@CyKovet @stilllearning My dad was on a boomer, the USS John C. Calhoun, for a while. Boat's been decommissioned now, the reactor section was sliced out and put in a ship graveyard somewhere out west I think.

I was neither. I worked on a tender for two years, never made it to sub school. Did lots of repair work on 637's and 688's, though. Never a boomer.
