I was never under the law of Moses.

JPT
If you are born on this earth, you are "born under the law".
Maybe you were hatched or came from Mars?

Here is the thing.....In Galatians 4, Paul teaching...>He said that Jesus was born under the law".
And this same Christ had to fulfill the Law on your behalf or you could not be offered redemption from the Law, through the body of Christ.

This teaching came from Paul, who is the "apostle to the gentiles", and YOU are now living in the "time of the Gentiles". "born under the law".

You might consider being thankful that He did this for you, if you are born again.
If you're not, then keep talking about the LAW in 100 more posts.

and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law; to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law; 1 Corinthians 9:20-21

All that caused this....."""""""24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. (the law)..."""""

The born again are "no longer under the law, but under Grace".

Here is the thing.....In Galatians 4, Paul teaching...>He said that Jesus was born under the law".

Yes, Jesus was born under the law of Moses.

You and I were not.

The law of Moses was nailed to the cross with Christ, having been abolished in His flesh.

The law of Moses was the enmity between Jew and Gentile, the dividing wall of separation; the thing that separated Jew from Gentile. In Christ, because the law of Moses has been taken out of the way, Jew and Gentile are one in Christ.

For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. Ephesians 2:14-16

In the New Covenant we are under the Spirit.

Being under the law meant; obligation to obey the law

Being under the Spirit means; under obligation to obey the Spirit.

That is why the scripture says…. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

The law of Moses was nailed to the cross with Christ, having been abolished in His flesh.
The Law is abolished for those who are redeemed by the One who abolished it.
If you are not born again, then what Christ abolished, is not imputed to you.
In other words....the born again are under Grace, while the unbelievers are still under the law, UNTIL, they are born again.
When they become born again, then what Christ did on the Cross is applied to them.

See, the finished work of Jesus on the Cross, is an OFFER, to those who believe.
And once you do, then what He said "is FINISHED", is applied to you.
If you are not born again, then the Offer of the Cross is not applied to you, so you are still under the law, ...here..... John 3:36

Again, the law of Moses was abolished at the cross.

You stated that “If you are born on this earth, you are "born under the law".

We are however born under a certain law.

What law is it we are all born under?

Again, the law of Moses was abolished at the cross.
Yes, .......but this CROSS, is an OFFER.
It establishes the New Covenant.

However, it does not automatically produce GRACE for everyone.

So, the Cross, and the Law being Abolished, and the payment for the sin of the World, which is the New Covenant, ......is an OFFER, to all who will BELIEVE.

When a person is born again, then what Christ has accomplished becomes the law abolished and sin forgiven for THEM.

See, if the law is abolished for the world, then there would be no reason for anyone to go to the Cross to be "redeemed from the curse of the Law".

The Law is abolished for those who are redeemed by the One who abolished it.

No, the law of Moses was abolished at the cross by the One who added it in the first place. The law of Moses was always temporary.

What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator. Galatians 3:19

The law of Moses was added until the Seed should come.

Again, the Messiah, the Christ, has come and the law of Moses has been taken out of the way, to make way for the New Covenant.

“Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Jeremiah 31:31-33

  • I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

No, the law of Moses was abolished

Let me show you this.....

Have you ever sinned?
Have you.......ever sinned, since you were born?
If you say "no" then you just sinned again, because you would have just LIED.

Why have you sinned?
Its because the LAW defines your disobedience as "sin".
So, you could not do that, you could not sin, or be a SINNER, unless you are under the law, defined by the law.

Yes.

Did Adam sin?

Which law was Adam guilty of ?

HINT: It’s the same law we are all born under, and was 2000 years before Moses was born.

Actually faith and grace are extended to everyone who hears the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
the Cross is the offer of God's Grace, at all times.
You dont have to hear it....as its been offering God's Blood for 2000 yrs.
It'll be offering it, after you are dead, just like it was offering it to the 'world".....John 3:16, before you were born.

Jesus said..."if i be lifted up (on the Cross), i will draw ALL MEN TO ME">

There is your offer.

Its to ALL.........but not all will have it......>Yet, the offer is always there. John 3:16,17

Faith comes by hearing God, whether directly as Noah did, or indirectly through the preaching of the Gospel.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Adam and Lucifer were the same, regarding iniquity.
Both had "iniquity found in them".

See, where there is no LAW, there is no SIN.... as its the Law that defines it.

However, it can be that iniquity, is found in the person, when there is no Law.

Lucifer was found to have iniquity in him, when He was in Heaven, and there is no law in Heaven.
The Law came by Moses, to man.....on earth.

Adam, was before Moses gave the law, so, it was iniquity that was found in Him, (disobedience) that was his fall.

There was no law, when Noah and family were saved by the Ark.
The Ark is symbolic of the Cross, and the Water, the FLOOD< is symbolic of God's wrath against Sin.

Now its this....... John 3:36

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— Romans 5:12

There was no law?

Then why did Adam’s sin, a violation of God’s law, spread to all men?

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men…
