If I build a fire in my fireplace, wood is the source of the fire. I may be the creator, but I am not the source. So, what is the source of the light in Genesis 1:3-4, "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness." God is the creator, but He clearly is not the source. And if He divided the light from the darkness, does God have darkness? Obviously not!

So again, what is the source of the light?
God is clearly the Source. He did not use Jaybo's wood. God is not like Jaybo. (That is a comforting thought for the rest of us.)

If your sources say your source is the source, then your source is insourced, not outsourced.

How can you say God is "obviously the source of the light"? As I wrote earlier, if I build a fire, the wood used is the source of the fire's heat and light. So who/what is the source of the light (not who created it)?

Do you think I meant light was shining out of Him as if He were a light bulb? Yes, that is what you claimed.
I believe it is in the scripture bro. He spoke, as we know waves share same properties, why we are able to define them as waves, be they light, sound, electromagnetic, and etc.

God has the ability to transform or change. We are commanded be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. Bible says that we can entertain angels unaware. Says that Satan can appear as a angel of light. Christ after death had a form of flesh and bone and walked through a solid object. To do that you have the ability in that body, one that bible says is like the angels. You have the ability to change your density so that your atoms on a subatomic level would pass through or by other atoms. God visited Abraham as a man, Jacob wrestled a angel. God was a burning bush to Moses. God heals and much more. So definitively he has the ability to manipulate or transform, to change things at a atomic level.

So I would say that he is the source when he spoke that would be a sound wave and he changed the properties or transformed it from a one form of a wave to another. From sound to light all the while it still remained a wave. Sound is energy that is created from vibrations of atoms. So I find he would have no problem in our terms, to reverse engineer, on a level that instead of sound being made by the vibrations of atoms but instead would create the atoms of our material world.

We also see that the Holy Spirit was upon the waters moving, in the original language that word move can also mean vibrate. Not in the way that Gnostics, esoterics, and such would then use to explain we are all gods and then use vibrations through crystals or other false means.

We know as scripture surely points to an ability to manipulate or transform is something God can do at every level of the uncreated as himself or the created by himself. Scripture also says he spoke into existence all that is. With it being beyond my human comprehension to fully understand or even explain as I have no clue of how the science of it would work but would say that he had all the building blocks he needed that day simply in the words he spoke. So he is the source, he has the ability to manipulate, and we know he spoke it. So he would remain the constant and he be the source.

Bible also says that God is light. So I find no matter how I try and slice it with my limited understanding of his immense power and ability, fact is the answer just keeps coming up as him and his very nature to be able to do so. Both in the physical realm and the spiritual realm. Making it truth as it is constant in both the material and immaterial. So I can only resolve that it is him and the nature or ability that he has and he remains the source on every level at such a level he can speak it then it appear as he spoke.

So in the end it would be as he has defined himself to us, God is love, God is light, He is life, he is the resurrection, he is the truth, and more. So the sum total in every application is that he is definitively the source. So not sure I even made sense because again I just don't have the smarts to truly understand it or explain it, however we do know that we see God speaking the spirit moving and the result is the material world as we know it. Thereby making him the source of all from the seen to the unseen.

In Genesis chapter 1 we see God moving from the eternal into time and space. It is by His will and His timing that this occurs, not as a haphazard event. This is foundational of all creation.

When He proclaims "let there be light" it is not as if this is the beginning of God but rather the beginning of the revealing of who He is in time and space. "God is light", so He establishes the standard of creation and the Word by which it will be maintained from the outset.

What remains is the power of God, but our physical world, maybe it will cease to exist, I just say maybe, because the world is corrupted.
Only God is always there.

Yes. And no man has seen God because He cannot be contained within time and space: He's outside of both. But, we can see the Son, who is the "brightness of His glory and the express image of His person...".

The Son is the image of the person of God, or, the way I understand it, the way by which God the Father interacts with man.

God speaks to us by Son and there is no schism between the Father and the Son. Therefore, by knowing Christ we may know the Father.

"When you see me you see the Father".

One explanation is that Jesus Himself is the light until He created the sun and moon, much as He is the light of heaven where there is no need for sun or moon.
If the light was separated from the darkness, then Jesus had darkness also. So much for that theory.

As if you can fathom the radiant omnipotent, omniscient dynamic absolute power of The Creator of all time, existence et al.

What does that mean? We're discussing the light created on day one that was separated from the darkness.
It doesn't say God created the light. He merely said...Let there be light. It only says He created the heavens and the earth.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Matthew 24:35

Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look at the earth below; for the heavens will
vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out likea garment, and its people will die like
gnats. But My salvation will last forever, and My righteousness will never fail. Isaiah 51:6

For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke
of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Matthew 5:18

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away. Mark 13:31

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away. Luke 21:33

Oh! I like that Isaiah verse for a new panel, thank you!

So all of Genesis 1 -- the story of creation -- is false?

Here is that story...

God said, “Let there be light.” And there was light!
God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters and let it separate water from water. So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it."
God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place and let dry ground appear.” It was so.
God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: plants yielding seeds and trees on the land bearing fruit with seed in it, according to their kinds.” It was so.
God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them be signs to indicate seasons and days and years, and let them serve as lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.” It was so. God made two great lights—the greater light to rule over the day and the lesser light to rule over the night. He made the stars also.
God said, “Let the water swarm with swarms of living creatures and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.” God created the great sea creatures and every living and moving thing with which the water swarmed, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind."
God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: cattle, creeping things, and wild animals, each according to its kind.” It was so. God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the cattle according to their kinds, and all the creatures that creep along the ground according to their kinds."
Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move on the earth.”

God created humankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them,
male and female he created them.

That is the story of God's creation! "Let there be..." is the phrase used to create.

Read your Bible and stop trying to contradict Scripture in your mind.

Everything else came from the original creation. God is light. No need to create that.

He dwells in unapproachable light .:D

He alone is immortal and dwells in unapproachable light. No one has ever seen Him,
nor can anyone see Him. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen. 1 Timothy 6:16
