Of course you are on track Cameron, His gifts are from Him.
He was clear that most in these days would have an outward form of Godliness denying the power, only those genuinely "in Him" would do the greater works than He.
Many of us are seeing these "Greater works" today.
best wishes friend.
Cameron has not even answered the question I am asking? What is he on track with?

I know what the anointing and the gifts are as well as anyone else does and I take exception to you following me around and either xing or putting sad face on what I post. Are you not capable of intelligent conversation or do you just prefer judging someone as you are doing with me, by whether or not they agree with your apparent ability to decide who is and who is not a believer?

What greater works are you seeing?

FYI, I speak in tongues, have several gifts and prefer discernment over populace opinions.

You have sidetracked this thread and are decidedly not using the discernment you should have other than to attempt to discredit someone you do not know and trying to make it seem I am anti-spiritual gifts or what have you

You did this to me once before, after telling me I was so spiritual ... (under another account I had) then I had the nerve to disagree with something you wrote and you began following me and putting your x or sad face on everything and anything I posted in any thread. This is harassment and as a Christian as you say you are, I would think you would have some dignity and not resort to childish actions.

You really need to stop it.

I understand what anointing means...thanks. I am actually wondering what people think of the word being used for political candidates as per the article I quoted.

In other words, what do you (general population here and not anyone in particular) think of this? Is this a movement from God or is it a movement from the religious right who believe they are creating prophetic utterances (not taking into account the failures and yes there are many such as the prophecy that Trump would have a 2nd term....the failure of this to occur, has been brushed aside by these prophets saying he will have a 2nd term but just not right after the 1st one)

Hope I cleared up what I am really wondering about? I do have my own belief about it all, but just wondering how others perceive this trend

thanks
Sorry if I didn't get the gist of your post initially. On matters like this I generally follow the advice of Gamaliel in Acts 5. We'll know by what happens.

I don't think anything about it, I ignore stuff like that. If you think that is a reason for Christians to vote for a candidate then Satan will use that, if you think it is a false prophet and a reason not to vote for someone then Satan will use that. I never saw David running around saying that he was the anointed of God.

If you are anointed by God then you don't need my help to kill the giant and become king.

That's fine. no one has to answer anything, but you did say something. as for shittim, he does not understand the question

I prefer to consult scripture and get my answers from there.

Yes I didn't vote for Trump in either election but part of the key to his appeal was that he was a pushback against the wokeness of the left.
But on the other hand some people will call Democrats perverts etc while voting for a pervert who bragged about grabbing women's genitals and bragged about how "hot" his own daughter is
So the more insane Teumpistan gets, the more it fuels the wilderness of the left

while I do literally also ignore it...it is NOT from the Holy Spirit...just some movement by the religious right zealots...my concern is for those who think it is God and follow the initiative to consult extra biblical sources and then become belligerent and see anyone who disagrees with them as an enemy...for that example, consult shittims posts

I am not from the US and I am honestly kind of somewhat taken aback by how religion (and it IS religion and not faith in God) is intertwined with politics here.

God does not anoint this type of nonsense and the outcome of these elections comes down to deceived people voting or cheating in clever ways on the behalf of the left

true the devil will use whatever...my intention was to just discuss it...not create a poo storm. seems I touched the anointed deception and how dare I do that

I find some Americans pretty defensive over things that should not really make a difference ... but it seems plenty have very big toes that stick out and get stepped on

I am not trying to persuade anyone of anything....however that seems to be the direction it has been taken and that simply means a lack of comprehension by some

FYI, I don't believe any politician is anointed by God to change this country. I believe decisions can be made in prayer, but we do not have so called real prophets running around commanding God to do whatever.

It seems quite hard to just have a civil discussion in this forum with being able to agree or disagree....while the same people who do that, often bemoan the fact that no civil discussion occurs because no one agrees with them

whatever I guess

true

some of the things said by Trump would make a person ashamed to have voted for him IMO...but still those who think he is 'god's gift' continue and forgive all of what he does

see, this is why I do not believe he is a Christian...if anything, he is worse and getting worse the more his desires are thwarted

anyway, I simply was hoping for thoughts on the article I posted...I only found out about this today

but as usual here, some people are insulted that you are not a clone of their own beliefs

I am starting to see that. I never knew much about Trump to begin with...seeing as I am not from the US...although I am married to an American, who, thankfully, is not embedded in the Trump camp. He has voted for Trump but as you say, as a reaction to the crazy shenanigans from lefties. We do not see eye to eye on everything and that is to be expected because I am not that defensive about what I believe but he is. Although, he has certainly changed in how he views Trump...but he would never for a Democrat for more than one reason...but aren't quite a few people who have lived, say in the latter half of the last century, saying that the Democrat party of today is not your parents Democrat party?

I've even heard that Obama himself would not fit in with the party in its current form

guess I'm just thinking 'out loud' and still kind of surprised at the unwillingness to even discuss these 'prophet types' and their seeming desire to change elections by saying 'God said'. ps...I don't think God said anything except 'why are you putting words in my mouth?'

How do you know it is from religious right zealots? These things get printed, then the Left jumps on this. How do you know it wasn't simply one of many dirty tricks used in Politics. If Donald Trump comes out publicly and says that he is anointed of God, then yes, I'll take that seriously and won't touch him with a ten foot pole. If Donald Trump's campaign runs an ad saying they endorse this message where their are religious people saying he is anointed of God then yes, I'll take that seriously. Otherwise, I simply put it on ignore.

I do not limit God on what He does and doesn't do. I do know the Bible is very clear he raises up kings and he removes them. He was involved in Nebuchadnezzar, He was involved in Pharaoh, I have no issue with anyone who says Trump was elected because of God's sovereignty as long as they also say that Biden was elected because of God's sovereignty and Obama was and Clinton was.

what are 'these things'? if you would actually believe that Trump is 'anointed' then I fear for your discernment.

by saying you do not limit God, does that somehow make you infallible? that is a remark that indicates a rather passive approach to world events IMO.

"These things"
refers to political smear campaign, I am a conservative and a Christians and the only ones I hear this garbage from are liberals and leftists. Anyone can say anything. The point is if he does not specifically endorse it, then I ignore it. Only if he does endorse it will I take it seriously and use it to decide whether or not to vote for a candidate.

I do not care what flavor of political affiliation you are. That is of no consequence except possibly to you and none are exactly invested in God like some like to pretend they are. When the actual 'prophets' words do not come true, they are not prophets. Since Trump is not a Christian, if he claims to be 'anointed', I would say he has a lying spirit he needs to take care of.

Paula White is one of Trump's...or was possibility....so called spiritual advisors. She has made the list of America's False Prophets. She is on that list, because her (cough cough) prophecies do not come true. Good thing we no longer stone these folks which, has predictably, made false prophets bold. She is Trump's...or again, possibly was...favorite 'Christian' advisors because she has told him how special he is, that God has chosen him, he is anointed and that should make any discerning person a little sick to their stomach.

If you cannot tell (generic you here) what is and what is not of God, then you are in danger of falling into deception. I have not once said what God does or does not do. Sad attempt, on your part, to discredit my actual post

However, and this we can find in the Bible, God does not bless false prophets and He will also not step in the way of people who seem to prefer dramatic sounding false words from those who make believe they hear from God. You can read about itching ears who respond to their lies and you can read about false prophets in scripture and how God views them

I had you on ignore but was wondering who else was responding on the thread. As that is the case, I will simply refrain from believing you might be up for a normal discussion without introducing your beliefs...which is the reason I had you on ignore...some of which you have reminded me of in your opinions

I could not care less about your opinions in conjunction with your strange conspiracy beliefs

These are the end times for the presidency of Donald Trump and the White House role for his spiritual advisor, Paula White. Their futures are bound together and both have made clear that they will fight to the end, and maybe beyond. During the second night of a post-election prayer marathon White’s son, Pastor Brad Knight thanked God, perhaps prematurely, for “securing her position for the next four years. And therefore the position of your people, the voice of your people.”

During the nightly prayer broadcast, Paula White and fellow prayer warriors called on God to smite the president’s enemies—his political opponents, anyone standing in the way of a second term, and anyone interfering with their vision of national and global dominion.

The first night generated so much press coverage following the release of clips by Right Wing Watch (and mocking memes that trended on Twitter) that Paula White Ministries took down the video. But because of this, they knew that the whole world would be watching on the second night of their Pray for the Nation broadcasts.

On the first night, White and members of her staff, notably Pastor Todd Lamphere, and her son, Pastor Brad Knight, engaged in imprecatory prayer against the “demonic confederacies” they believe were arrayed against them, and against Trump’s reelection. Peter Montgomery reported that Knight, who casts himself as a “warrior” in the mold of the biblical king David, and holding earthly authority due to his “apostolic mantle,” prayed for God to act—while blurring the person of Jesus and Donald Trump in his prayers.

Right now, everything in opposition to that must fall. Everything in opposition to Paula White-Cain must fall. Everything in opposition to Bradley Knight must fall. Everything in opposition to this house and the people in it must fall. And God, we standing here [sic] knowing that it will also speak against that which has risen up against America. And that everything that has come in opposition to the man that you have chosen, the man that you have elected, the man that your hand is behind, the man that you’re pleased with, the man that you pulled out of the midst of darkness and elevated, the man who made a mockery of the things of this world. And will do it again. God, we call you out now, and nothing against him shall prosper. Nothing that rises against him shall succeed.
Paula White claimed that “demonic” elements are seeking to “hijack the will of God, to hijack what God has already established in the Earth.” She asked God to “take vengeance.” source for the above and more of the above

ah yes...the old 'God take vengeance' thingy.

of concern....certainly my concern anyway:

“Some of the ‘spiritual warfare’ enthusiasts are dangerously ramping-up their rhetoric beyond the usual hyper-spiritualized form of ‘spiritual warfare’ language as found in Ephesians 6:12,” Dr. André Gagné, a Professor of Theological Studies at Concordia University in Montreal told RD. “It is concerning in part because they claim that God speaks and acts through them when they speak prophetically to the Church like this.”

So I guess I didn't make your ignore list?

Let me get this straight, you want to lecture Americans on who is and is not of God in our Presidential elections?

OK --

Was Hillary Clinton of God?

How about Joe Biden with his devil speech in which half of America is evil?

What about Obama and his "wife" michael?

What about George Bush, a member of Skull and Bones club?

But why should we just get to trash American leaders.

Trudeau is as bad as any leader I have ever seen in the "free world".

Though if you gave Liz Truss more than two weeks she might have given Trudeau a run for his money.

Of course she would always have to stand in the shadow of the great Boris Johnson.

Putin and Xi are as bad as any dictators I have ever seen.

Since you are not American perhaps you don't realize people had 2 legitimate choices to vote for. Yes they could write in a thousand different names but in 2016 it was either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. In 2020 it was either Donald Trump or Joe Biden. Therefore it is assumed that when you condemn people who voted for Trump as being "anti Christian" then you are implying that either Clinton or Biden was the "Christian" thing to do.

This is why you sound like a clown.

A little more on White following. I would like to make the point that I am the one that began the thread and I am not being persuaded by anyone but myself in what I am posting. I do have a couple of members on ignore as they are disruptive and have no interest in discussing, but seem to prefer changing what I post by inserting red herrings. There will be no further responses from myself to either of them in this or any other thread. I am so beyond how some in this forum will do their best to engage you in an argument, calling names or telling you that you are not a Christian or various other immature and narcissistic tactics. I no longer choose to engage. It never changes anyway. (shrugs)

White was one of a small group of evangelical leaders who backed Trump at a time when most others had lined up with Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) or Marco Rubio (R-FL). White, Kenneth Copeland and Robert Jeffress were part of this group that met with the future president at Trump Tower in 2015. During the 2016 presidential campaign Trump credited White with his conversion and becoming a “baby Christian.” She went on to deliver the invocation at his inauguration and to become chair of Trump’s White House evangelical advisory board.

Meanwhile, White’s church was rebranded in May 2019 as City of Destiny in Apopka, Florida. At that time, White conferred the titles of Senior Co-Pastors on Brad Knight, her son from her first marriage, and his wife Rachel. She remained “Apostolic Overseer,” as she had been for years, and said she was going to plant 3,000 churches and start a university.

Six months later, White joined the White House staff to lead the “Faith & Opportunity Initiative,” and also launched the One Voice Prayer Movement. This campaign included Todd Lamphere, (who serves as Pastor of Global Outreach for Paula White Ministries and as her “Chief of Staff”), as well as top Dominionist leaders of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), such as James Goll, Cindy Jacobs, Lou Engle and Dutch Sheets. This operation coordinated the activities of evangelical supporters of the president.

“You have to execute the will of God on earth—because God legally gave man dominion. When he said ‘let man have dominion’—he transferred it over.”

“It is illegal for God to do anything on the Earth,” she averred, “unless he works with someone.” The someone, or someones he is talking about comprise what they call “the body of Christ,” who are empowered to gain “dominion” over the Earth and to enforce their understanding of God’s agenda. This is what many observers call Dominionism.

“We are not peripheral to the world,” she declares. “The world is peripheral to us—the Church! The Church!” She insists that God “did not give the world authority, he gave all authority in heaven and on Earth to his Church.”

so is this prophecy at work, or a narcissist going about her business and trying to add to her millions?

I know what I think.
