Of course I can't redeem myself. Anything that I did was in accordance to the word, by the power of God, and only made possible by the Lord's death and resurrection on the cross. I have a binder that puts scripture to everything I say that God did with me that week.
Like I say, make of it what you want.

I hope that you don't feel that I"m picking on you. Rather, just sharing what I know and yet interested in what you have to say; doing my best to understand. My ears are open to you. :)

I recall Howard saying, "Most Christians are surprised to learn that there is something that they have to do."
My sister's friend went to this ministry and was healed out of her wheelchair by the Lord. Her church said that since God didn't do that anymore, she lied to them about being crippled. Then they threw her out of the church.
You're telling me what you know and I'm telling you what I experienced. I cooperated with the ministry, so if you have a problem, it's with them...and I might add, the Lord. "Sermons From Home," is a series on You Tube by the guy who ran the ministry.
The first videos are teaching found in the Five Days Of Healing seminar that I attended.
I don't know what else to say.

I'm sorry that you're angry.

Take care . . .

You misunderstand...I'm not angry. A little frustrated, perhaps.
Yes, and I know why. It's because faaaar too many people, here, are allowed to belittle, berate and abuse each other and you feel that I'm doing that to you. Believe me; I'm not. I've tried to ask reasonable questions and you haven't been able to answer, which is fine . . . which is why I am willing to walk away without any drama.

Faith healing is a real thing in James. Beyond merely praying for God to heal (which certainly is powerful and efficacious however).

Jas 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
Jas 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

The churches I grew up in - though very Bible-oriented - generally shunned this sort of thing though. One pastor said outright that he never did this, not the anointing with oil part. His attitude was that the faithful prayer was the effective part of the above, not the oil or laying on of hands. But I think modern churches in America want to be "scientific" and "credible" instead of being seen as "superstitious."

I get it. But I think God defies all the neat little boxes we try to fit Him into sometimes. I will say though that there are some charlatans out there who do the faith healing in a flashy public arrogant way or for the wrong motives (money) which makes me wonder a bit about them and where their ability comes from. It almost sounds like the above in James was to be done privately in one's own home if possible.

Sorry, a bit off topic, but somewhat relevant since we are discussing supernatural abilities (to curse, to heal).

Someone could have been generationally cursed, especially if their dad or grandad was into some Freemasonry and/or Occultism. Such things may not have been discussed in the home, and someone didn't know. Some oaths may have been taken, and broken, or ugly things done behind closed doors, and it may have come down on someone's posterity.

Someone may need to be aware of it, and address it in the Church.

Generational curses conclusively came to an end in Ezekiel chapter 18. If we read the entire Bible in a timeline, chronological order, we will find that Ezekiel chapter 18 is an EVENT in time where the Lord changed this approach toward who is responsible for sin.

All should read the Bible in a timeline, chronological order.

You are mistaken.

When David sinned with Uriah's the Hitties wife, and sent Uriah to die, what happened? One day, one son raped his sister. Another son rose up in rebellion. There was discord in David's house. Spirits have a lot to do with thoughts and motivations.

In Ezekiel 18, God through Prophet Ezekiel corrects the false perception that the sins of the father fall upon the son. That they are inherited. The one who sins shall die. Even if someone's dad sinned, the son may choose God and righteousness.

A generational curse may have been......a number of things; however, people who have rejected righteousness, have rejected God, and may have been given over to dishonorable passions. (Romans 1:18-25) A sign of generational curses may be how Secular Humanists, who have rejected Righteousness and God, seem to no longer care about family, family honor, nor having someone to pass on their name. They may have completely rejected honor as a "1950's thing and good riddance." Someone like Saint Patrick was said to have become frusterated by some tribal chiefs rejecting his evangelism, and cursed them. Their sons ended up gay. (Romans 1:18-25) That was a big deal to a tribal chief who needed heirs, and someone to pass on his name and legacy. Secular Humanists embracing gay culture, and hedonism, may be a sign of a generational curse, and their dads or grandads may have done some ugly things.

I stopped right there with the above portion of your post.

Uriah and David appear in the timeline, chronological order of the Bible on day 133.

Ezekiel chapter 18 is day 244.

But of course, everyone, here, is a Chief and no one's an Indian.

Thanks for the correction?

Lets start with "Don't be rude and obnoxious." That is a good place to start. Your insistence on Ezekiel 18 being an event where something changed in how God viewed sin would be incorrect. You didn't show that it was an event. You insisted it was. That is not how conversation works. God corrected False Perceptions. I watched an interesting documentary on the Hittites where they believed that the sins of the father "Were bore" by the son. Given someone's dad was going to the worst place in hell, his son was going as well. The one who sins shall die. The son does not bear the sins of the father. (Ezekiel 18)

Uriah and David show how God works.

David is "He whom I discipline."

  • I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with a rod wielded by men, with floggings inflicted by human hands. (2 Samuel 7:14)
  • Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee. (Deuteronomy 8:5)
  • For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished. (Jeremiah 30:11)

God chastises and rebukes those he loves. (Hebrews 12:6)(Revelations 3:19)

Someone who had a generational curse handed down to them may have been blind to it. They may have been going through depression, oppression, and a number of things, and didn't understand why their life was rough.

You clearly didn't have anything worth communicating. Do you have a "Personal Interpretation" where you have numbered the Bible in days that only you are aware of?
