Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, I guess? I think gotquestions.org's position is that it cannot be done today but if I'm correct when reading Matthew and Mark I guess it seems to me like maybe anyone could do it at any time. I think gotquestions.org's position might be that since Jesus is not on the earth it is not possible to do today (along with other reasons possibly).

Jesus is alive and well :)

The key to forgiveness is repentance. The key to repentance is conviction of sin. It is the Holy Spirit
of God Who convicts of sin. When a person continually rejects this work of the Holy Spirit of God,

they cannot come to a place of repentance for their rebellion against God, and they cannot lay
down their opposition to Him. They reject the grace of God and remain in their sins.

I agree. Got Questions is a Calvinist site. I do use them from time to time for some things but they are also anti-spiritual gifts as well

Matthew 12:32
Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come.

Jesus was talking to the Pharisees

22Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to Jesus, and He healed the man so that he could speak and see. 23The crowds were astounded and asked, “Could this be the Son of David?”

24But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “Only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, does this man drive out demons.”
( the Pharisees attributed the healings and casting out of demons by Jesus as the work of the devil)

25Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? 27And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. 28But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

29Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and steal his possessions, unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.

30He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.

'and then He continues and states:

31Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come.

so rejecting Christ results in God not forgiving sins also, but Jesus speaks specifically about attributing to the devil that which is actually the work of the Holy Spirit

That does actually happen today

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is definitely attributing the work of the Holy Spirit to demonic forced. The question that arises is can this sin be done today. The answer there is whether or not you believe Jesus was only talking about the works the Holy Spirit was doing through Him or the works that the Holy Spirit does through anyone the Spirit is operating through.

I don't know why it wouldn't still be possible. It's blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, not blasphemy against Jesus.

Quick note:. Salvation does not require a feeling, although feelings can accompany a decision to trust Christ as Savior.
The Ethiopian" went on his way rejoicing" when he got saved.
The jailor in Acts 16:30 was ready to kill himself. "What MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?"
"BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved..." was the apostles response.
The issue is BELIEVING, Not crying. It wasn't the crocodile tears that paid for sins. It was the bloody death of Christ the Redeemer.

So, if someone thinks they lost the chance to be saved. I say, don't put it off. It can become too late. Today is the day of salvation.

The understanding of Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, where Jesus is the only person in Scripture mentioned, and many use it to control unlearned Believers.

Fly by night, instant tea pastors on Youtube and on social media better take carte to a word I think is just as serious as one who has Blasphemyed the Holy Spirit. Jesus said :

Luke 17:2

It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

MATTHEW 18:6 NLT SAYS :

But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.

Those who place condemnation on others will have the greater Condemnation. Causing doubt about one's salvation and having new Christians question their salvation That is playing with serious fire. It would be better for those so-called theologians to lEAVE the Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit with the Lord Jesus, who said the power of God's word by the Holy Spirit was done by the devil.

That is it. Is it possible to do it? I think anyone who does this will fully know that they did. And another man will not have the ability to condemn one who has. God is fully capable of doing so. If you think a person has you, better self-exam, flee from that person and leave to the Lord. IF you have to ask, "Have I done this " you have not.

the unforgivable sin today is keeping your heart hardened toward God and rejecting His Son who paid the price for your sins to be forgiven -----if you reject Jesus the Son of God then you reject the trinity altogether and you will find you have committed the unpardonable sin and the gate of Heaven is closed to you -----

When someone's gone, it's too late if they have been trusting their good works or sacraments.

Salvation is for the here and now -----you die once and then judgment comes ----no second chance once your spirit and soul leave the body your in God's hands ----good works won't save you ----God;s Grace won;t save you --God;s love won't save you -----you will reap what you yourself have sown ----and that is without Jesus in you --you have committed the unpardonable sin ---- and are doomed ---

God's grace is for here and now, not for when it's too late.
I agree with all those.
Except...
The translation makes a big difference here.
That one makes salvation sound like works are required. Whereas the KJV is this:

"36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

It sounds like you believe that salvation is by grace, through faith too. Just thought you'd like to know this difference in translation.

This is the truth ---Grace comes through Faith ---but it has to be the right Faith as there are 3 types of Faith described in Scripture ---so the right Faith comes by hearing the Word ----There are also different kinds of Grace and you need Saving Grace that comes through Saving Faith to be saved -----

Faith always requires a positive response -------So through the right Faith we will respond and obey God's command on how to be saved

Grace makes freely available our Salvation ----By Faith we receive into ourselves -----

I say
This is the scripture in different Bibles but they all mean the same thing and your quote from the KJB is no different ----- even though they use different words --- ---so we see that by having the right Faith (belief ) we Obey -----by rejecting we disobey -

John 3:36 Amp Bible
36 He who believes and trusts in the Son and accepts Him [as Savior] has eternal life [that is, already possesses it]; but he who does not believe the Son and chooses to reject Him, [disobeying Him and denying Him as Savior] will not see [eternal] life, but [instead] the wrath of God hangs over him continually.”

Contemporary English Version
Everyone who has faith in the Son has eternal life. But no one who rejects him will ever share in that life, and God will be angry with them forever.

Good News Translation
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will not have life, but will remain under God's punishment.

This is from Strong's Concordance --there is much here on Faith

https://biblehub.com/greek/4102.htm

Faith is always a response to a divine revelation""Faith precedes works, and is not something merely deduced by reason of existing"

Faith requires right action

Neighbour, may I ask, have you recevied the Holy Ghost since you believed? And unto what were you baptized?

negatory good buddy, that's the only thing that saves us.

God's Love sent His Son to die and shed His Blood to save you ----You then have to receive His Son
by Faith ---===His Love gave you chance to reconnect to Him -----God's Love was poured into His Son's mission ---God Loves us with all our baggage but IF YOU don't receive His Son your doomed ---His love alone will NOT save you ====

Through His Love and Grace we were given the availability of Salvation -----only through Faith can we receive Salvation -----

So good luck being saved if your relying on God's Love without Having the right Faith ------your righteous by Faith in Jesus not by God's love -----

Luck has nothing to do with it. Our salvation is by design...including our faith...

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

I personally think you have it backwards ----our Right Faith by design includes our Salvation ----You need to have the right Faith first to be saved ------your salvation comes by your Faith in what Jesus accomplished on the cross ---Without Faith in Jesus you will be lost ------all God's promises which includes Salvation comes through Faith in the one who was sent to pay the price for us -----

Without Faith in Jesus and Having Christ in you -----all things in your end will not work out for your Good -----according to Scripture ---

Many Many preach that God's love will save everybody ----as long as you do good things and treat your neighbour -good --this is False Doctrine -----God;s love will bring His Wrath upon anyone who rejects His Son ------

You go to hell for Rejecting Jesus ----and if one rejects Jesus who is the Son of God then they reject the Father and the Holy Spirit as the 3 are one -----

God's love for His Creation will bring this -----when He is ready to do so --if they refuse to accept His Word---
