I'm not breathing fire on anyone (today). All I can say is that I know no Christian anywhere who has not tripped up
and done things he / she has had to repent of later. Any Christian who says they do not sin anymore, ever, is a liar.

1 John 1:8-10~ If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the Truth is not in us. If we confess our sins,
He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out
to be a liar, and His Word is not in us.

That Job thing kinda stuck out at me too. In fact I think we need to be careful of how we drag anyone from the old testament into something like this. We know that God gave his spirit and took his spirit away. Remember King Saul? Then David asked the lord not to take his spirit away from him. The old testament never made me feel like the holy spirit was for everyone. But in the new testament, it does sound like the holy spirit is for everyone. So in my opinion, if this guy believes that the holy spirit gives us all the ability to completely rid sin of our lives, then He should just stick to people in the new testament to make his points.

I don't think it even says that Job had the holy spirit. All It says is that He was God's servant. And He was a really good man, which is why God allowed Satan to target him. God knew He could make his point to Satan with Job.

I watched a lot of his long videos, and even a debate that i wasn't satisfied with. I give him credit for trying to cover all his bases. And yet, he is sold out on his view! I'm not sure if a guy like this would ever change his mind.

I wish I could be sinless.
If one is seeking Christ read and re-read His Word . Some dude making a buck or 2 is not who you want to listen too or read. Holy Spirit has and always will be for the people of God . Please don't go off reading about Him. Read Him, His Word.

Tell me how it is possible to be unborn again? What aspect of eternal life is not eternal? If no one can pluck us out of Jesus' hand, how can we not go to heaven? That's where Jesus is now.

Even the sinner at Corinth was still saved. Even the unbelievers would not sin as he had.

The problem is that most people do not know what it means to be saved. Neither do many know what believing to salvation means. So many people who supposedly lost salvation were not saved in the first place.

Being born again is to come into a relationship with God. Sin affects fellowship; it does not affect relationship.

Was King David condemned to hell after he committed adultery and murder? His life was far from sinless. Yet Jesus is called "Son of David." Those who imagine that they can lose their salvation are ignorant of God's ways. It's a shame because it diminishes the glory and grace of God and His power to keep us from falling.
I think it comes down to free will. Once we become saved, do we no longer have free will (to change how we act, what we believe, etc.)? I don't think it is consistent to say that once we become saved, we have free will to commit sin, but we don't have free will to change belief. With David, he was remorseful later and still believed. God still punished him severely by taking away his son. But what if David rejected God once God took away his son? A better exampe is King Saul who was God fearing in the beginning and Bible says he had the fruit, but later it is uclear about his salvation since he let his flesh take over.

In the beginning, Saul was filled with the Spirit and prophesied with the other prophets (1 Samuel 10:10–13).

For me re reading and re reading and re reading the word, and praying and praying and praying hasn't helped me much. Which is why i started looking to bible teachers etc to get help. As far as I can tell, I'm not resisting sin enough. Which I think means, that I'm probably predestined for Hell. You see, it seems to me, that first a person must asks Christ to save him, but after that you got maintain your salvation by avoiding the sins listed here:

1 Corinthians 6:9-20

9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men[a] 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

well reading we dont just read his word and forget it. We DO it.

Resisting temptation is one of the things we learn to do with the Word. Eg, when faced with temptation, we remember his Word, and we then dont go there.

Ok. So Im just taking a guess here, you cant keep of the internet and looking at porn? doesnt you tube have porn too? Well did you know you dont have to use the internet to read the bIble? You can read it in a book.

Not just that, being sanctified means you have no desire to go somewhere and be involved in anything you know its dirty or wrong and will affect you.

not just resisting sin but going where Jesus leads you...away from sin

eg. like lots of people, I was roped into going on facebook. Back in the day was invite only. was ok to pass the time and it was fun, good and inoccent.
but then over the years it changed and morphed into something really ugly, with lots of slander and greed..but everyone was on it

Till one day God was like enough. Dont go on it anymore Lanolin. Its not good for you. So I had to obey Him. He was protecting me. I could choose to listen or ignore Him. If I didnt obey it would just be harder lesson for me and I would constantly battle strife and wrong and negativity. If I obeyed I would be free.

I choose to be free. And choose the Goodbook instead

Not just these. They are just examples. To make a point. The point is, do not listen to false teachers tell you that you can keep doing such things and still go to heaven, or inherit the kingdom of God, (or have eternal life, or be saved from the judgment to come, or be saved, same thing)

People who have been born again / regenerated by the Spirit of Christ living in them, do not need a bible teacher to explain that they should no longer be doing these things. They will know this before they even get through reading the bible for themselves the first time. They will know that these things must go by the Spirit of Christ that lives in them.

And that same Spirit will teach them so that when they hear a man say that you can do these things and still go to heaven, even if they are quoting scriptures out of context, the Spirit within the saved believer will tell him not to be deceived by such nonsense.

It's not complicated.

Anyone who is trying to make it complicated could be just pretending to not understand when they really do. Repent or perish. That is simple. But for the one who does not feel ready to quit a favorite sin yet, they will want to talk about it some more.

Not willing to completely turn their backs on faith in Christ they will pretend to be confused and need more teachings about how this whole sanctification thing works. They are not confused. They are procrastinating. Repent or Perish. Have Faith in God.

Sin lies at the door, it wants to master you, but you must master it. Resist the devil submit to God and the devil will flee.

God has made a way of escape for every temptation, believe that and speak the Word.

FAITH. SPEAK FAITH. NOTHING ELSE.

I get the feeling that you assume too many things.

1) I don't use the internet to read the bible. Never have! When I first got the internet, I wasn't forced to use it. Now days even my job forces me to use it.

2) Yes youtube has porn on it. But that depends on what you call porn. Is lingerie porn? Is Bikini''s porn? Is some Nudity porn? If they are porn, then yes youtube has porn on it. And so does your woman magazines. And so does just about any shopping place you go!

Let's read Matthew 5:27-30 again. You will notice that this does not say, If you look at a naked woman, you have committed adultery. It says if you look at any woman. I take it to mean any woman no matter how many clothes she is wearing. No matter what she is doing! It's is all Lust! If I feel any sexual attraction to her, then it is lust!

Matthew 5:27-30

27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

I figure the only way that I could be completely free of Lust, is if I were to have my brains removed and smashed!

There you go.

You're likable when you're not messing with me.

:p

Anyhow, your comment reminded me of this:

James chapter 1

[21] Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
[22] But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
[23] For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
[24] For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
[25] But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

In relation to your problem with lust, I offer you my own exceedingly honest testimony which I gave my first time through here as "Live4Him" in relation to my own porn addiction and the very real deliverance from the same that I received through Christ.

I think you are smart enough to know the difference.

Look away. Problem solved. In time this practice will become a habit and develop into a character.

Oh no, my friend. That is where you are making your biggest mistake. The way of the transgressor is hard. (Prov 13:15) The yoke of Christ is easy.

Faith is the key. Speak faith. You have not tried that yet according to all of the posts of yours that I have seen so far.

Looking away doesn't always work. That only works if you only got one or two attractive women around you. When I was in high school, there were bunches or them. And they all wore low cut tops, and showed as much leg as they could.

I agree with what you said earlier. It really doesn't matter whether you're lusting after a naked woman or a fully-clothed woman. The issue is the lust itself.

Look, I truly, truly feel for you...always have, to be quite frank.

I would simply ask one thing of you...regardless of what any naysayers here or elsewhere might say to you.

Please just ask God if there's a demonic element to your struggle with lust.

He's not going to lie to you.

Please.

There could be, but why I do I need to ask? I always thought there was a demonic oppression in my life, and I even sought help at Church. Went forward and got anointed. Etc. Did it help? NOPE!

I've always been open about my sin problems. The only reason why I hold back on some details is due to how the internet has treated me, in the past. And due to how my former pastor treated my family. I learned that a lot of people aren't trustworthy.
