My laptop cord got crushed under the recliner this week, same day my cellphone was not working. It had been a rough day at work they had put me on a machine that wanted to keep jamming up. But I did not get upset, but gave it all to God. I got my new cord today, so am able to use my laptop again PTL. My debit card came up missing , but was blessed my son found out. Still unsure how it went under my seat in the car  . But didn't freak out or get upset. Years ago would of. I just asked God to help my son and I find it.
The rest of the day will be awesome I know. Going to put my new charcoal table grill together and make grilled bbq chicken and veggies. Love having 3 days off every week.

Virtual keyboard, do you mean it is on your screen? Could you add a real keyboard? Even my recently new(ish) laptop had issues from the get-go. The touch pad would click down and not come back up, which would then freeze the whole keyboard, rendering the laptop completely useless. It began happening the first day I used it at my daughter's place on Christmas day, and continued to get worse over the next month to the point where constant hard resets would not fix it, at which point I sought out a solution online to discover that this has been an ongoing issue with Dell devices for at least eight years. One fix was to use a mouse instead. So now I do that. At first even that was a bit of an problem because I really had very little space to maneuver a mouse. So I taped a birthday card to the right front corner of my device to increase the real estate a tad. It helped by giving me a tiny bit of extra space, plus prevented the mouse from further degrading the laptop's surface.

Then on Good Friday my boss phoned me (after being laid off/retired for more than two years) to ask questions about the machine I had operated for the last 17 years I had been employed there. It had been completely shut down and non-operational since I'd left. I immediately suggested I come in rather than try help my boss set it up over the phone. We had a nice visit with each other as we worked through each problem as it was presented while getting the printing machine back up to being able to function as a scanner. Before I left, he offered me a half inch piece of foam board used for print mounting to act as a table top. It works great!

I hope you are able to find a work-around for your keyboard issues...

I love that cat in the background. You brought a new thing into the house and now the cat is quietly on alert in case the new thing proves hazardous.

I am a little surprised she has not tried to jump onto it

Her cat perch is very close... Everything would go flying if she did :censored:

Not that anyone cares, but in following the intent of this thread...

I am now about to boogie on out of here. Got to hit the post office, gym, Home Depot, supermarket, do some software tutorials and devotional time. Sandwiched in there is a food break.

Thanks Magenta. I'll see what remote keyboards are available for my ipad. Yes, I meant an on-screen keyboard. I've added a couple extra kbds apps to it for variety.

That's an innovative fix to your desk top space issue ☝️

I recommend the iClever. It works well for me, folds up and is quite sturdy.

Never mind, you can't see what I say...

Could some kind soul please recommend the iClever folding bluetooth keyboard to him? (Unless you also have a wireless keyboard that you think works very well and want to recommend that instead.)

Yum, do you send take outs 😋
You've shown examples of good self control in action. Thank you for encouraging that. 👍

My day was pretty docile. Off to see an optometrist about an eye issue mid morning, a bit of lunch then a visit to the toy shop aka hardware store, and back home.
I hope everyone on CC is having a happy day.

My day has been pretty easy going. My move has been delayed by a week as my landlords tested positive for covid o_Oo_O
Went for a walk, the sun was out so it was nice and warm. Other than that packing and cleaning.
I planted seedlings for my next garden in my new place a few days ago. It took them all about two days to sprout and they are growing so fast. I need them to slow down till I get to the next place and can replant them.

Ouch. I guess it could have been worse and they detected or caught it after you had moved in. Do they still require self isolation for close contacts in WA?

What seedlings have you planted?

Thanks! Necessity is the mother of invention. Someone said that :giggle:

I do not know what kbds stands for :geek:

Lynx recommends the iClever. Said,
"It works well for me, folds up and is quite sturdy."

I am relaying that to you because he believes you have him on ignore.

Sorry, I'm being lazy...kbds is sometimes used as a short version of the word keyboards.
