Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

1. Obey the voice of God.

Genesis 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

2. Keep the covenant given to us

Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

3. Obey the commandments of Jesus

Deuteronomy 11:27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day: 28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

Yes we have a new covenant and we are not under the Law, but Moses was a type of Christ and Jesus has also given us commands.

4. The apostle's fellowship

Romans 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

2Thessalonians 3:14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

5. The Gospel

Romans 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

2Thessalonians 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

1Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

6. The Truth

Galatians 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

1Peter 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

psalm 78 and our present experience

Psalm 78:41 And they turned again and tempted God,
And provoked the Holy One of Israel.
42 They remembered not his hand,

Nor the day when he redeemed them from the adversary;

This is a reference to the 9th of Av. Their sin was that they did not remember all the mighty acts of God. Think about all those Christians who today are turning again and tempting God and provoking the Holy One of Israel in dismissing talk of the rapture. What is their sin, they are not remembering his hand, nor are they remembering the day that we were redeemed, the day of resurrection from the grave.

43 How he set his signs in Egypt,
And his wonders in the field of Zoan,
44 And turned their rivers into blood,
And their streams, so that they could not drink.
45 He sent among them swarms of flies, which devoured them;
And frogs, which destroyed them.
46 He gave also their increase unto the caterpillar,
And their labor unto the locust.
47 He destroyed their vines with hail,
And their sycomore-trees with frost.
48 He gave over their cattle also to the hail,
And their flocks to hot thunderbolts.
49 He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger,
Wrath, and indignation, and trouble,

A band of angels of evil.

Open your eyes and you can see these signs all over the globe, the plagues, the pestilence, the hail, the band of angels of evil. The caterpillar and locust eating up your labor.

50 He made a path for his anger;
He spared not their soul from death,
But gave their life over to the pestilence,
51 And smote all the first-born in Egypt,

The chief of their strength in the tents of Ham.

There is evidence that this vaccine is not designed to protect you from Covid but rather to give you a genetic disease which will sterilize you. Not only so but they are not sparing anyone, everyone is being mandated to take it. I saw a wonderful video at a gathering of Doctors where they went through slides taken of organ tissues of those who have received this vaccine showing the damage that is done by the vaccine to the Body, the doctor's conclusion was that the vaccine is the disease.

52 But he led forth his own people like sheep,
And guided them in the wilderness like a flock.
53 And he led them safely, so that they feared not;
But the sea overwhelmed their enemies.
54 And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary,

To this mountain, which his right hand had gotten.

He brought them to Sinai but we are told in Hebrews that we don't come to Sinai rather we come to Mount Zion. This is a reference to the wedding and the rapture.

55 He drove out the nations also before them,
And allotted them for an inheritance by line,

And made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.

We are looking at a victory here.

56 Yet they tempted and rebelled against the Most High God,
And kept not his testimonies;
57 But turned back, and dealt treacherously like their fathers:

They were turned aside like a deceitful bow.

This is the falling away. We see this today, you shoot an arrow and for some reason the bow causes the arrow to turn aside. We have politicians who we are calling on to do a forensic audit and for some reason they keep turning aside like a deceitful bow.

58 For they provoked him to anger with their high places,
And moved him to jealousy with their graven images.

We saw this when the Zeal of thy house ate up the Lord and He turned the tables on the money changers. This is a reference to His "shaking the powers of heaven". In John we see that the temple has been infested with idol worship and they turned His father's house into a house of merchandise.

59 When God heard this, he was wroth,
And greatly abhorred Israel;
60 So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh,
The tent which he placed among men;
61 And delivered his strength into captivity,
And his glory into the adversary’s hand.
62 He gave his people over also unto the sword,
And was wroth with his inheritance.
63 Fire devoured their young men;
And their virgins had no marriage-song.
64 Their priests fell by the sword;

And their widows made no lamentation.

This sounds very much like the tribulation. It sounds a whole lot like one of Dana Coverstone's dreams and many of the prophecies on the Prophecy club.

65 Then the Lord awaked as one out of sleep,
Like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine.
66 And he smote his adversaries backward:

He put them to a perpetual reproach.

This looks like the second rapture.

67 Moreover he refused the tent of Joseph,
And chose not the tribe of Ephraim,
68 But chose the tribe of Judah,

The mount Zion which he loved.

According to Hebrews we have come to Mount Zion.

69 And he built his sanctuary like the heights,
Like the earth which he hath established for ever.

This sounds like what the Lord said "I will raise it up on the third day" referring to the Temple.

70 He chose David also his servant,
And took him from the sheepfolds:
71 From following the ewes that have their young he brought him,
To be the shepherd of Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance.
72 So he was their shepherd according to the integrity of his heart,

And guided them by the skilfulness of his hands.

More on "destroy this Temple and in three days I will raise it up"

John 2:18 The Jews therefore answered and said unto him, What sign showest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things? 19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 20 The Jews therefore said, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou raise it up in three days? 21 But he spake of the temple of his body. 22 When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he spake this; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

The age of grace began with the Satanic kingdom of darkness destroying the temple of Jesus body. That death and resurrection was a sign that He would destroy the kingdom of darkness. The context of John 2 is Jesus going into the temple and overturning the tables of the moneychangers.

2Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

I think it is interesting that prior to the rapture there must be a falling away and the man of sin is revealed. Prior to the Lord's crucifixion there was a falling away and Judas was revealed. During the 9th of Av throughout history there has been a falling away and the man of sin has been revealed whether we are talking about the ten spies with an evil report or Hitler, or whoever. As bad as the 9th of AV was it revealed who was approved, Caleb and Joshua were revealed, Schindler was revealed, Esther and Mordecai were revealed, the Maccabees were revealed, etc. Today we have seen this agreement that the Pope has made with the globalists and with Chrislam. This is an essential prerequisite to the rapture that the men of sin be revealed.

1 Thessalonians 4:17
- Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

We shall be "caught up" as a reference to the rapture and in John the Lord says "I will raise it up". The rapture will be a sign prior to the judgement on the world that will demonstrate that the judgement the Bible proclaims on the world has been determined by God.

Revelation 3:10 - Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

The 9th of Av is called a day of weeping. Hanukkah is about "the hour of temptation that shall come upon all the earth", Esther was about that, the Holocaust was about that. The hour of temptation means you will be tempted to take the mark of the beast. Think about Germans were tempted to join the Gestapo. Germans were tempted to rat out Jews and loot their homes.

26 And Jehovah spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, 27 How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, that murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me. 28 Say unto them, As I live, saith Jehovah, surely as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: 29 your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, that have murmured against me, 30 surely ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware that I would make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

There seems to be a close comparison between Revelation 3:10 and Numbers 1:26-30. Those that were faithful and kept the Lord's word are kept out of the hour of trial and in Numbers Joshua and Caleb were faithful and kept the Lord's word and so they are kept out of the wilderness, everyone else will perish there, but those two get to enter in.

1 Thessalonians 5:9
- For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

This also is something we can see in the story of the 9th of Av. This is the point that Joshua and Caleb are trying to make, we aren't appointed to wrath, the Lord will make a way for us to obtain salvation, just be faithful, trust Him.

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

So the picture is of a woman who is 9 months pregnant. For months she has struggled as the baby has grown bigger and bigger, kicking and moving about. She has trouble sleeping, she has problems with her bladder, she has trouble with her clothes. My point is we take this "they say peace and security and then sudden destruction" as though they are clueless that they are 9 months pregnant and about to have a baby. That is not what Paul is saying. He is saying this event has been growing day by day, you see the signs, you know the day is approaching and still everything seems fine, you are in bed trying to sleep when wham, here comes the baby!

This is what we are seeing today. We can see all the signs, all the drumbeats of war, the drumbeats of imminent famine, economic collapse and additional pandemics. But at the same time even though things are a little uncomfortable with inflation and it is hard to sleep with all the MSM and their race baiting and fear mongering, still we are going about our business as usual at the moment. But in a moment that will change.

6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

Love this. We have Christians who are not watching, and we have all kinds of people who are not acting sober. Many of the people seem to have lost their mind.

7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

The people who are asleep or who are drunk are in darkness. If you are walking in the light there should be a very clear distinction between them and you.

Hebrews 11 -- Do not be deceived

Many Christians are afflicted with the Rodney King syndrome, "Can we all just get along". It is based on a lack of knowledge and as Hosea said "My people perish because of a lack of knowledge".

1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

We are hoping to be raptured in the first rapture, or as the Jewish custom is, we are hoping that our names would be written in the book of life. If you want some confidence and assurance about this you need to pray for faith. Remember, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

2 This is what the ancients were commended for.

This is where the deception comes in. The ancients were not commended for being popular, for not causing waves, for "getting along", they were commended for faith. This chapter will make it very clear that faith is definitely not "getting along" and not "not causing waves". Speech is currently being monitored, "corrected" and censored. If you bow to that it is wholly contrary to what we see in Hebrews 11. Sometimes it is absolutely stunning what some people will say and do. The arrogance and gall is incredible. But no one is commended for that and ten years later they are exposed as liars and frauds, and no one cares. But people with faith, people like Abraham, Paul, Peter, and Jesus, we remember their words thousands of years later.

3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

Great example of something that you are not allowed to say and that has been censored, ridiculed, mocked, and "corrected". This is a very important and fundamental lesson in science. We could not figure out the mysteries of the universe until we were able to see the things that are unseen. No one can explain what an electron is. I teach Chemistry and my students are surprised when I tell them I don’t know what an electron is. I then tell them what we know and then they too will answer when I ask what is an electron: “I don’t know”. However, even though that is true we can do amazing chemistry and make all kinds of substances because we understand that the electrons are critical in telling us how they will all fit together. Every day scientists make things that you can see out of things you can’t. If we do this in a shadow, then surely the reality is that God has made what is visible out of what is not visible.

4 By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.

Think about that, how powerful is faith. If your words have faith they don’t die just because you do. Today, thousands of years later, we have people all over the globe examining the words of the apostles and prophets and discovering new things every day. Abel was not "popular" because his offering was better, on the contrary it stirred up jealousy and envy. However, it propelled human civilization forward. It was a major step forward in the full transition from hunter gatherer to the agricultural society. Archaeologists will tell you that raising domesticated animals was a major development in human society, read "Guns, Germs and Steel". Horses were our tanks and transportation, Oxen were the animals that helped us transform the landscape, mules and donkeys were critical in helping us mine ore, all of the diseases in our herd animals actually protected the herders (which is why the Native Americans all died when we arrived in America).

5 By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.

Enoch is an excellent example. He is a man of faith, he was a type of those who were raptured, and his prophecy is commended as being divinely inspired by many of the New Testament writers. His words still live today. Enoch pleased God it doesn't say he pleased man. Paul even tells us that if he were still pleasing man he wouldn't be pleasing God. There is nothing that would suggest that either Abel or Enoch pleased men. What do we know about Enoch, "he walked with God". Sounds like a loner. Think about these two, the first martyr and the first one raptured while still alive. This is a picture of those who will be raised at the end of the age.

6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

What does the Lord say about those who have their reward in this life and won't be rewarded by God? They do everything publicly to be seen of men. They are actors, performers, entertainers (hypocrites). If you hope to be raptured then surely you must please God and without faith that is impossible. There are three things you must believe in order to come to God. You have to believe that He exists and He rewards those who seek Him. Finally, you have to believe the Lord’s word that no one comes unto the Father but by the Lord Jesus. This is in direct contradiction to those who are pushing this one world religion. In order to get the Muslims and Buddhists and Hindus and all the rest they eliminate the need to believe in Jesus.

7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.

The very term “salvation” implies there is something to be saved from which is a sinful world. The act of receiving the gospel and obeying the Lord’s commands condemns the world. You aren’t trying to condemn anyone, but they are condemned for refusing to receive the warning. That implies they have heard the same warning as you and rejected it. So you can see how all of humanity is split by this one matter of faith. Some receive the warning by faith, others reject the warning because they are faithless. The rapture is about taking those that please the Lord, those who have faith, received the warning and obeyed the Lord’s commands.

This is where the deception is really obvious. People think that the reason we preach the gospel is so that people will get saved. The problem with that is what happens if people reject the gospel, does that mean you are a failure? Noah preached the gospel for decades, maybe more than 100 years, and yet how many received his word, how many were saved? Just eight people counting himself. Here in Hebrews 11 Noah is not listed here because he had a prevailing gospel ministry where thousands came to the Lord. No, it says "by his faith he condemned the world", that is why he is listed here. Do you think Noah was popular with the world? Anyone like to be condemned? The bible says that Noah "was a preacher of righteousness". It isn't a popular topic with man, only with God.

If you think that the goal of the gospel is to get people saved then the guy with the "Mega church" and ten thousand attendees is the one to imitate and follow. As long as you are thinking that way you will never follow or imitate Noah. I can list 5 mega church pastors who had "prevailing gospel ministries" and who also were involved in trafficking children in pedophile rings. Do you think anyone who was involved in trafficking children in pedophile rings is going to be pleasing to God? Do not be deceived, how many of these televangelists put up numbers as proof that they are men of faith only for us later to learn that they cheat on their taxes, commit fornication, or even worse, are involved in Satanism?

Interesting question that Stan raises.

Russia has been fighting in Ukraine for 8 months and still has not taken it over. Yet the Great Babylon is called the great city of the earth, obviously not in Ukraine and according to Revelation her destruction comes in 1 hour and the kings of the earth stand afar off watching the smoke of her burning and in fear of her torment. That is obviously a nuclear bomb.

This cannot possibly refer to the Vatican, though it might be the mystery of the Great Babylon, the wizard behind the curtain.

No we are talking about a great city, the biggest consumer on earth, the one where all the merchants sell stuff too. It has to be the US and it has to be destroyed by a nuclear bomb. NYC, Washington DC, LA, Chicago, Houston, etc. It is interesting that it refers not to the US as a whole but to the great city of the US in particular. If you go to rural America they are not buying into this woke stuff being sold by lawyers, corporate America, MSM and Hollywood. Ever since Jezebel, I mean Hillary, called half the country deplorable it has become very clear that the country is divided in half between the wheat and the tares.

wow, what an interesting angle

Revelation 18:11 and the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise anymore.

Suppose we have an emp that knocks out all electricity and telecommunications in the US. At that point no one can use Amazon.com anymore! No one can buy over the internet anymore! No one can use a debit card or credit card anymore! No more direct deposit!

So yes, if the ports are wiped out no one will be importing for awhile. But in a single hour all sales could come to a screeching halt!

Another interesting angle

Revelation 18:15 "Alas, alas that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple and scarlet, and decked with gold, precious stones, and pearls!

I grew up in a wealthy suburb of NYC and went to the Episcopalian church. I was a choir boy and this is how everyone in the church dressed. The priests wore purple and scarlet, the choir wore special robes, and everyone in the congregation wore fine linen, and the women were decked out in gold, precious stones and pearls.

However, I have been to churches where this is not the case.

This is an accurate description of how the wealthy in the great cities worship.

Matthew 18:9 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

This verse is spoken to believers. No unbeliever who does not bow the knee to Jesus as Lord would "pluck out their eye" nor would they enter into life even if they did.

Matthew 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. 16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

A heathen man is not saved. This is clearly referring to a "brother" who is in the church and would/should recognize the authority in the church, which of course is the Lord Jesus the incarnated word of God. This verse is an explanation of verse 9 where he talks about you being cast into the lake of fire. But it is the other side of the coin. The church needs to pluck this brother out and cast him from thee lest he cause the entire church to be cast into the lake of fire (ie the apostasy and false prophets like Balaam and prophetesses like Jezebel).
