Believe it or not I know some of them songs not because im that old lol but was a DJ on
an oldie moldy radio station for a short time years ago ever hear of the Buckingham's?
Hey now, that's pretty cool :)

I have heard of them Buckinghams ;)

Don't recall anything they did, though... :unsure:

In connection with music, the name Buckingham makes me think of Fleetwood Mac :D

And although Lindsey and Stevie's presence in that band catapulted them into the hearts
of millions, securing international fame and one of the top selling LPs of all time (Rumors)
I still have a special place in my heart for Fleetwood Mac's music pre-Buckingham/Nicks ;)

That's awesome, Amber! I always wondered what it would be like to be a radio DJ. I didn't recognize the name Buckinghams but I looked up one of their songs called Kind Of A Drag and it sounds very familiar and I like it. I love 60s love songs too. :D The Association's "Never My Love" is probably my favorite 60s love song.

I do remember this song now. I really like it. It's one of those songs I've forgotten about.

Just another fun fact was the song turn turn turn by the Byrds was almost not played over commercial radio because of the religious beliefs sprinkled in it.

It was before my time but I like all the 'Peter Greens' Fleetwoodmac.. What a guitarist. Albatross was a great tune.

Another favorite of mine from the past, and here is where the "sprinkling" came from:

Ecclesiastes chapter 3

[1] To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
[2] A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
[3] A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
[4] A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
[5] A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
[6] A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
[7] A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
[8] A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Well, after another night of only 4 hours of sleep, I probably should be listening to a lullaby right about now.

I must confess that I still LOVE this song that I used to play for my children:

On another note (no pun intended), this website finally allowed me to become a paid member last night, BUT I'm still unable to start private conversations. Every time that I try to, I get a message which tells me that I need to become a paid member...and I already did.

What's up with that?
