My summary is Romans 14
The context of Romans 14 is fasting. People were being judged based off of how and when they fasted.... This is not Gods law that they were being judged off of, but mad made rules. Verses in this chapter, and many others seem to be saying something they are not because they are taken out of context and applied in a very general manner.

The new covenant is built on better promises partly (and a large part at that) because we are
not required to follow the 613, of which Peter said none could. That means none of those to
whom it was given. So you have not yet identified which laws were to be carried out?

When I asked what you meant by the law, you said, "I mean all intsructions given by the Father
to mankind. From "be fruitful and multiply".... to the mosaic laws.... the commandments.... Holy days....
Sabbaths.... etc. Of course all laws weren't given to all people for all times.
"

Since the new covenant will "not be like the covenant I made with their fathers"
(those are God's words ;)), how do you think if differs if the laws have not changed?

It seems contradictory to say parts of the law no longer apply and say at the same time the law
has not changed. The Mosaic law included all 613 mitzvot and was considered to be a whole from
which nothing could
be subtracted or ignored. You refer to holy days and Sabbaths as part of
the law, when Sabbath keeping was not mentioned as part of the New Covenant. That is because
the Sabbath rest refers to Jesus, and the fact that we do not work for our salvation :)
Last time i checked, Jesus reduced the 613 commandments down to Two.
Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Then why did you say this?

This is the spiritual part of the law... the PURPOSE for the law. All of the laws fit into one of these categories. These are not new laws... it is WHY we are to follow them.

It is not MY sabbath... its THE sabbath. Why are you concerned with what I do on the sabbath? I think you should focus more on what the scriptures say.
will i don't know about his sabbath aka his god but here's my gods sabbath Isaiah 58 :13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:...Really 2 b in love with god

So give us Scriptures.
Just for you rubber ducky....

Exodus 20:8-11

8 “Remember the Sabbath day, maintaining its holiness. 9 Six days you are to labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. You are not to do any work—neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your livestock, nor any foreigner who lives among you— 11 because the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything that is in them in six days. Then he rested on the seventh day. Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

What about to love God with all your heart, soul and mind?... and these aren't new commandments... They are the purpose of the existing commandments. Look at the 10 commandments, you will see that half of them fall into the category of loving God and half of them loving your neighbor.

This the 11 of the 10 commandments
Jhn 13:34
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.[Deuteronomy 6:5 is the greatest command but not listed in the 10] commandments

This again is part of the spirit of the law... its purpose. The 10 commandandments and other laws are external actions... this is internal. You do the external because of the internal.

Ok then... so even in the OT you didn't have to keep the law perfectly to receive approval (justification) from the Father.
You can’t keep the law

thats the point!

it was a burden no one could keep. Yet you want to put people under that burden

shame on you

Brother, i understand you desire righteousness by the Law but i would urge you to reconsider on this basis - no one has been successful except One = Immanuel, God with us.

Now therefore (Brother MalikB), why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
