what scriptures do Christians most often misinterpret and why?

One verse within a wider passage that gets said alot is.. in Matt 18..
'Where two are three are gathered there I am in the midst of them '
Many Christians will say this applies to 2 or 3 believers gathered in ANY context.
The primary application in the passage tho is 2 or 3 gathered as part of a local church family.. for the purpose of resolving sin issues with a sinning brother.

Every day is a new day, Most scriptures where befor Jesus went to the cross. I think thats the biggest mistake we make forgetting that a lot of sciptures where spoken to people who where not walking in the spirit.
I would say you need to really work hard NOT to read Paul as quite literally saying that ....
Romans 7
1.Do you not know, brothers--for I am speaking to men who know the law--that the law has authority over a man only as long as he lives? ...
4 So, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God...
6 But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.
We will allways need more interpretation of scripture. scripture cant be worked out on Just one phrase of the bible, the mind tho says enough and wants a simple understanding, so its easy to fall into the mind set that this all you need to understand scripture is a golden rule. Theres allways a question to question a scripture, or theres allways your own understanding of one scripture that clashes with your own understanding of a nother scripture. If you have a good freind to talk to about understanding scripture, the two of you will not fall out over difference of opinion. Showing spiritual disernment will be appreciated between friends and not taken as perosnal critisim or Judging one a nother. In a public forum you dont have that luxury always, Theres a lot of hurting people, You also have to tread on egg shells with some topics of faith, because faith means so much to people especially topics about salvation. Its a really sencitive area that should you get wrong in somebodies else eyes you will wound them, and then you have to pass an examination of your faith, and sadly it becomes personal and you have to pass an examination of your nature and attitude.
But on a whole if you leave for a couple of days and come back most christians forget and forgive lol so its all good. Ive forgot many issues with scripture and its like they havent happened to me. but no doubt issues with scripture will pop up again lol and then we could go back to world war 3 again, unless i choose to bridle my tounge lol.
But personaly i dont have issues with scripture untill there raised lol, im sure thats the same for most people.
I think to my self why do i raise issues with scripture and then my mind says maybe it was the spiritual enemy Jesus warned us about. That we need to take every thought captive.
I honestly dont think people are entirely to blame for there own actions in theese circumastances, but others would disagree on this. Quite often i have been convicted and quite often ive herd the question, How did you come to sin and i honestly dont know how i could of sinned at the time of sinning. Or how i let my self faulter, Its at that moment im forgiven. Perhaps the lord recognises that our spiritual enemy can cause a person to faulter or sin etc.
I know that our enemy would like a person to turn bitter and always remind you of other peoples faults. or even your own faults, or raise a fault to cause division.
I know Jesus tells us many christians are suffering because of spiritual oppresion.
Its so easy to be distracted by the enemy and not rememeber what you have to do befor you open your mouth and let go of your bridle lol. Im currently practising keeping my tounge bridled lol

The biggest mistake we make with any Scripture is in thinking it does not have any application to lives here and today.
2 Timothy
3:14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned [them];
3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Scripture is intended for all to hear and obey. It is pertinent to all of us.
2 Timothy

Not in my experience, when I meet with one other Spirit filled Christian and stay in the Spirit we both palpably experience His presence, just as this verse explains.
Many like to add “to be” in him and that’s not the verse. The subject is Christ and the blessings found in him.

Acts 2:38 which speaks about the authority one does baptism. The Didache dating 40 AD by A.T. Robertson a church manual clearly says In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is a historical doctrine.
DEUTERONOMY 22:8
