Of course it's all about the coffee and cannoli.
Coffee is down a bit this morning but I kinda thought that it would be.
But tomorrow it will recover nicely.

I was thinking about making some of what they call sausage balls this morning...
A type of quickbread that contains large amounts of sausage and cheese to the point that there's very little biscuit to them.

Yeah... better get cracking on them.

1# of breakfast sausage...if you try to use the ones in casings remove the casings.
2 cups of Bisquick (shortened preleavened flour)
1# of shredded cheese (I like sharp cheddar myself)
1/2 cup milk.

Mix it together with the paddle in your stand mixer...roll out pecan to walnut sized balls and place on parchment or something (silicon baking mat)

350° F for 20 minutes or until the sausage is cooked.

Variations have included such things as various other types of bulk sausage including Italian or spicy sausage. Chopped Green onion or chives and of course various types of cheese.

These are usually a breakfast type food but can be used as finger foods at a party...can use some parmesan/peppercorn dip with them as well (ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing)

Ohh that's making me hungry, I might give it a try at some point.... We have what we call Square sausage (Lorne sausage) it has no casing so will do the trick I think(y)

not when they don't go to bed till almost midnight...........
then hubs wants to stay up till wee early hours playing and watching the classic black & white holiday movies w/o interruption, so I can't really get it put together till about 3 which is usally the latest I can stay up before passing out but now have to push myself........... then the kids start getting up EARLY like 5 am (the ONE TIME out of 365 days that they actually get up ) and you have to have all the empty paper rolls hidden and everything arranged under the tree, and an empty glass of milk and cookie crumbs and carrot crumbs, and...............
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
