, his name was Jesus!

Do you know why I asked you the questions that I did.

You come in here with a twisted theology, that is way different from our own. And most of us are SOLID OSAS BELIEVERS.

And the BIBLE instructs us to TEST the spirits:

1 John 4:1 (HCSB)
1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to determine if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Therefore we have to make sure your Belief's are at least within the Core of Belief's of mainline Christianity.

NO ONE who does not BELIEVE that JESUS is One and the Same GOD as the HOLY TRINITY; ONE GOD - existing in three distinct personages, the Father, the SON, and the Holy Spirit, and if you do not believe that, you cannot be considered a true Christian.

The REASON I asked what Denomination do you call Home, is then we can look and see in your Doctrinal Statement of Faith, that most of the legitimate Denomoninations post on their website, to see what you are actually, to Believe. NO, I am Not asking for what Church you go to, but JUST THE DENOMINATION.

You have given us a Strangely DIFFERENT Definition, what is New Age Teaching in YOUR MIND, as you have given us a TOTALLY Different Meaning to the Phrase. Therefore, we need to give you the opportunity to clarify the meaning of that phrase, before we choose to ignore everything you say about it, or listen to it.

Now I have a new question.

Do you believe in the HOLY TRINITY ?
And what Denomination do you call HOME ?
And what is New Age Teaching in YOUR MIND ?

Explain what you know about being BORN AGAIN ?

Now in all fairness, here is a Doctrinal Statement of Faith, that I can agree with 100%:

A license prevents punishment for doing that which would otherwise incriminate the unlicensed.

OSAS salvation prevents punishment for doing that which would otherwise incriminate the unsaved.

Therefore, OSAS is a false doctrine which claims salvation is a license to commit the same iniquity for which impenitent sinners will be punished.

Everything you say above is false. Salvation once and for all does not have the word "license" in it. That is a made up theology by those of you who believe you have to work to earn, keep salvation.

Cherry pick? It’s not I doing that.

I refrain from deliberate known sin because I love Jesus and my neighbor, therefore I wish to please my Lord and help my neighbor find eternal life.

OSAS makes excuses for willfully choosing to indulge the pleasures of sin, while presumptuously claiming the blood of Jesus covers it. It doesn’t cover the Unpardonable Sin...which is stubborn refusal to repent of iniquity - whatever it may be - until results loss the ability to repent of it is lost, and God can’t pardon that for which we don’t ask it.

Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is telling the HS to leave you alone when He tries to help you overcome temptation until the spiritual callous developing in your ear finally renders you incapable of hearing Him.
There is only ONE sin which will not be forgiven. The sin of "unbelief" yet you twist your own version of that as well. You do not live a sinless life no matter how you portray yourself in this group. There is the sin of judging others which you seem pretty good at on here. You say you "love your neighbor" yet all you do in this group is to judge. There is only one Judge and He is the only one given that authority.

I AGREE! But did you see the NEW ONE that wants to call people heretics in the Show All section with a red X, before he or she even knows what one believes or not. Sounds like that Catholic that wanted to call all Protestants a Heretics.

7,500 pages and 150,000 posts in this thread and it's still the same story.

the scripture says it is by grace through faith, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
the accuser says anyone who believes this is teaching, encouraging & practicing sin.

o_O

isn't it a bit ironic that you call me a 'hermeneutical mess' while you yourself insert some imaginary 'false prophet' into the parable that is not in the text at all?
show me the verse describing the fantasy person who told these make-believe things to the wicked servant . . ?

here you are adding imaginary characters to scripture, purely fictional targets for the animosity that dwells in your heart, yet at the same time you go around saying you're the one 'reasoning from scripture instead of human ideas'

remarkable
Didn’t call you a hermeneutical mess - I said that of your post.

Regarding the OSAS false prophet I referred to, I assumed you were intelligent enough to understand I was being facetious and mature enough not to accuse me of being dishonest for such an obvious exaggeration.

I suspect, RED X is back! Same MO, he or she is a Catholic that puts a RED X on everything Prostestants BELIEVE with their whole heart. Remember, over a year ago, we had a problem that.

Yes, the UNPARDONABLE SIN is any sin for which we fail to seek pardon because of our UNBELIEF in Jesus’ words that we must do so.
yet you twist your own version of that as well.
The only twisting that takes place when it is shown that OSAS teaches salvation is a license to sin, is the twisting of YOUR warped theology back into Biblical theology.

You have NO IDEA what habits I’ve overcome through the power of my indwelling Jesus....but since YOU went there...don’t be jealous because you sit in church shouting about how you’re “more than a conqueror” but later get your butt handed to you by Satan when he comes around with that sinful habit you love so much and then afterward praise God that the precious blood of His Son gives you permission to sin.

You truly believe Jesus can give you victory over temptation?

Then, please stop pretending someone has a gun to your head forcing you to indulge that habit and start getting on your knees when you’re tempted and then rise up one who is TRULY “more than a conqueror”.

you confessed that you can do nothing of yourself.
  • where'd you get choice if you can do nothing of yourself?
  • how are you exercising something if you can do nothing of yourself?
  • how do you surrender if you can do nothing of yourself?
  • how is it you can trust if you can do nothing of yourself?
  • where did you get will when you can do nothing of yourself?
  • where did you get freedom if you can do nothing of yourself?
you said a bunch of stuff that you do; your will, your choice, your exercise.
but scripture says
it is not of human will, desire or effort, but of God who has mercy.

did you look in the mirror this morning and forget that you can do nothing of yourself?
you can do nothing of yourself.

here's my super-profound revelatory thought for you:

1 John 2:3 comes after 1 John 2:1
If we don’t have freedom of choice, why are we told to CHOOSE God over Satan, good over evil, right over wrong, righteousness over filthiness?

Calvinism is no different than the “Exclusivity Religion” of Luciferian Occultism in that they both say, “I’m an enlightened chosen one and you ain’t, so away with thee, ye profane scum.” What a disgusting misrepresentation of God’s loving character and His wonderous love for every single creature in His universe.

It seems to me that the Elect are changed so that they do not want to walk away from God. Phil. 2:13.
Your verse doesn’t say one can’t change his mind again - that is inference and there’s too much “doctrine” built upon such.

Jesus says the “love of many shall wax cold”, which is the “agape love of the saints” because sinners don’t partake of agape, right or wrong? Jesus warned these saints will not endure to the end and will not be saved because the iniquity they went back to practicing sniffed out their agape.

There’s no other way to interpret this passage of Jesus.

Some people claim they trust God, But by their words show they have no faith in God at all..
Another OSAS blunder - it’s by our WORKS we show the existence of faith, or lack thereof.

That’s why those who are bankrupt of the evidence of faith need to invent a license to commit sin. :)

and i point this out again- same man, same letter- " and this is His command, to believe in the name of the Son and love one another".

can't just cherry pick verses and present them as stand alone.
OK, time’s up - I’ll have to spell it out for you :) - “commandments” is PLURAL. So, along with “believe” what other “commandments” are we supposed to do?

(Hint: The ones Psalms 111:7-8 KJV says God made and wrote with His hands — IN STONE — and “are sure; they stand fast forever and ever and are done in truth and uprightness.”

If you disagree, then can I have Satan as my god before God and still go to heaven? Or steal? Or lie?

Yes, “believe” means so much more than the shallow definition as assigned to it by Churchianity. Even them devils believe.

You mean they are sinless? Wow I have never met one have you?
The people I know fall down seven times but rise back up - but as for those who climb down to the filth and plop down in it and swat away the uplifting hand of God and flash that OSAS license to sin in His face, the Bible says don’t keep company with such “believers” ;)

The lord chastens who he is.

OSAS does not deny or reject this.

Once again, You slander people with a false truth
Yep, you’ve still yet to show any difference between a license and OSAS’ version of salvation - and are still unable to discern that “slander” is something done to a person, not a belief. Perhaps one of your echo chamber companions can help you.

Wow, you do not even know what the Unpardonabe Sin really is.

Tell us what you THINK Born Again really means ? ? ?
First, tell us why you prefer to focus on human weakness instead of the victorious life wha a weak sinner can accomplish through the indwelling power of Jesus?

Do you ever experience victory over temptation?

Do you want to?

Or, are you one of those modern Antinomianists who argue it’s a SIN to try to keep the Ten Comnandments?

Sorry, you’re wrong. Obedience is the evidence of a true disciple of Jesus:

1 John 2:3-4 KJV

1 John 5:2-3 KJV
Why bring up apples when we speak of oranges? It makes very little, or rather NO sense to do so.

And you can't just make up your own definition for the unpardonable sin/blasphemy, either.

Mark 3:28–29, Matthew 12:31–32, and Luke 12:10

Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, but whoever
blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.

And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven,
but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven,
but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

Philippians 1:6 ~ Confident of this, that He Who began a good work
in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Any who deny this thereby commits blasphemy.

Titus 3:5-7 (HCSB)
5 He saved usnot by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
6 He poured out this ⌊Spirit⌋ on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 so that having been justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NJB)
8 Because it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith; not by anything of your own, but by a gift from God;
9 not by anything that you have done, so that nobody can claim the credit.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 (NKJV)
20 For there is not a just man on earth who does good And does not sin.

James 2:10 (NIV)
10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point
is guilty of breaking all of it.

Romans 3:23 (HCSB)
23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 3:28 (GWT)
28 We conclude that a person has God's approval by faith, not by his own efforts.

Romans 11:6 (HCSB)
6 Now if by grace,
then it is not by works; otherwise grace ceases to be grace.

2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9
He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

Matthew 7:20 (HCSB)
20 So you’ll recognize them by their fruit.
