Oprah Winfrey, among a number of others, has been one for years.
Sounds like we cannot "serve" two masters, God and money, didn't say we can't "have" God and money, it is all His to the believer.

That's true, and look at what kind of devil she is too. I know you're just stating that fact and not promoting her at all.
A lot of people don't know this, but she's promoted her brand of new age witchcraft for decades and their gurus. I watched an Oprah interview on Steven Cober show that mocked God so badly I won't even post it.

There used to be a woman at a church I once went to and she was married to this guy. He had the most kindest face with beautiful eyes and was very calm and polite. It turns out that behind the scenes he would regularly bash her. We were all so shocked because in demeanor and behavior in public he was quite the opposite. Only God sees the heart so it is so very important to get his approval for any potential partner you may come across.

a lot of famous people are into new age and want to be their own gurus. Elvis was into yoga although he sang gospel too. His wife left him. Not because he wa a billionaire..it was because he was into drugs and other women.

An aside about Oprah, she promoted this "John of god" false prophet. I don't want to beat a dead horse, but this just occurred to me, so in case anyone is interested. I think these billionaires like Gates, Oprah and Musk are so dangerous, because they influence so many people in the way they use that wealth. If it was for God and not evil, we'd have no problem with that of course. However, they are large contributors to the enemy army that we battle. Ephesians chapter 6.

Oprah had a magazine named after herself, and I rememeber her talk shows were always about people having makeovers and she was always giveing away free shoes or something. My sister would watch talk shows religiously in the school holidays. It was Oprah, then. Sally Jessy, then Donahue.
I always thought they were the most boring shows ever lol. Ellen carried on the genre.
I think people (mostly women) would be in the studio audience just so they could score some free shoes. I guess she made a heap of money though, and wanted to give it away. A lot of extremley wealthy people practise that kind of philanthropy where they literally throw money around. I guess its burning a hole in their pocket! Often they dont really check out what things they buy with huge amounts at their disposal and whether its actually ethical!
They could probably buy up a developing country. Andrew Carnegie funded public libraries. Its probably the best thing anyone did. Oprah just has a book club, but she doest give away books.Dolly Parton does.
If you were Elvis friend, he'd give you a cadillac. Though I think it was his manager who profited from him the most. All he wanted was to record a song for his mother, but when she died, I dont think he ever got over it. It was sad that he didnt stay sober enough or in good health so he could look after his daughter. Lisa Marie may be a wealthy heiress, but she missed out on having a real dad.
