But I did think of seatbelts. I would have whole lot of seats, like in a car or airplane with seatbelts. The wriggly children could then strap themselves in and pretend they were going somewhere while a story is being read to them.

If the weather was good, we boys always played outside in the yard. We were superheroes, soldiers, cowboys or Indians.
My friend Michael didn't like me kicking play knives or guns out of his hand.
At 5 years old, this boy is on a different level. I think the difference was that he trained with his Dad from an early age...

this new school library I saw had steps leading down to the libray and swinging doors which I thought was great because doorhandles had been the bane of my library in my old school.

Note to school architects...use swinging doors for your libraries like they have in hospitals because remember us librarians are carrying or pushing trolley loads of books and we dont have ten hands.

What do you do?

I thought of having furniture barriers or a string curtain.
Or maybe a hamster wheel for them.
signs dont work as they cant or dont read them.

If they dont listen and keep disobeying, do you just ban them for life or what. Tired of playing traffic cop. Solutions please!
I have 3 girls 14, 16 & 18. It doesnt get easier LOL

I watched Matilda the musical and got this idea for a muddy playground that was just full of mud. You cant run very fast in mud.

well this new school I am in they just told the children dont run in the library because it has concrete floors under the carpet and you'll hurt yourself if you fall over.

I notice they still want to run back to class though. AND since its down some stairs to get to and I have to go fetch them I tell them to stick to the left and follow me otherwise they will crash into the students coming from the opposite direction.
