The other side could say those of self will are so arrogant they believe they choose over God. I chose my Salvation. I am in control of my life i chose.

I keep saying this, but faith comes from hearing the Word. Faith is not a work. Just because one has faith does not mean salvation was totally of God.

Well Ms. Beckie we do not say anything about self will.

We do say that God has a condition "belief" and that it is God's sovereign will to put in a condition for salvation.

No one can "will" belief, that is not the nature of belief.
Totally bought the freewill of mankind for about 40+ years

Salvation is something that the Christian did not gain by merit or effort.

Salvation is not a trade for faith, though one must have faith to receive salvation.

There is no pride in receiving salvation, it is actually the opposite >> humility!

Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God

If Salvation is not totally of the God why did send Jesus to the Cross? Do you think He did that to be of a little bit of help?

Eph_2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Everything's a work. Faith is a work; prayer's a work; even getting out of bed in the morning is a work according to some people. I think I'm going to tell my employer they need to start paying me to stay home in bed because it's against my religion to get up and come to work.

Right, so we agree, faith is not a work and Christ did it all.

The difference is...
The difference is your position unwittingly asserts that faith was forced on you whether you wanted it or not.

Because to accept the grace of God is a work, according to you .:censored::rolleyes:

And we all know we are not saved by works...

It's so simple, a child can understand. I don't get why we are spinning our wheels here. We hear the Word, the Spirit draws, God saves.

Not that accepting God's grace is a work but accepting it because of oneself makes it so.

That's directly against what the Word says. Faith is not a work.
Belief is not only a work, but is God's work to believe in Christ, and thus, cannot be of ourselves.
[Jhn 6:29 KJV] 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Yes... He works on and in us so we are then capable of making the right choice to accept and believe.

Making that choice to surrender, accept and believe is not a work.

Faith, the word we are using is faith. Faith is not meritorious, it's not a work.
