Whoever drinks will never thirst again
Whoever eats, never hunger again

amen amen
Isa 55:1
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Isa 55:3
Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Isa 55:7
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Isa 55:8
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

Isa 55:9
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

BTW tangentially, yet another proof that Christ is God:

Acts 20:28
Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

The church of God
His own blood

:)

Nothing but infinity can accomplish salvation - lost is lost, truly lost: saved is saved, truly saved
Nothing is impossible with God because He is God

Amen !!

Ya know, with all of the political disagreements, and arguments over whether or not our freaking planet is spherical or flat, at least we agree on this.

Well, it really is far more important than any/all of that other stuff - which is mainly just fodder for discussion...

It was not free

it Cost God the son a human existence and the pain and suffering he felt. Plus the cross.. the greatest payment of all.

Was the physical pain Jesus endured before and leading up to and on the cross with all the associated emotional and psychological effects the totality of what He endured in satisfying God's wrath on our behalf?

While I usually like short and concise answers, can you elaborate, or is Canada
experiencing a word shortage. If so, can you communicate your answer using emojis?

John 11:35 plus Isaiah 53:3

Salvation is Free to us but it cost God His Son. And it Cost His Son His life.

That is correct. All the sufferings of Christ -- physical, mental, and emotional -- were a part of His total sacrifice. He made His soul an offering for sin. And we dare not forget the shedding of His blood for the remission of sins. For without the shedding of blood there is no remission. God says that the life of "the flesh" (the body) is in the blood, and that is true medically and physiologically. But only Christians understand that there is a spiritual aspect to this which is extremely important. The Bible says that we are washed in the blood of the Lamb. This is altogether an internal and spiritual washing of the soul.

Thanks for your response and I agree with what you have espoused.
My question was actually more than just the apparent outward and inward suffering in all its forms associated with the crucifixion and all that led up to it was the totality of what He suffered. In other words, was there an element of suffering also that equated with an eternity of torment, whatever that may entail, for each individual believer poured out upon Jesus?
I recognize for those who do not believe in eternal payment for sin would answer no. But for those who believe the other way, I was wondering what their thoughts might be.

No

His actual payment was spiritual seperation from the father. which he endured while on the cross.

the rest he suffered as our high priest.. which is able to understand our pain and sorrow

Do you believe those who are unbelievers are punished eternally?

You have failed to fully read and comprehend Isaiah 53. The TOTALITY of the sacrifice of Christ included physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual suffering. The penalty of the Second Death was also included in that. And let us all bear in mind that in the end we cannot fully comprehend what actually transpired on the cross. Only God the Father knows precisely what His Son endured for our salvation.

The penalty if sin is death. We know it is not physical death or Adam would have died physically when he sinned and we would be born physically dead instead of spiritually dead
physical death is. Result of sin not the penalty.
