Justification/positional sanctification

Conditional sanctification as we walk and trust gid and grow in him

Perfect sanctification/glorification. As our sanctification matches our justified state of perfection

there are carnal ways to understand things... from our own mind.. .and from others. and there are spiritual (better) ways to understand things -- from better ways of looking at things, and/or from -- the Spirit of God.

Your right. The HS will sanctify us. As you said not to perfection. But he will work on us. We will never be like we were before. We are new creatures sealed by his spirit.

But no sir! I can't agree with you and Grandpa that the Ten Commandments is "the Law of sin and death."

The law of sin and death is called "original sin." This is the law which Paul said works in the members of the physical body of all of us.

It takes one into bondage making the person "a slave to sin."

The "law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus" is what delivers us from this "law of death."

Can you explain why the stone tablets were placed in the arc of the covenant?

The two laws that Paul brings to light in Romans 8,

The Law of Sin and Death

The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus

are the most powerful laws in the universe.

The fallen nature of Adam in us "the sin nature" brings us into captivity to sin.

This is what condemns us to the death sentence of breaking the Law, we can't deliver ourselves from this Law of Sin and death.

The Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is the most powerful Law know to man, it is the power of Christ who has defeated sin for us and faith in Him sets us free from the Law of sin and death.

Ps 85:10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Why were the tablets of stone in the arc?

This is the root of the f understanding of the law

I didn't say you have no knowledge of the Law, e-g, statements such as that are conversation killers!

No doubt you have great knowledge of the Law, that we share in common.

To answer the question about the 10 commandments being placed in the ark, they were placed there to be carried over into the promised land, a type and symbol of being carried over into the New Covenant.

i think they could use some help on this thread, "Jesus Came To Fulfill Not To Destroy".


I was thinking of posting this over there -- what you say here maybe. I see you have already posted something there though.
