I absolutely agree, which is why I wondered why you were dismissing God's word out of hand. Apparently it doesn't sit right with your opinion about "other Scriptures".

All scriptures are profitable for teaching, and instruction in righteousness.

Stop being dishonest., and keep the lies off my Thread.

Go and look at my Thread.
I have at least 10 verses in it.
You should put away your commentaries and then you might recognize the NT verses.

You may have posted scripture somewhere, but in response to my posts you don’t.

Jesus warned us to remain “in Him”

If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15:6

Here is how the scriptures teach us to remain “in Christ”

Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. John 3:24

  • he who keeps His commandments abides in Him

If you have a problem with obeying our Lord, then you might want to ask yourself, why.

Absolutely, so I'm still wondering why you dismissed the passage of Scripture I posted which clearly puts your personal opinion at rest.

Do you even know what the command of the Lord is?

And yet if scripture opposes your view you dismiss it is that how you treat the truth? From what I can tell as along as it fits your narrative it is truth but if not then it isn't it is a biased view of truth and you contradict yourself in doing so.
Now as for obeying who are you say who is obeying God or not? Do you know others hearts? do you know if you have a plank in your eye before you point out another persons? Their salvation is not for you to decide that right remains alone with God

I haven’t “dismissed” any scripture. I simply stated that other scriptures do not make the scripture I quoted, not true.

We don’t pit scripture against scripture.

We don’t try to take one scripture, to nullify another scripture.

Discussing the scriptures that are presented, rather than making derogatory remarks about me, or saying I’m lying because a person doesn’t like the truth is not how Christians are to behave.

Other Scriptures never make other Scriptures untrue... it makes your interpretation a grave error.

There are many, however they all are summed up in loving God and loving your neighbor.

If you steal from your neighbor or commit adultery with your neighbors wife is that loving your neighbor or hating him?

If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. 1 John 4:20-21

The whole of the law is summed up in Love. Who decides if you are loving God and loving others?

I already addressed the lie

your statements that no scripture(s) provided is not true

don't be in such a hurry to try and squash everyone else's posts. apparently you are missing what is actually posted

I don’t want squash anyone’s post. I’m trying to bring a perspective that some Christians haven’t thought of.

wel you have actually

when you deny what someone else posts, you are squashing it

saying someone did not post scripture when they did....well that is either you overlooking or else not being honest for some reason

I've discussed your perspective many many times in this forum and elsewhere

seems other responders to this thread have also seen your perspective and do not agree

Each of us must make the choice to love our brothers.

God will judge who is and who isn’t.

Here is one definition of Love.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:2-3
