Yes I have not had a good day and I keep praying for my eyes to be healed I keep giving him my faith I have even told him he can have everything I have if I could just have this one miracle just show me one time that your promises are true.
Blain - you are loved. If I get angry at God then that’s a red flag that I’m operating in my flesh…God will NOT give my flesh ANYTHING it asks for.

Totally humility produces thanksgiving…this is how we approach God with Thanksgiving because we humble ourselves and tell our flesh to basically…”shut up!”

I’m starting to see and understand this Christian life as a soldier instead of a civilian….big difference!

Civilians care about what other civilians think and say but, soldiers don’t listen to or care what civilians think or say….they only have ears and attention on their commanding officer….they don’t even pay attention to their own needs….whole different mindset.

Speaking in tongues is a wonderful gift for every Christian soldier to have….

so many times we need to be edified because battles are tough and weaken us but God - Jesus Christ in His great wisdom has given us a “survival” pack on this Earth - His Word and Holy Spirit!

We need to keep taking ground and occupy till He returns and takes possession of this entire planet!(y)

Hello @Evmur

Apart from Christ, none of us are worthy but, IN CHRIST RAWisconsin IS worthy…

Be careful not to harm a broken spirit by saying “you’ll never be worthy.” Make sure they understand everything changes IN CHRIST.(y)

Because I'm a singer many thoughts come to me in songs. I understand what you are trying to say. It reminded me of a lyric from an old Bill Gaither song speaking of the old man to the new. Worthy, through the blood. I totally understood what you meant when you were speaking to the other poster. It was simply encouragement.

All my debts- Cancelled
Satan’s threats- Cancelled
Sin’s effects- Cancelled
For the ransom was paid.

Now I stand- Worthy
Through the lamb- Worthy

As I am- Worthy
I am free praise His name

And thank you for this thread sister, it is refreshing. I can't help but notice the difference in the cessionists threads, the anger, attitude and bitterness. So I do appreciate this thread.

I won't lie I kind of got mad at God today. I have waited I have prayed I have given him my faith I have believed for so long without ever recieving and yet I still can't have just one miracle. I shouldn't have done it but I was so angry that I told him to prove his promises saying to him how obviously I am not able to have a miracle and then said prove me wrong other wise don't tell me to believe and have faith because I have given you everything I can

maybe some people just can't have miracles......
It's really been a two way street for me. Yes on one hand I have seen and been part of some literal mountain-into-the-sea type things. But on the other hand, I've also seen that for every time God intercedes that way, there's 1,000 others He lets drown in the cesspool. Me included. And that makes me mad. Well, made, I'm finally moving on from that period in my life. See I was mad over seeing only one out of a thousand, but I've come to realize that being mad I don't get to see even that one. So if only for the sake of one, I have to do it. Get over my anger and persevere.

You my friend, you will see miracles the likes of which will astound you. They require real faith, which is born of - well, times when you're angry and filled with angst and yet still say You're my God. And yes while you will see your miracle, your ministry will be largely as a conduit towards others receiving theirs.

Brother I was struck with a sickness when I was 16 yrs. old. It's not something most people who know me personally know about. It's something I have kept quiet. It was very difficult through all the years I was in ministry because of this sickness. I have had to stay close to my parents because at times I have to have their help when my husband is at work. I too have prayed, cried, and been "angry" with God. I've had family members treat me as less than because of a sickness I can do nothing about. It's hard to understand, yes, but you know it's so much harder to pray for ourselves? I can pray for complete strangers healing and believe. I pray for friends right in the middle of the grocery store, even if they aren't saved. But believing for myself, I just can't. Do you have friends that are prayer warriors, or those who believe in healing? Ask them to pray through for you. When you deal with an illness for a long period, or one that takes your strength, it's easy to get down and doubt. That's when you need friends that will lift you up. I know many here will. I pray that you will get your miracle and be able to tell your testimony to others. Blessings!!

Perhaps the best way to get your eyes back is to seek after getting that for someone else..? In many ways, there's a Biblical principal in getting back that which you give to others.

I once visited Happy Church of Marilyn Hicky and they wanted to teach me to pray in tongues. They called it priming the pump. The Holy Spirit does not need to be primed.
It just irks me to no end when those with that gift think everyone has to do it.

It's strange that Paul said private tongues are the least of the gifts, yet it's the only one he wished we all would do.

Every other gift goes thru us for the benefit of another, and we are commanded to put others before ourselves so it makes sense the others are more important. Tongues is the only gift that benefits the conduit, that recharges us after a long day of giving. Which is why it is one we all could use.

I tried to copy/paste but kept getting the 100000 words limit and then had to copy/paste half more and repost. No editing, and I have seen this site before so I just copied/pasted.
I believe portions of it because I have mentioned them myself like Polycarp, Ignatius, Iraneaus, Turtullian, John Wesley. The others I need to study more in depth.
I have come across that site before and looked through it as well. I believe that the reason the flags are there is because the author is seeking to distance himself from the so called charismatic chaos. The site in that part is trying to authenticate the baptism and gifts of the Holy Spirit - specifically the gift of tongues - and to do that he needs to signal a separation between false tongues and true tongues. I am not sure he has done that very well - but at least I can see that he has made an attempt that follows a direction broadly held up by concerns that have been expressed in recent years to events in the churches that have been stated to be a false spirit and is usually expressed as a so called Kundalini spirit.

If you want to explore that in more detail outside of the madness of bad research that so often accompanies these claims - then I would encourage you to study the Welsh Revival of 1904/5 associated with Evan Roberts. He fell into a very real distress towards the end of that revival and it was a Mrs Jesse Penn-Lewis who explained to him what was happening in the midst of what was otherwise a singular and effectual work of God at the time. Evan never went back into public ministry again and Mrs Penn-Lewis took Evan into her home in Leicestershire to aid his spiritual and physical recovery. Whilst there they penned War on the Saints together. That book is a far batter source of insight into why there is so much ill effect through false spirits in the churches today than anything else you will read. You need to get the unabridged version because believers are often more determined to prove God by removing the faults of men in favour of the gifts of God by refusing to be truthful when they experience truly appalling spirits in the midst of His people. So there are abridged versions that remove all the real insights and the real reason the book was written.

This link will give you a copy of the original 1912 edition or you can buy a copy online in a simpler format.

Another approach is to drawn on academic sources to address specific elements of the issue.

For example the posts you have made include a reference to the French Prophets. This PhD paper (link below) will give you a far more valuable source to understand the issue of speaking in tongues in context of the chaos that we have seen in recent years in charismatic and pentecostal circles. Of course academic papers need to be held at arms length when it comes to expressly inferring what the character of true and false mean when speaking about the gifts of God and by inference false spirits when speaking about false gifts.

I agree that it is only by the Holy Spirit we can understand God's ways and our direction, But you seem to suggest that speaking in tongues is evident of the Holy Spirit being present and those who do not speak in tongues can not have the understanding you do.
The fact that I do not speak in tongues is evidence to me that my understanding may be greater than yours.
I see what presented and practiced as tongues today as nothing more than fulfilling the needs of the flesh and does nothing to glorify God, nor drew attention too our Lord and Savior.

I do not wish to offend anyone, but to me it is all about pleasing the flesh.
Your (ours) first concern and priority is to not offend God.

Follow His Straight Path and your understanding will increase = Deut 4:1-2 , Proverbs 30:5-6 , Revelation 22:18-19

You cant compare the events in Acts with the church. All these Events happend without that there was a church.
And it is interesting that this "important" issue ( speaking in tongues as visible sign that someone has received the baptism in the Holy Spirit) nowhere is taught in the church. But all for the believers in the past and in the future important issues were taught to the believers in the letters we find in the bible.
Yes i can
I live it.
I love it

Salvation is like body surfing.
Baptism in the Holy Ghost is getting a surfboard.

If I ever did speak in tongues as it appears it can be used to edify the church and yourself I would want it to edify the church. There is nothing more beautiful to me than when God uses me to impact the hearts of others so if I were to speak in tongues I would love nothing more than for it to strenghten encourage and build his church up.

I can stand with you.

Jesus said " i give you the keys to the kingdom."
Then he imparted " whatsoever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven...whatsoever you lose on earth will be losed in heaven"
Then he imparted
" if two on earth shall agree as touching anything , it shall be done"

Wow
Let the wind of that fill your sails and take you a million miles!!!!

I agree with blain for his miracle.
I prophesy it over him.
All provision for him.
Every need met.
Spirit soul and body. Totally healed
Totally delivered.
100% whole and freed from all that does not belong.
I declare his destiny before the throne. Healed, free and whole.

I evict every intruder in Jesus name

Get off him and get out in Jesus mame.
We WILL NOT have it or put up with it.

MOUNTAIN, YOU SAY " I AM NOT MOVING"
NO SIR, YOU ARE MOVING.
YOU WILL MOVE RIGHT NOW.
NO LONGER WILL YOU HARASS OF OPPRESS.
YOU WILL MOVE RIGHT NOW.

Blain.
Do not ask for what is yours.
Do like David and take your authority.
MAKE IT MOVE!!!!
MAKE IT.!!!!
GET TENACIOUS AND RADICAL!!!
USE YOUR AUTHORITY!!!!
MAT 18;18,19

YOU make it happen
