I have spent much time gaming. From there I moved to modding, to coding, to reverse engineering, to penetration testing, to web development, to majoring in information systems and security, I have spent time in the past freelancing web development. Used to participate in CTFs and hackthebox PT sandbox. I took networking and service tech classes in high school. I understand x86 and x64 architecture and can read CPU instructions on both archs to debug or RE malware. I have experience with digital forensics, performing acquisitions on live systems for analysis. I can recover all deleted data on hard drives, forensically analyze files for modification or stenography, crack passwords of documents or archives using GPU accelerated brute force. I am proficient in C, C++, and Python. I've mastered PHP, SQL, Javascript, CSS, HTML5. Always more to learn though. I can perform port scans on hosts to assess potential attack vectors and vulnerabilities. I have found real world race condition exploits, buffer overflows, sql injection, XSS (stored), authentication bypasses using cookies, redirect bypass, spoofing user agents, circumventing WAFs, CSRF, and more... I can find hidden directories on web servers, read robot files, version files, etc... I also have in my capability to perform coordinated social engineering exercises and have sales experience. I write my own tools and circumvention, mainly using python or C depending on the attack surface (be it local application or remote application). Python is easier for automating tasks like scanning or fuzzing, also reversing REST APIs. C is better for breaking things.

As per current device, HP laptop 8GB RAM 256 SSD, 8 core.

System is Deepin based on Debian 10

Alternatively, I prefer Fedora OS. Bigger fan of Debian based distros. I use VirtualBox for Windows 10, Debian 9 for development server, and Parrot Home as a virtual live OS when browsing heavily tracking scripted sites.

Note that none of things would impress God, so they're merely useless.
Wow! Your computer resume sounds a lot more impressive than mine. I'm more into abstract thinking (akin of Lisp and descendants) in programming languages, so I don't get into the hardware much, assembly or whatnot (except for what I did in my college classes). But, I like to collaborate with developers that think more like you from time to time. Godspeed.

I have an android smartphone and just spent an hour trying to free up storage as its only runs on 8GB.
It had all this stuff I dont use on it, and I dont download anything, so not sure whats eating up all the memory. But I think Ive gotten it down to 5.61 storage used, so it should be ok now. deleted all the cache and weird apps that came with it and moved all pics to shared drives. Otherwise it kept giving me warning messages, like its gonna choke and die.

I took it to the phone shop and they were like...we cant do anything just buy a new phone. great help huh?!

well its 2020 now and most all of us here have computers or we wouldnt be on this forum.
What do you REALLY think of them?
If there was no computers i would still preach the message, but not at a big scale as i do now. Without computers and interaction i would be bored to say the least. I do not watch much TV and most of the time its repeats.

Howdy lizzie and welcome to the forum.

It's a good idea to not post your email address in an open forum, mostly because spammers/scammers always have automated programs running that look through forums for emails and phone numbers.

*Lynx adjusts his nerd glasses and prepares to effuse about the computers in his life...

Eh, skip it. She can't see what I say anyway. It's a shame though. This is one of my favorite topics.

*Lynx goes off to curl up on his perch and take a cat nap.
Omg I just saw this. :D
Please speak to me in nerd language because I understand you and appreciate you. :D:D:D:D

Tough crowd.
Okay, nobody wants to talk about the devices you use to write here?
Okay, I’ll talk to myself then. (Stomps foot on the floor)

One of the things I’ve been liking about OS deployments during covid, is the vpro technology which has been around for more than a decade, but now it’s more useful.

Let’s say I got a computer down in China. I go in with the vpro and BAM install a new OS like it’s at my house.

Take that Blue Screen of Death !

Okay I feel better now that I’ve said that.

I still prefer system-on-a-stick. Linux Mint on a flash drive makes any computer my computer while it is running from the stick.

These days some smartphones can run a full desktop environment when you connect them to a larger screen. Not just the phone picture on a big screen - you can resize windows and move them around like you were using a real computer.

Now if only they can make a standalone smartwatch that can do desktop mode, I will be content. :geek:

You’re a stand-alone type of guy eh?
Glad to see you here by the way. I wanted to play yesterday and nobody was around.

You know, when it comes to standalone stuff, I’ve done some major geeking around with Erd disks which are build off winpe technology.
All my App Library is in the iso and runs standalone from there and I can troubleshoot any computer.

Now to add more to the geekiness, I’ve included the 32-bit subsystem in the 64-bit winpe, something which even Microsoft doesn’t do.
So now I can run 32Bit standalone apps in the 64 bit iso.

Then to add more geekiness I can use vpro over the LAN to boot off any computer to this ISO

Good heavens, that's a lot more effort than I put into it. I just run Linux mint for a daily driver and puppy Linux for forensics and data retrieval.

Yeah but I’m taking the scenic route man.
I don’t wanna install Windows to-go.
‘I want windows to go to me. And what a beautiful sight along the process. Testing apps, testing drivers, testing monitor resolutions.
Oh the joy

You know what else bothers me?
People in IT pushing buttons.

Oh, what’s this button do? - BOOM
Oh, look at this other button, what’s this one do? - BOOM

What about testing?
