Yur right.

Until the last person is led to christ. The law still curses every person who does not keep every word.

If your a child of God. The schoolmaster has completed its job in you. Look now not to the law of moses. But the law of Christ. In whinch all the law and prophets are fulfilled.
What is the law of Christ? Would you define it as Christ's moral teachings in the Sermon on the Mount?

In that Sermon, Christ told us that we will be called great in the kingdom if we obey and teach the least of the commandments in the Old Testament.

Which is to bear one another's burdens, according to Galatians 6.

But really, the scripture teaches, not that we are under the law of Christ; but that we are under the law to Christ (1 Corinthians 9:22 (kjv)).

Your thread title "Our new relationship with the law" does not agree with the Law or the Prophets.

Our New Relationship is with 'Who' the Law said we are to follow.
The thread title was "Our new relationship to the law."

It was given to do that...specifically to show us that we are sinners in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:20).
Yep

But after we found the savior. It has completed its job.

In James 2:10-12, we are told that the commandments "Thou shalt not kill" and "Thou shalt not commit adultery" are a part of the law of liberty.

Furthermore, the law of Moses is written on our hearts and minds under the New Covenant (Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16, Romans 8:7, Romans 8:4, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6, Romans 13:8-10; Romans 5:5; 1 John 2:3-6).

In this sense they are not written in stone but in fleshy tables of the heart.

It is when a person is not born again that the ten commandments are merely written on stone tablets to that person. They have not made an impact on the life of the unbeliever and therefore they are external to him.
James 2: 10 proves my point

James 2: 10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.

Its not the law of liberty. Its the law which condemns everyone who does not keep every word.

If I do not murder but I break another command, (lie) I am just as guilty

I would define it as the law of Love.

We are not under the law period.

Your trying to put us back under it. Shame Shame

No doubt.

Of course, we are also blessed in what we do if we look into the perfect law of liberty and abide by its moral tenets (Matthew 5:17-20, James 2:22-25).

You can;t keep the law. The sermon on the mount also taught the law can not even tell you every possible way of sinning (If I even look at a woman etc etc)

The law is flawed for that reason. It can prove you a sinner, and lead you to the lamb of God and his sacrifice

IT CAN”T help you grow in christ

Rom 13:8, Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
Rom 13:9, For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Rom 13:10, Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

1Jo 5:2, By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jo 5:3, For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

2Jo 1:6, And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
And as Jesus told us to do

Matthew 22:37-40
37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

1st command to love God with all our heart/soul/mind.
2nd being like it love our neighbour as ourselves.

Oh yes he also said love our enemies as well.
Another commandment.

Yes, and according to Romans 13:8-10, if we obey the law of love we will not violate the ten commandments or any other commandment. Also 1 John 5:3 and 2 John 1:6.
Thats WHY you look to that. Not the law of moses

But if you say you are without sin, you also decieve yourself. And there is no truth in you (1 John 1: 8)

I think that you are not understanding what is written in the OP.
I think I understand perfectLy.

The law has done its job. We have no new relationship with the law. IT IS DEAD TO US.

Now to the world and lost. It still has a purpose

If we attempt to keep a set of do's and don'ts (the letter of the law), we will utterly fail (Galatians 6:13).

However, if we receive the Holy Spirit through faith in Christ (Galatians 3:14), and then walk according to that Spirit, the righteousness of the law will be fulfilled in us (Romans 8:4).

If we bear the fruit of the Spirit there is no law that will condemn us in our behaviour (Galatians 5:22-23). Therefore, we will be law-abiding citizens of the kingdom of heaven.

This is a righteousness apart from the law that is nevertheless attested to by the law and the prophets (Romans 3:21) that it is righteousness indeed.

The law reveals to us whether or not we are sinners (whether or not we are walkling according to the Spirit, so that the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in us). It shows us whether or not we are still sinners in need of a Saviour/ salvation.

For those who are born of God have it as their general disposition that they "do not" and "cannot sin.

Take that as hypoerbole if you like. For, if it is, then it is exaggeration to make a point.

What point? That if anyone is born again, their life will change and they will begin to walk in holiness and righteousness.

As it is written,

Pro 4:18, But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

So your a sinless perfection guy? Now it makes sense

Again, John calls you decieved.

Right. The OP teaches that that is our new relationship to the law. That we are dead to it, as concerning condemnation.

It remains that we will be called great in the kingdom if we obey and teach the least of the commandments in the Old Testament, and the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:17-20).
