I'm pretty sure it says somewhere in the Bible that no one knows when the end is going to be so it's all speculation
Nope, doesn't say that. It says we will begin to see all the signs and prophecies begin to come to pass. That is how we will know the end is here.

Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Yeah but there's a scripture somewhere in the Bible that says only God knows when the end is going to come so nothing we can really do but speculate
No there isn't.

There is a scripture that says no one knows the day or the hour except the Father. That is not the same thing as not knowing that the day of the Lord is at hand, or that this is the fig tree generation, or many of the other signs and prophecies that indicate the day of the Lord is at hand.

There is a very strong scriptural basis to say the following:

1. The entire world will see Jesus return on the clouds by the Spring of 2029.

Yeah it literally says no one knows the last day except the Father which is God

Doesn't mean you don't know when the end is coming. Doesn't mean you don't know the last generation, or that you don't know the season, or the year.

However, you hang your entire hat on a verse that says no one knows the day or the hour. (doesn't say month, or season or year or generation) but then you ignore the verse that says God does nothing without telling His prophets.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

That would indicate that although you weren't told 2,000 years ago the prophets will be told prior to the Lord doing it. Not only so but Joel says that in the last days He will pour out His spirit and people will dream dreams and see visions.

Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

You also ignore the verse to Sardis which says it they do not repent they will not know. Just because no one knew 2,000 years ago does not mean the prophets and the saints won't be given a heads up before the Lord returns.

Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Not much of a warning if as you say no one knows the hour.

But why so vague? Why not quote this mysterious verse to us so we can look at the context? Because I guarantee this, if the Lord said "no one knows the day or the hour" He said it as a reason why we need to watch. No one knows the day or the hour your wife is going to give birth, that is why you have to watch and be ready. No one knows the day and hour a thief will come, that is why you have to watch and be ready. The verse you are quoting you are absolutely and without any doubt misquoting. You use it to mean don't bother watching, when in reality the Lord used it to charge us to watch.

This sounds like the Jehovah's witnesses who keep predicting the end of the world and it keeps not happening
The problem with this line of thinking is there's no incentive to do anything to try to improve the world because why bother if it's going to end in a few years?
I would rather try to make the world a better place for those who are coming behind me
None of those scriptures you posted say anything about the world ending in a few years

You are a joke. Quote your Bible verse. You made a claim that the Bible said something that it doesn't now, back it up!

Everyone needs to be warned this is who is telling you to not watch for the Lord's return. You want to listen to him or to the Lord Jesus?

Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Mark 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

Mark 13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

Mark 13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Calling someone a 'joke' is unlike Jesus and doesn't belong in a Christian conversation about Scripture.

Let's recap

1. Dude makes the claim that the Bible somewhere says that no one but God knows when the end is so it is all speculation.

2. I disagree and say there is a very strong biblical basis to know when the Day of the Lord is at hand. And I provide a Bible verse that says exactly that. We will see all the things Jesus told us begin to come to pass and so we will know that our Redemption draweth near.

3. However, Dude continues to maintain that the Bible says that you cannot know.

4. I then provide 3 more verses that dispute this and again ask him to actually quote his verse so we could see what it is it really says.

5. Dude's response is to compare me to Jehovah Witness, a cult, and again refuses to provide the Bible verse that he claims is out there somewhere.

And your problem is not that he has slandered me and likened me to a Jehovah Witness who deny the deity of Jesus Christ. Your problem is that I used the word "joke"?

This is Dude's MO, he tells you what someone has said (he has done this to me repeatedly, misquoting and twisting what I have said). He also tells you what the Bible has said again misquoting and twisting what the Bible has said. This word "joke" is based on a history of him doing this repeatedly and we have been calling him out on it again, and again, and again, and again, and yet here we are calling him out on it again.

I use this word to point out that every time he gets called out on this he is losing credibility. One of the definitions of "joke" is something not to be taken seriously. That is my point, he is not to be taken seriously.

If you tell us the Bible says something that it doesn't and we ask to see the reference and instead you call me a JW, that is something that is not to be taken seriously.

Nobody here knows 100% accurate interpretations of the whole Bible and a differing take on a Scripture like this one or any one still does not call for name calling which to me is a form of bullying. Everyone is entitled to voice their take on Scripture unless it's flat out oppositional. If we start with the Royal Law 'Love one another as thyself' and keep it, is a bigger problem for us😇🙏

Mat 24:36
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

We all have our ways of saying things and shouldn't be labeled something but agree to disagree, on all sides. Just saying sometimes the chat on certain issues sounds like secular derision.

I'll be willing to bet I'm not the only person on this forum who doesn't think the world is ending in 6 years
So let's see how others weigh in on the subject

And the scriptures you quoted don't have anything to do with the world ending in 6 years

Mat 24:36
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Well thank you for quoting a scripture that we can look at.

Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

So before being told that we don't know the day or hour he tells us that this generation (referring to the fig tree generation when Israel shot forth the new leaves again after the winter was over).

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Yes, the prophecy that Israel would be reformed is one of the greatest prophecies in the Bible along with Ezekiels vision of the dry bones living again. There are pictures of the people in the death camps after WWII looking like skeletons walking out of their graves. These prophecies being fulfilled should be a powerful confirmation to us that the Lord's words will not pass away and that they will all be fulfilled.

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

This verse is a powerful word that tells us there is no prophecy in the Bible or in other books like the book of Enoch that tell us the day and the hour. The Fig tree generation prophecy tells us the generation. So we have two sides of the coin. There are prophecies that will tell us that the Lord's coming is at hand, and that it is very near, but there will not be any prophecy that tells you at 2am on Nov 14th the Lord returns. That is the kind of hoax that the cults have used.

37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Wow, do you see that your verse about not knowing the day or hour is stuck between a prophecy that tells us the generation and a prophecy that likens it to the days of Noah! Didn't Noah know what week the flood was going to hit? The world mocked him, ridiculed him, ignored his warnings and they were caught by surprise. But Noah and his family weren't.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

So how do we reconcile this? I already gave you several verses in Post #24 that tells you that God doesn't do anything without telling his prophets. He told Ezekiel and Daniel and other prophets like Joel key pieces to the puzzle that let us know the day is approaching, but He didn't tell any of them the day or hour. That doesn't mean He won't tell prophets in the future the day and hour. Otherwise how is it like the days of Noah and what is the point of the warning to the church in Sardis and how is Amos true when he says God does nothing without telling the prophets?

This is gobbledegook. I never said anything about 6 years, I have not made any predictions about the world ending, and you have not provided that verse of yours because as soon as you do quote it you know you will be exposed again.
