As parents/aunts/uncles/family members, the responsibility of our children rests with us. It is our responsibility to monitor what our children are being taught in school. Many public school systems are now propagandizing/indoctrinating the youngest of school children with their politics and the LGBT agenda. California is a prime example.

Gavin Newsome's wife is making money by making sexually explicit films and films that indoctrinate in liberal politics. These films are distributed to public schools. In turn, the schools enrich Gavin's wife by paying her licensing fees. What's in these films?

Gavin Newsom's wife's films shown in schools contain explicit images, push gender ideology, boost his politics

The films, which include "Miss Representation," "The Mask You Live In," "The Great American Lie" and "Fair Play," are licensed to taxpayer-funded schools across every state and sometimes contain sexually explicit imagery and push students to feel "shame and sorrow" about American society split by privilege and oppression. They are paired with curricula that include discussion on Gov. Newsom's comments within the films, urging them to gather their friends and vote for aligned politicians that support a "care economy" that "embraces universal human values."

Gavin Newsom's wife's films shown in schools contain explicit images, push gender ideology, boost his politics (msn.com)

Notice that the films support humanist/secular/LGBT values and are far removed from Christian values.

California is not the only State in which such indoctrination, brain washing, is occurring. The seriousness of the situation is that these politicians in power may be leading our children down, "THE HIGHWAY TO HELL"

It's our responsibility to care for our children, and make no mistake about it, they are under attack!

is this an ad for private schools?

Im sure they teach some of the same things in private schools except you might be paying an extra $20000 a year each child for the privelige. Unless you decide to be the teachers yourself. But you need to be trained and have a teaching certificate.

Send your children to a christian school or teach them yourself about the birds and the bees.

If they do get taught anything with LGBTQ content, train them to recongnise it for what it is. Its usually done in a special health class it wouldnt be taught all the time. Usually year 6 girls have a 'girls talk' and the boys go off to have a boys talk, though the boys might be a bit older. But they get told how to handle their bodies with hygiene etc.

Girls need to deal with periods from as young as 9. They need to know what their bodies are going through! If not it will be scary for them.

Dont just give them a pad or tampon and expect them to know how to use it.

Christian schools do teach secular stuff too. I got taught Evolution, granted we were taught what it said then the teacher would say why it was wrong. We had health classes that didn't go to explicit just enough. My way my point is in a Christian school like what I went too, it's okay to learn these things exist but also get taught what is right and wrong. For example it's good to learn Evolution so that you can know how to defend your beliefs in the future and not be ignorant. So yeah a balance is needed. However Christian schools do cost money and don't offer the best advantage programs like public schools do if you ignore all the bad stuff people complain about.

I'm undecided about what I'm doing for school for my kids. Right now my son is going to public school for pre-k and we're in the country so it's quite different than the city. I keep an eye out for rainbow flags and blue haired teachers. I can tell right away where someone is spiritually when talking. So if my son's teacher was off the wall I would definitely pull him out.

I went to public school in the 90s. Soo much better, but also very confusing. I remember our teacher telling us "we came from Apes." That was the exact wording and I can verify with friends from back then. 😆 she also showed us a picture of the"missing link" skull. I later found out that was a fake from the internet (found the exact picture). My parents never believed in evolution but I didn't listen to them.

The thing is even being home schooled I would have done my own research. So I may have believed in evolution regardless bc I was very rebellious. On the flip side I was a very confused kid and I wouldn't want to go back. But I also was dealing with my parent's marital issues, etc.

My son is an extrovert and bc of covid he was forced into being sheltered as a toddler. He still remembers the Halloween at 2 where we didn't trick or treat. 😆 figures that's the one he remembers. I just don't want to shelter him too much bc kids will resent that. It's never an easy decision being a parent.

Fortunately bc of the state of the world I'll probably end up homeschooling anyway when the next pandemic hits! 😬 jk I hope, but it's happened before.

But you need to be trained and have a teaching certificate.
That is another myth that has never been questioned. No, one does not need to be "trained" to be a teacher. And one certainly does not need a "teaching certificate" to prove that he or she is a teacher. Parents and grandparents who homeschool can do an outstanding job if they put their minds to it.

Getting back to the school systems today in North America, there are four options:

PUBLIC SCHOOLS INDOCTRINATE AND CORRUPT KIDS AND SHOULD BE BOYCOTTED

PRIVATE SCHOOLS MAY OR MAY NOT DO SO AND SHOULD BE SCRUTINIZED CAREFULLY

HOMESCHOOLS ARE FOR HELPING KIDS TO LEARN WHAT IS RIGHT AND DECENT ALONG WITH ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE.

CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOLS ARE FOR HELPING KIDS TO LEARN ABOUT GOD AND CHRIST AND ALSO BECOME GOOD STUDENTS.

my experience of public school and science class or biology in nz was that evolution was not taught. We were free to find out for ourselves if it was 'true' or not.

Most things are not taught explicitly and we were never 'indoctrinated' in anything. A lot of christians have this false idea that in public schools students get indoctrinated in evolution. It is not true! It is only offered as a theory and hypothesis...if you are a true scientist it is up to you to investigate whther it holds up or not.

As this is with anything. I recall that the several christian students refused to take on the idea of evolution as fact and respected them for doing so, rather than regurgitate what was in some outdated textbooks. You also have the right NOT to particpate in certain activities, like vivisection.

A lot of what we learn or what is taught, was outdated by the time we learned it anyway. In high school you cant always learn EVERYTHING you need to know at that age. The other thing is you dont really know what you dont know.

This is what libraries are for so you, if you are a learner with a curious mind, can find out for yourself. Dont rely on teachers to tell you everything.

It's refreshing to hear someone question evolution, referring to it as a hypothesis. It's good to hear that the public schools in NZ aren't as messed up as those in America. Anywhere gt funding goes in the USA, ie even libraries, research grants, every nature program, it always promotes the religious beliefs of Darwinism. It influences entire generations of children from as early as possible. Evil-ution is the gt sponsored religion in America.

Personal testimony:

When I was placed in preschool, I was already indoctrinated by books and probably TV. I had a big interest in BIG dinosaurs. I would bring plastic toy dinosaurs and books to "class.". That made me popular with the other boys. The teachers would ask me to take extra time to teach about dinosaurs after show and tell. One day, a TV station was there and did an interview with me. They wanted to air one of my presentations for a special. That really reinforced the little dinosaur loving teacher in me in a big way.

When Mom took me to the library, I checked out the book with the monkeys walking in single file one bigger than the other until it got to the man. (BTW, I don't hold this against my Mom. She was deceived just as Satan deceived Eve. ) I liked monkeys too, so I checked out Darwin's Origin of Species children's book because of the pictures on the cover. When you're that age, you might be reluctant to think that a monkey can become a man, but eventually a child will trust the authoritative source and believe about anything.
The devil and his servants know this, and so he tries to corrupt minds at the earliest age possible. There are a number of nefarious variations on this theme, but one quote from Vladimir Lenin is,

"Give us the child for 8 years and it will be a Bolshevik forever."

I don't have children, but I know exactly how and what they will be taught if the Lord ever blesses me with them. They will be taught by their own parents the truth, and that starting with the Word of God.

Fast forward to my mid teens. Someone shared the Gospel with me. I trusted Jesus as my Savior. Eventually I had a decision to make.

Am I going to take Genesis 1,2 literally, as I did the gospels, or try to make it conform to my Darwinian point of view that I was raised with? The Holy Spirit was very convincing.
I spent time in the Bible and considering what a Baptist preacher taught from it. I looked at animal sciences, the Biblical sciences and faith and chose to believe that God created everything in 6 literal days. My rejection of theistic evolution led to regular study of the Bible. I eventually took that knowledge and started sharing it with anyone with ears to hear. That's what every child and adult needs to learn so that they may trust the Only Creator and Redeemer, Jesus.

May the Lord bless New Zealand with the gospel to every person. They might be more open to it than Americans since the foundations have not been so undermined.

What bothers me about school is what is not being taught.

Math - beyond arithmetic.
Science - beyond the scientific method.
Reading - beyond repeating words.
Writing - beyond spelling, sentences, and paragraphs.
Engineering - everything.
Economics - everything.
Common sense - everything.
History - beyond events.
Geography - beyond maps.
Civics/government - everything.

We live in a complex world. Children need to be prepared not only to survive, but also to thrive.

In the UK where Charles Darwin came from, huge amounts of money is poured into places like Natural History museums to promote Darwinism and they have social darwinist ideas too eg Eugenics.

Its all through most scientific establishments eg National Geographic society and Royal Horticultural society and is part of colonialism.

However, it is not the be all and end all. If you have a thinking mind, which children in nz are encouraged to do inquiry...and think for themselves not just do what they are told or else....you can find out for yourself whats behind it all.

Even history has more than 2 sides to it, There are four sides to the gospel after all.

Children arent stupid...they are actually quite smart at figuring out things as they grow up. The concern for christian parents is what is NOT being offered in SOME public schools - a grounding in the Bible.

If your public school doesnt have a bible class at least once a week ask the Board or the Principal why not. It can be optional which is fine but make sure they have one. The Bible is part of history for many many people and even non christians benefit from learning about it. Learning the Bible doesnt mean chikdren are going to be 'indoctrinated' that only happens in Catholic schools lol

are you talking high school level
students can only take in a few subjects at a time and many teachers and schools dont have time or resources for eveything. But you can learn a lot of things at university level. Students need to be admitted first though.

The problem is school curriculum is often outdated and pedagogy comes and goes ...most schools are products and relics of an industrial age that has now passed. We are in a knowledge economy now.

I'm talking about elementary and high schools. I'm also talking about college and trade schools.

Knowledge is useless unless one knows how to apply it.

well that goes for church as well...lots of people go learn the Bible or have it forced on them and then they dont apply it to their lives.

Gods word doesnt return back empty though it has to be mixed with faith (to activate it) otherwise its a dead letter.

There is hope on the horizon, when it comes to 'school choice'. But parents need to demand this choice from their State Legislatures:

I think its weird that christian schools are the ones that cost money and the public schools are free.
You would think it should be the other way round.

But these days you have to pay to go to some churches.

You'd think so, but nothing is really free.
The christian schools that I'm familiar with pay their teachers little in comparison with public schools. Tuition is high and parents usually expect a higher academic standard.
Public schools are not free. I have no children, but had to pay over two thousand dollars this year for services that I do not use and for other people's children to be taught contrary to the Bible on every subject where it applies. The state religion, paid by me due to forced extortion, is evolutionism. There are exceptional Christian teachers that are in the gt system, as are other public servants. The problem is that, that is not the norm.
The problem is that believers are forced to pay for heathens' children to be taught heathen religion. It is very expensive.
