Another great reason why the rapture must be pre-trib. Otherwise, many would deny their faith in Christ and accept the mark of the beast.

I don't believe somebody can inadvertently "lose" thier salvation. I'm just imagining somebody running their pants pockets like "oh, no! Where did my salvation go?".
A lot of the osas people like to say that God will finish what he starts with his believers, but I think that's true only if you let him change you willingly, I don't believe he will force anyone to continue walking with him if they don't want to, and their faith doesn't endure for whatever reason.

With out getting into the million what if just sticking to these . Peter denied Christ three times... The only what if i am thinking about is what if Pete had a heart attack and died a physical death at that time . Could in be God called him home? Could it be damnation. Could Pete's death be be in control of his salvation?

What's to debate? When The Wird pronounced eternal urrevocable security as his free gift through grace? And, sending himself, The Word made flesh as Emmanuel "God with us" ,Jesus, sealed the fact, the truth of The Word's grace in a new covenant for all time and with his blood, that is the life. Eternal life. Through Jesus Christ the (Word) Lord. Amen, and Amen!

John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

John 6:47 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.

John 10:28-29
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

Psalm 37:24 Though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.

John 6:44 No one is able to come to Me unless the Father, the one having sent Me, draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.

Epheisans 2:4 because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved! 6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His grace, demonstrated by His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

8For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.

Yes, a copt & paste. This topic can always run for dozens of pages as we strive to speak and lead readers to the truth. While the words of God Jesus gave his life to seal spoke first. Yet, some doubt those words mean what God said.
That says a lot too.

No, I tend not to believe OSAS. A person can say he is a believer one day, and the next day say he doesn't believe. An OSAS proponent will say oh this person was never a believer to begin with; who are we to judge whether or not he was a believer? That fits perfectly with their position. This person may have genuinely believed. Satan told Eve she can eat the fruit and not die. This I believe could be similar, you can believe/saved forever but you don't have to follow the commandments, etc.

I don't believe in OSAS for one simple reason: We're not saved yet.

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."—1 Corinthians 1:18

I can already hear our KJVO friends jumping in with: "It doesn't "being saved" but "are saved!" This is a very good example why the KJV shouldn't be relied upon exclusively.

So let's discuss the doctrine/issue of so-called Conditional Security vs Eternal Security. Do you believe in Once Saved, Always Saved? I believe Salvation is a Combination of the Grace of Justification+the Grace of Perseverance i.e. Salvation=Justification+Perseverance. So, after Justification, we must pray for perseverance, otherwise we risk being cut off or falling away, as the Bible records that some have done. By God's Grace, we can persevere to the end.

The famous saying of Our Lord is: "But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved." (Mat 24:13)

Three or four passages to start off the discussion below:

1. John 15: "2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit ... 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned."

Seems to be echoed in Romans 11:22: "22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off."

2. Heb 6:4-6:
"4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame."

3. 2 Pet 2:20-22:

"20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire."

These verses very clearly seem to teach that Justification!=(not equal to)Salvation. Initial Justification+Final Perseverance = Full Salvation. Thoughts?

God Bless,
Xavier.
comes down to what we do flyer receovong the Holy Spirit we can live like sinners and lose everything we’re promised for inheritance

Christians lose salvation by rejecting the plain truths like this

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:19-21‬ ‭

That’s not acceptable to some because they can’t get past this

“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:13-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

receovong the Holy Spirit is freely
Offered to us it’s not the end though we have to start bearing fruit for God and stop nearing the fruits of sin when we receive the Holy Spirit we can fall away and be lost

“For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:4-6‬ ‭

“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:26-27‬ ‭

if we don’t respond and bear fruit of the gospel we’re fooling ourselves into thinking this isn’t true

“Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15:3-4, 6-7‬ ‭KJV‬

if we say I believe in Jesus we need to live that out

God calls us to his grace. He's known his Elect before the womb. Our names were written in his book of eternal life before the foundation, creation, of the world.

God believes in us. And no one can take us from his hand. If we fall away there's no other sacrifice for our fall. Because Jesus paid it all eternally. And Omniscience is never, can never, not know all there is about us. Past, present, future, eternally.

We may lose faith but we never ever lose Salvation. We are sealed. To lose it all God wiuld have to revoke and revert it all so that we return to the state of being dead in our sins again .

Nowhere in his words are we told that happens. Eternal Salvation. Not conditional works reprieve.

So let's discuss the doctrine/issue of so-called Conditional Security vs Eternal Security.

Jesus Himself is Eternal Life.
If you have Him in You, then you have Eternal Life.
Without a doubt, Eternal life as "Christ in you the Hope of Glory" is Eternal Security.
Is it "conditional"?
Yes. Its conditioned on you being born again.

"For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end."—Hebrews 3:14

The common OSAS argument is that if a person falls away they were never in Christ to begin with. This verse raises serious questions about that. The writer is saying we will share in Christ if we hold fast to the end our "original confidence." Our original confidence made us partakers with Christ—we were saved or justified in other words. But the implication is that our original confidence can be lost or put aside.

There's only one unforgivable sin...
The real question is, once saved and baptized in the Spirit, is it even possible to reject God.

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory,
forever and ever.

Amen.

Acts 2:39
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

To those who have not received the promise yet, trust (believe) in Jesus, and wait for the promise.
After you have received the promise, you will have the blessed assurance that salvation can not be lost.

1 Corinthians 1:8-9
Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

98. God allows His children to suffer loss of rewards in Heaven rather than exiling them to Hell.
98. God allows His children to suffer loss of rewards in Heaven rather than exiling them to Hell.

1 Corinthians 3:11-15: "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire."

99. God allows His children to suffer shame at His coming rather than exiling them to Hell.

1 John 2:28: "And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming."

100. Because God is greater than our heart.

1 John 3:20: "For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things."

101. God is able to save and keep us.

2 Timothy 1:12: "... I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day."

Jude 1:24: "Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen."[
