I replied to your Post #934.

How about you deal with the issues in Post #936

In post #934, brightfame52 says:

"they did not have to believe or repent to get that Legal standing of Justification from all sin before God "

In Scripture, the Lord Jesus Christ says:

Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

In Scripture, Peter says:

Acts 2:37-38 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

In Scripture, Paul says:

Acts 17:30-31 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

You’ve heard this before . But it doesn’t fit your theology Brightfame. So just start chucking out every scripture that mentions every man , whosoever, all men , it’s what you do. Jesus represented MAN. As Adam did. He had to die As Unfallen Man representing all men to restore the lost dominion without taking it back from the devil by force . I’ve explained it before . Look at it . It is in front of you. The free gift came upon all men to the justification of life. Whosover believeth…Faith is the prerequisite of salvation, not election.

Is the Reason for Adoption !

The Death of the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished the reason for receiving the Spirit of Adoption.

All for whom Christ died, He redeemed from the curse of the Law, solely by what He did, God made Him a curse for all whom He died Gal 3:13

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

And because of that or in order to Gal 4:4-5

4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Which is accomplished by sending the Spirit into their Hearts V6 Gal 4:6

4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,258

5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

So to make it short and to the point, all whom Christ died for, have been redeemed from the curse of the Law, and they shall all receive the Spirit in their Hearts.

Ezk 36:27

And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Rom 5:11

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

The Atonement of Christ has reconciled the elect world to God. It secured and ensured for it [ the elect world] every spiritual blessing needed to live unto God and for His Glory through Jesus christ.

Even before the elect are born into this world as sinners, they have already [by the blood of Christ] been reconciled to God, it will now be a matter of time for it to be manifested.

The atonement accomplished the complete salvation for all whom it was offered for, that is the death of christ. It provides them Faith, repentance, sanctification, redemption, and every needful spiritual blessing to convert them to God, and remain secured forever.
I believe in due time God saves the elect

Jesus does not foreordain anyone for salvation . Not in the Bible . Faith is necessary. The obedience of faith. You can copy and paste every Calvinistic webpage on the Internet . Bright Fame You don't have any any answers. Your Jesus is a different Jesus your Gospel is a text-heavy rambling which supposes Calvin is correct. "Elect unbeliever is a figment of your imagination". God drew , God had forknowledge but your name was not written in the book of Life until you were reconciled and imputed the righteousness of Christ. Something led you to Calvin teachings but it wasn't a pursuit of Jesus. The Jesus you ended up with isn' t Him. Your exposition makes perfect sense to your fellow Calvinists. It's up to you to submit to the Word. The Word doesn't say begin at God's sovereignty or election just come to Jesus and trust Him . Get to know Him Jesus . Jesus is a person . And He is no respecter of persons.

Christ's Death alone Delivers those He died for !

Many today in organized religion, have attempted to deprive Christ of His Saving Accomplishment through and by His Cross Work for in behalf of all for whom He died [Particular Redemption] because they do deny the Efficaciousness of the Atonement, so that man can receive some praise and Glory for his own Salvation; and they say its the act of the person that finally makes the difference in them being saved or lost, and that Christ's Death in and of itself did not determine that. That is against Christ as it can get !!

However it is Christ's Redemptive Death alone that does determine who is saved or is Lost, for its only by His Death that those He died for are delivered from the bondage, the slavery to sin that we partake of by nature, slavery to the devil. There are scriptures that make that clear Heb 2:14-15

14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Through Christ's Death alone, He has destroyed, rendered in operative, the prince of death and darkness, and the power he had over them. for all He died for.

So it is to be ascribed to His Death alone, that any He died for has been delivered from the satanic domain of death and darkness as Per Col 1:13-14

13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Now here the deliverance is attributed to the Father because it was the Father who gave His Own Son for that deliverance, by which they who He died for receive Redemption [deliverance] and forgiveness of sins Vs 14, and all this is accomplished solely by the Death of Christ, and nothing else, not even what eventually shall happen, a Work of the Spirit in Us and for Us. For the Spirit's Work in Us is complimentary to His Redemptive Accomplishment.259

The Spirit's Work is that which conveys, applies the Healing in which Christ's Stripes Achieved 1 Pet 2:24

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

one should ask themselves when putting forth a teaching, a doctrine: how does this help the hearer? does it, will it, very much.. or not.. ??

why exact, why no token? :)

did you know God is revealing differently to different people?

each as they are able and searching.

not all are searching the same or with as much distance or light.

one will be in the dark in one area perhaps, another so bright in the same but lacking another big piece to the puzzle.

they are not searching a l l w a y s . yet. to search all ways one finds the truth in everything and everywhere.

but at the start there are only pieces - with much missing.

Christ's Death alone Delivers those He died for ! 2

Christ's Death, renders satan's work against all for whom He died ineffective or inoperative, to cause a person or thing to have no further efficiency, to cause to cease, put an end to, do away with, annul, abolish; and because of that he can no longer hold any for whom Christ died under the power of unbelief as he does these 2 Cor 4:3-4

3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

By nature, satan has all men [to include the Elect] in the power and prison of unbelief Rom 11:32

32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

32 God has placed all people into the prison of their own disobedience so that he could be merciful to all people.

So by nature man cannot believe Jn 12:39

39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,

Because the power of satan hath blinded their minds. But if Christ has died for one, then there is a set time when Christ's Work makes satan power inoperative over them, and the Merits of Christ's death gives deliverance from captivity or prison [of unbelief] and sight to their blindness Lk 4:18

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

That's Christ's Death breaking satans stronghold over God's Elect He died for. Christ is that Stronger Man over the strong man Matt 12:29

Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

When becomes a believer its an evidence of the Stronger Man Christ spoiling the goods of the strong man satan !

Christ robs or plunders the Elect soul from satans dominion !

Christ death renders the blindness of mind that causes unbelief, null and void, and so its as Jesus said "recovering of sight to the blind" is effected. The Merits of Christ's Death performs the recovery, and then and only then, does the Gospel become the Power of God unto Salvation for everyone that is believing !

Thats up to Gods purpose on how something proclaimed from scripture will effect the hearers, the one witnessing wants to be concerned about the Glory of God, does that which they testify bring Glory to God. So did you understand the post ?

The scriptures are indeed profitable for correction for reproof for instruction in righteousness. However after listening to and observing Brightfames posts I frankly don’t see him doing much other that sowing false doctrine. He is a Calvinist that is what he believes and submits to as his truth. He lacks the honesty and integrety to address a scripture by scripture dialogue while heaping mounds upon mounds of meaty doctrine on the general audience which includes Babes is Christ. However , I find that he supposes that no one has any idea of what he is talking because of the heady and high-minded expositions which he brings to the table. I find it rather annoying not just because of spiritual pride but His challenges to understand. Personally I have had years of discussions with Calvinists and am quite familiar with their skewing of the Character of Christ and inablility to go one on one with the sayings of Jesus without defaulting back to some theological perspective let’s call it the 5 points of Calvinism . He will invoke the Glory of God. Look at the title of this blog. The Atonement what did it really accomplish ? That should send up some red flags.

Neighbor back in the eighties from North Dakota , you used say. “ Take the Bus”. Kind of a non-toxic way to say F U . If emphatically , it was “Take the Bus, exact change , no tokens.” Hey you asked , and by the way. Here is two of the ways that Calvinists should seek to glorify God. Rather than what they perceive as the most excellent way to Glorify Him. 1 ) Herein is my Father glorified , That ye bear much fruit. “ 2) Whosover offers praise , glorifies me.

What are the objectives and effects of the death of Christ ?

Why was it important for those He shed His blood for ? It provided unto them redemption per Eph 1:7

7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

The word for redemption is:

apolytrōsis and means:

releasing effected by payment of ransom

a) redemption, deliverance

b) liberation procured by the payment of a ransom

The death of Christ procured the Liberation of His people who had been captive by satan and under his power of darkness.

So all them whom Christ redeemed by His blood are recipients in time of the Spirit of Liberty.

2 Cor 3:17

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

It is written of Christ in the OT Isa 61:1

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

also Lk 4:18

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

So, one of the objectives and effects of the death of Christ for His People is their redemption which secure unto them their regeneration, or birth by the Spirit, which gives them Spiritual liberty ! 5

"love your neighbor as yourself". if you were someone else - 'elect' or non (you're not aware of such things - just a seeker of things spiritual or of God or the Bible) -- what would benefit you to hear? that only the elect are saved - or something else that might help you become closer to truth ("i am the way, the truth, and the life")?
