Baloney. No one was talking about their return to Judea, but the fleeing from it (as a refugee). They hid out in Egypt until Herod died sometime around 1BC as scholars reckon. Don't Americanize their story to suit your political biases.
No. Actually it is people like you who are trying to distort Bible truth. First of all, it was not the decision of Joseph and Mary that led to their going to Egypt. That was A DIRECTIVE FROM GOD. So they were not mere "refugees". They were directed by God to go away for a short time.

And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. (Mt 2:13)

The "Jesus gets us" ads cost 20 million dollars! Why was the money spent on this ad not given to the poor?
Why would anyone have a problem with this? It's a positive message
This was the complaint from a Democrat Congressman. He was critical of the ad and remarked about how many homeless people that $20 million could have sheltered and fed.

Of course he had no such criticism for the millions spent on similarly expensive ads promoting beer or Doritos. Such are the cries of hypocrites.

lol “People like me,” eh?

Well, the ad was designed for and aimed at a particular group of people (haters) and it seems they were right over the target with this drop.

I liked the music in those commercials.
‘By the way, did you follow the FIFA World Cup? Man, there was a lot of controversy there.

Why wasn't the money spent on all the other ads spent on the homeless. Just think how many shelters we could build.
Even better yet, we could apply all the money spent on the game to improving access to private STEM schools.

It is true that Jesus was an immigrant.
@ThereRoseaLamb

you don't like this fact?

He came from heaven to dwell on earth with us. Immigrated.
He was hated by the world because He was not of the world.
He was unfairly judged by the world.
They would not receive Him, and despised Him, because He was not of them.

He was unfairly judged by the world, lied about, and rejected.

The pharisees were afraid He would take their jobs. They called Him evil and spread all kinds of rumors about Him even though they knew it wasn't true, to turn the public against Him.

He was an immigrant, and He went back - they tried to kill Him, to send Him back to heaven where He came from.
A lot of people still hope He never returns.

From where did you manufacture this Fake News? This is another example of Leftist baloney to justify migrant invasion.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, went to Egypt temporarily, and returned to Nazareth which was the hometown of Mary and Joseph. Jesus would never have supported lawlessness as seen in migrant invasions today. Indeed He created the borders of nations according to Scripture.

As to the Super Bowl and anything connected to it, Christians should have been boycotting that event for some time.
John 8:23
And He said to them, "You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world."

Immigrant.

from heaven to earth, despised, mistreated, misunderstood, untruthfully spoken of constantly, feared, unjustly accused, the target of death threats, slander, ridicule, scoffing and all kinds of malice - a huge, expensive campaign waged to sway public opinion against Him through repeated lies.

He created the borders of nations
Leviticus 19:33-34 kjv
And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. [But] the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I [am] the LORD your God.

Simon Peter was in sin when he refused to eat with Gentiles - even while he himself was a stranger in their land, just as we also are made strangers in this world by The Holy Immigrant Who came from heaven to sojourn among us.

I'd think it is not a good look to wear a jacket that mocks Christ and makes Jesus into a paper doll with add-on accessories.

Imagine if instead that jacket would have depicted Allah.

I know, not a chance that would happen.

I've seen all the He Gets Us commercials.
The one that really sticks out is this one.
This is a very good message. :)

ĭm′ĭ-grənt
noun

  1. A person who leaves one country to settle permanently in another.
  2. An organism that establishes itself in an area where it previously did not exist.

The Left conflates illegal immigration with lawful immigration to make the right wing appear xenophobic and racist when opposed to open borders and sponsorship of the trespassers.

Jesus was God. Every atom was divinely breathed to life so to be get a male human form into the womb of Mary. The whole world is God's footstool. He didn't leave one place and settle in the world. Everything seen and unseen is his.

Jesus was not an immigrant.

I await the next commercial that says what many atheists have claimed. Jesus was a Socialist.

He Gets Us?
He didn't before?

Jesus is not a Brand.
