Yes, there is a Christian saying, "with God, the best is always yet to come".

I believe in miracles & gifts of the Spirit, but am very wary of the "easy" manifestations that are are popping up everywhere, such as tongues, word of knowledge, wisdom, etc.
I notice that Prophecy seems to be the least practiced gift nowadays, even though Acts 2 says all christians should prophesy, as well as prophecy being the best gift.

on that note, right now, i can't say that not 1 Christian i know witnesses to others.

I don't know of too many.
Most just go to church if they even do that, Jesus didn't say we were saved by attending church, and mere mental assent to Him is not faith, faith requires action.
If we have Him dwelling in us He will confirm if a manifested gift is genuine.

In Bible study last night the co-pastor taught out of the OT about being slaves. She had the scripture, yet confessed she didn't know where to go with it.
The context was about idolatry, & she couldn't see it, even though it was the only subject of the chapter.
The pure irony is she had the right scripture for our church, but couldn't see it because she's spiritually blind on the matter. That's how bad it's getting these days.
It amazes me that so many can speak for an entire service & not say anything significant.

continued...
She supposed to be Spirit-filled but can't discern where her church is & that we're in judgment even now.

So many pastors are finding their sermons on the internet & don't take a second thought that God isn't speaking to them anymore.
I would be scared to death to try such a thing without the Lord.

indeed Edify. i used to go to a Bible meeting where a guy became a pastor thru the computer. to me, he didn't possess the qualities of a fine preacher her-teacher. i said something to him about his "computer schooling" & he didn't like it.. haven't seen him since.

That's not the problem because God can use anyone He pleases. Both pastors(husband & wife) are like this.

This story has many signs of being fake:
https://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/us/202...clinically-dead-woman-revived-in-true-miracle

1. No name is given for this woman.
The woman who is "raised from the dead", according to the article, has no name, and the doctor recounting it can't remember her name, or anything about her, or any kind of follow up info. Her name is never mentioned in the article, and the doctor who is at a church "testifying" of the event, says he can't recall her name.
Hmmm.

2. No date is given for this event.
No date is given, it's just said to be Spring of 2021.
A specific date would be one of the ways to identify the women, and the event, and track it down, and verify it.
But this miraculous event everyone should remember... has no date.
Hmmm.

3.Nobody seems to know her name.
Although a local pastor is on hand when this "raising" happened, and a doctor is there, along with nurses and various staff people in the room, along with the woman's husband.... nobody has a name for this woman.
Hmmm.

4. SIGNS OF A FAKE STORY:
When people don't have names, and events don't have dates, this is usually a sign of a false story. Dates and names are what we use to corroborate claims, and corroborate stories.
News articles, if they are genuine, will have all of this info RIGHT AT THE TOP.
When we don't see names and dates, it's a good indicator a story is simply made up... as these are the usual hallmarks.

CONCLUSION:
A.)
I believe God is active in the world, and still takes all kinds of action, through both providence and genuine miracles.
B.) That does not mean I believe, or that I'm obligated to believe, every story I hear that sounds fake.
C.) This story has all the hallmarks of a fake miracle claim, and I see no reason to take it seriously. If it was real, they'd give the exact date, and the woman's name, and the husband's name, and the follow-up reports on her health, and signed statements from the nurses.... SO THAT IT COULD BE VERIFIED AND PROVEN... FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE. They would, at the very least, give her name with a date, for some rudimentary verification.
D.) When the details required to verify a story are conspicuously absent... that's the hallmark of a fake story.

I believe God does miracles.
But we live in a fallen world, full of deception, grifters, and every kind of nonsense.
We should get in the habit of reading things carefully, and doing our best critical thinking.
God Bless, and I hope you all have a great weekend.

If we are truly His we will take it to the Lord and He will confirm or not the event.
We are commanded to not lean on our own understanding for this reason, that the adversary roams throughout the earth.

a woman preacher you are saying?
I suggest you look up ALL the Scriptures on this subject, and you'll find that is not the case!
