Major doctrinal errors found in Amillennialism.

(these various issues have been presented in threads in various forums by people who believe in Amill. These may or may not be held by every individual of that doctrine)

If any one of these are true, then you can be assured that Amill is faulty and should be rejected as a theological doctrine.

Each person who believes in Amill is a good person with good intent regarding scriptural interpretation but Premill very much disagrees with their doctrine, their way of interpretation, and their exegesis of various scriptures. In this list you will see the biggest problems the Amill doctrine contains.

1. Time no longer theory

Rev_10:6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

The "time will stop existing" theory is based on misunderstanding some translations archaic wording. Here "time no longer" simply means there will no longer be a delay before certain events begin to occur not that time somehow actually stops.

Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Scripture never claims that time ends, in fact the eternity is never ending time with a new fruit on the tree of life every month (30 days of time).

Eph 3:21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

World here is AION which is an age or period of time. Usually it speaks of an everlasting period of time. Here the verse not only uses AION but adds "without end" to make clear that time never ends.

Other translations:

(ASV) and sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created the heaven and the things that are therein, and the earth and the things that are therein, and the sea and the things that are therein, that there shall be delay no longer:

(BBE) And took his oath by him who is living for ever and ever, who made the heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, that there would be no more waiting:

(CEV) He made a promise in the name of God who lives forever and who created heaven, earth, the sea, and every living creature. The angel said, "You won't have to wait any longer.

(Darby) and swore by him that lives to the ages of ages, who created the heaven and the things that are in it, and the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be no longer delay;

(EMTV) and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created the heaven and the things in it, the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, that there should be no more delay;

(ERV) The angel made a promise by the power of the one who lives forever and ever. He is the one who made the skies and all that is in them. He made the earth and all that is in it, and he made the sea and all that is in it. The angel said, "There will be no more waiting!

(ESV) and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there would be no more delay,

(GNB) and took a vow in the name of God, who lives forever and ever, who created heaven, earth, and the sea, and everything in them. The angel said, "There will be no more delay!

(GW) He swore an oath by the one who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and everything in it, the earth and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it. He said, "There will be no more delay.

(ISV) He swore an oath by the one who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and everything in it, the earth and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it: "There will be no more delay.

(LEB) and swore by the one who lives [forever and ever], who created heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, "There will be no more delay!

(TLV) and swore by the One who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, the sea and what is in it, that there would be no more delay.

(TPT) and swore an oath by him who lives for an eternity of eternities, the Creator of heaven and earth and sea and all that is in them: No more delay!

(WEB) and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there will no longer be delay,

(WEBA) and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there will no longer be delay,

(Williams) and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created the heavens and all that they contain, the earth and all that it contains, and the sea and all that it contains, that there should be no more delay,

Barnes:

“time shall be no longer” - means properly, according to Robinson (Lexicon), “yet, still”; implying:
(1) Duration - as spoken of the present time; of the present in allusion to the past, and, with a negative, no more, no longer;
(2) Implying accession, addition, yet, more, further, besides. According to Buttmann, Grammatical section 149, vol. i. p. 430, it means, when alone, “yet still, yet further; and with a negative, no more, no further.” The particle occurs often in the New Testament, as may be seen in the Concordance. It is more frequently rendered “yet” than by any other word (compare Mat_12:46; Mat_17:5; Mat_19:20; Mat_26:47; Mat_27:63; Mar_5:35; Mar_8:17; Mar_12:6; Mar_14:43 - and so in the other Gospels, the Acts , and the Epistles); in all, 50 times. In the Book of Revelation it is only once rendered “yet,” Rev_6:11, but is rendered “more” in Rev_3:12; Rev_7:16; Rev_9:12; Rev_12:8; Rev_18:21-22 (three times), Rev_18:23 (twice); Rev_20:3; Rev_21:1, Rev_21:4 (twice); “longer” in Rev_10:6; “still” in Rev_22:11 (four times). The usage, therefore, will justify the rendering of the word by “yet,” and in connection with the negative, “not yet” - meaning that the thing referred to would not occur immediately, but would be hereafter. In regard to the general meaning, then, of this passage in its connection, we may remark:
(a) That it cannot mean, literally, that there would be time no longer, or that the world would then come to an end absolutely, for the speaker proceeds to disclose events that would occur after that, extending far into tim future Rev_10:11, and the detail that follows Rev. 11 before the sounding of the seventh trumpet is such as to occupy a considerable period, and the seventh trumpet is also yet to sound. No fair construction of the language, therefore, would require us to understand this as meaning that the affairs of the world were then to terminate.

Doctrine saves no one. God does not have a theological entrance exam to heaven. For every genius scholar who believes amillenialism, another genius scholar believes pre or post millenialism. I've read the books. I prefer Corrie Ten Boom's theology. She is a pan-millennial. She reckons that everything will pan out in the end.
What did Paul have to say?
1 Corinthians 2:2
1When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. 2For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

To accept your assertion, we must believe that God is bound by time. That is a lie. Nothing binds God........not even time.

GOD IS!!!!!!

There was never a time when God did not exist, nor will there be a time when He does not.

God created time to govern the Seasons He created, and for mankind. When that last Trump sounds, and Jesus descends to gather Gods children to Him, TIME WILL BE NO MORE!

In heaven, time does not exist. The few passages that refer to "time" in that context are to give mankind some way of understanding what is being said. The most often referred to is:

2 Peter 3:8

“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

King James Version (KJV)

(excerpt)

Peter reminds the believers not to lose heart because God is working on a different timetable. For a human being, if something doesn’t happen within a matter of years, then we may miss it. God, however, is not limited by the same constraints of time because “with the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” Time is simply not an issue with God because He has an unlimited amount of it. If the average person sees something in the store, it would make no difference whether it cost a penny or a dime, even though one is ten times more expensive than the other. If a billionaire wanted to buy a piece of property it might make no difference to him whether it cost $50,000 or $500,000 or even $5,000,000. This is the idea of the verse—both a day and a thousand years are such miniscule amounts of time to God that it really makes no difference to Him.

(here)

What does 2 Peter 3:8 mean when it says a thousand …

GOD IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Omnipresent!

Definition of omnipresent

: present in all places at all times

I do not know about the details of this
Amillennialism.

but I do know that your assertion is wrong if you believe time will continue in Eternity as we know it today. TIME WILL BE NEVERMORE! We will never grow old or die, as is necessary IF time exist.........

Time will always exist but it simply will not have negative affects on us. A new fruit every month proves time will exist.

Major doctrinal errors found in Amillennialism.
The primary error of those who promote Amillenialism is that they blithely dismiss the literal Millennium even though it stares them in the face (Rev 20).

2. Apollyon is released out of the pit?

Some Amill's claim that Apollyon, who is "the angel of the pit", was in the pit with the locusts and was also released with them though the scripture does not state this happened. It is assumed because Amill believes this was the same event in Rev 20 when satan is released from the pit though there are no similarities in the details or timeframes. In the 5th trump the beast and false prophet haven't even risen yet after Satan is realsed in Rev 20 the beast and false prophet have already been defeated and cast into the lake of fire.

3. What does "loosed" mean?

Contradicting the above claim in number 2, some in Amill believe there is no such "releasing" of satan from the pit because at times the Greek word translated as "loosed" can imply "destruction". Amill then sometimes believes satan is not "released" but destroyed which contradicts the idea that satan is Apollyon and that he is literally "released" from imprisonment in Rev 9.

4. The first resurrection? Christ's resurrection?

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Here Amill changes the "first resurrection" from a reference to the first of two groups of the dead being raised back to life in Rev 20 to somehow being a reference to Christ's own resurrection found in the gospels. It is clearly not speaking of Christ's resurrection for many contextual reasons.

We have a share in JESUS' Resurrection. The First Resurrection. The Reborn Kingdom Image.

We were dead and can now hear His Voice ...we can know The Narrow Path of SALVATION:

John 5 sounds like JESUS is doing some type of Judging while we are still physically alive? Could It be the Judgments from Revelation before the Final Judgment?

Two Resurrections

John 5:25-30

[[Resur 1]] Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

[[Resur 2]] Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

--------------------------------------------------

Colossians 2:10-13
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Nope. If people mute someone that means they have zero interest in what that person has to say!

JESUS' Ghost (Image) is the Last Adam in every person that is Reborn, which is The Body of CHRIST. Do you want Represented on His Cross or not?

The Last Adam is the Reborn Kingdom Image Fix. JESUS is the Answer to this test we are in. The Answer to The Garden of Eden.

Our spirit is our perception of reality. Jews couldn't be Reborn like us ...they couldn't be resurrected like us ...they couldn't perceive the test we are in. If GOD Sealed a Jew, they had Faith in The City built without hands and were later resurrected with/after CHRIST.

Romans 6:3-12
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

When GOD "formed" Adam, He was forming Adam's Image to be Holy. Adam was taken from dark/chaotic dust and placed in The Garden.

When Adam fell, his image became corrupted for all of man because Adam represented humankind. We are Adam and Eve when we are a dead spirit (flesh perception) that isn't Reborn to The Holy Image.

Read 1 Corinthians 15:44-49 again. i think it is saying JESUS is the Last Adam ...in us. "The first man Adam" might be you.

  • 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
  • 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
  • 46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
  • 47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.
  • 48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
  • 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

pittjoe,

Your position means there will be [no] Gentile Age. That means if the Second Coming has already taken place, not a single one of us is Saved. By your own definition according to Your Doctrine, the Hebrew/Jews were Chosen of God for over 3,200 years and the Gentiles were Chosen for ONE DAY! During the Reign of Christ on Earth, the [BEHEADED] will be judges. When did this mass worldwide BEHEADING take place?

There are so many holes in Your Doctrine like if Christ is physically Reigning this moment, how come we are not able to see Him bodily and interact with Him in person to person context?

Just who do YOU think You ARE by spreading a False Doctrine on a Christian Website?

You also do not believe in a physical Mark [Mark of the Beast] others can see. But that is not Biblical. The first example we have with a person who is physically Marked with a Curse [which the Mark of the Beast is an Eternal Curse] is CAIN. If Cain's Mark could be seen, so will the Mark of the Beast be seen.

The First Resurrection in Revelation 20 is The Image of The Last Adam. It is The Law being written to our hearts. Get Reborn to this Image to be Covered in JESUS' Blood and be a Child of GOD.

1 Corinthians 15:20-24
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

The key words are in Verse 23 [Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.]

We now wait for the Second Coming!
