My husband is taking me through Borderlands 2 now, and I love it! Also anything Mario-related is always great!

I'm currently wandering around CrossCode. It's a game about a character in a game...

I'm big on games with good stories, and this one promises to be great!

A girl wakes up in the middle of an MMO. She has no idea who she is, but the people talking to her just told her that in real life she is lying in a coma. They put her mind back into the MMO she used to play, hoping she will remember something and/or wake up in real life.

At least... that's the story for now. We'll see how it turns out. I get the feeling the people "helping" the main character are not being QUITE honest, but have good intentions nonetheless.

I've not played 1 or 2. I played 3. It was cool, but the homosexual stuff started getting annoying. Then the expansion pack that came out was about 2 men getting married. I couldn't stomach the game anymore and quit it.
So if you consider playing 3, be aware of what to expect.
Outside of the homosexual agenda elements it was a fun game though. Too bad they ruined it.

I prefer strategy games by Creative Assembly and Paradox.

My number one favorite right now is Rome: Total War Remastered. The OG was my favorite game between its release in 2004 and 2007 or thereabouts. They just gave it a new coat of paint and improved the AI some here in 2021.

Funny part is how it came full circle. Strategy games are typically longer now. Their maps are larger. They take more turns. There are more mechanics to get a handle on (some of them redundant and do nothing for the game). They're super fun and immersive when you have nothing else to do.

As an adult with more responsibilities and interests. A short, simple, and satisfying campaign is just better. If I want more, there are a couple of free mods out there that make the game longer and more historically accurate, but I just like the simple beats of the main campaign.

So the favorite game of my childhood became the favorite game of my adulthood for different reasons. Funny how life works.

Honorable mentions: Crusader Kings 3, Napoleon: Total War, Total War Shogun 2, and Total War Troy with the mythos DLC.

Mostly just Minecraft. I was playing Mass Effect Andromeda, but haven't really touched it much. I played it about a year ago when I suddenly lost a good 30 hours of game play.
When I came back recently the way the game handled saves seemed improved, but I'm pretty sure I just lost hours of game play again. Hence why I've not touched it.

I'd like to find a new game to play but so little looks even remotely interesting. I'm fairly picky and not being a gamer I don't look at games the way gamers do.
Once in a while I'll go back to Skyrim or Heroes of the Storm. But playing unmodded Skyrim is tough. And I don't know enough to make the mods work well together. So it can be crash city for me. I basically end up constantly saving and get annoyed.
I did Diablo 3, but wow, how a game where you constantly do the same levels over and over almost daily is so popular dumbfounds me.
I was a big WoW fan, but after 15+ years I got quite sick of it. And they became so greedy it was ridiculous.

Ooh cool! Speaking of stories im about to attempt to make my own Visual novel. We got to get some good Christian games on the switch. There putting alot of toned down H games on it. A move I never expected from Nintendo 😳

Yeah the switch has been releasing toned down porn games lately. They were reduced to an M rating but definitely strange for Nintendo. I suppose if your old enough to play the m rated version your probably old enough to play the uncensored ones with the cut xxx content (at least I would hope so..)

Diablo 2 was just rereleased. From what I hear 3 pales in comparison according to fans. I played the heck outta the first Diablo.

I know nothing of that. I just play games on PC. I haven't owned a console in 20+ years.
Nor do I remember anything graphic in Borderlands 3.
Also I'd not want to play a game that was that sexually graphic. I play games to kill crap and blow stuff up. Or in the case of MC, build stuff.

Yeah. I've seen all about the Diablo 2 release. Not really enticing to me. Revamping old games I never played to begin with doesn't interest me. Even when WoW did Classic I wasn't interested and I started right before they released their first Xpac.
If I get bored enough, which is possible, I may check it out one day.

For me it depends what they remaster and how they remaster of it. As much as I loved the original Mass Effect Trilogy, I can't justify buying the remaster when it adds so little and the graphics for 2 and 3 still rock the house.

Yeah I would love to get a PC but steam is far to tempting for me with all the potential mods 😳 Skyrim alone I don't think it would be good for me lol. Systems are far easier to manage and as far as I know mods aren't as edgy as they might be on steam

I never played the first three so them re-releasing them doesn't interest me.
There are some old games that may be fun to find updated to work on modern PCs, but only if they were cheap haha.

I don't use Steam. And none of the, excessive, mods were of interest to me, either. So that isn't a problem for me.
Not being a gamer a console feels wasteful to me. I'm not a big fan of the controller play style. Nor of spending $500+ to play $50+ games. Or not being able to find any games that sound good. I'll stick to my laptop. Guess my age is showing. 🤪

Yeah the more "Adult only" mods are my concern. I collect consoles but I rarely buy em. My most recent console is a Japanese n64. Tbh other than a Japanese ps2 the only consoles I still want is a ps3 (which are fairly cheap now) and a Japanese Sega Saturn. Ps5 is of no interest to me rn. Im almost always on the Switch store buying games that are on sale. The only tim I spend over 40 bucks is on Nintendo exclusives. Next month Metroid 5 comes out so im definitely getting that. As for ps4 I got the Psn subscription which has hundreds of games to choose from and play. Some you can download and keep to. I try not to spend much on games.

Oh dang, I didn't know that. That's a real bummer! I haven't encountered it yet on 2, but we aren't too far into it and also I keep forgetting to listen to what the people are talking about.
