I suspect that the Ukraine HAS SOMETHING that Russia wants for purely economic reasons, and "Justification" was never even a consideration in any of this fiasco. "Business" doesn't CARE about "morals", or "Right and wrong". Nothing matters but the bottom line.
Russia was doing just fine without Ukraine. Putin is an autocratic dictator who dreams of long lost glories of Russia's past. How do we know? He said so. He now adds his behaviour to his words, much like Hitler did. Putin has invaded several countries previously, perhaps a trial run for Ukraine.

Putin miscalculated. He did not expect any real resistance from Ukraine. His experience with Europe's response in 2014 (i.e. none) led him to believe that Ukraine would have no outside help. He also believed that his army was strong enough. Endemic corruption in the military means that Russia's army was a shadow of what it should have been. If it was about money only, he would have negotiated a favourable peace early in the war.

For Ukraine's part, they were poorly prepared. They foolishly rejected foreign intelligence service reports that Putin would definitely invade. That they overcame the initial invasion is a testament to their resilience and the determination of their armed forces. Maybe when both sides run out of young men to kill, peace will return. Either that or Putin will die and someone less ideologically driven will rule Russia. Or maybe God's people will pray and a miracle will put an end to the war.

Ukraine is not a nation of peasant dummies. They are the designers and builders of Antonov aircraft. They designed and manufactured some of Russia's nuclear missiles. They have some seriously high tech industries. Russia would be much better off if they had gone into business instead of going to war with them.

I think everyone is ignoring the one world currency. Yes, christians are concerned that the one world currency will give those in power absolute power to be dictators and control everything you do and say. But what about Russia, don't you think they were threatened by what was about to happen? What about China? Do you think these powers really wanted to give absolute power to the globalists vision of one world currency? The war is clearly and undeniably about this one world currency

Good grief man the leaked docs say just the opposite!
The reality is that the situation is constantly changing. Russia is slowly adapting to Ukraine's better tactics. Just how hard it is for Russia is demonstrated by the battle for Bakhmut. Russia is till unable to take the town in spite of it being under attack for months. They are now sending small units of conscripts to attack Ukrainian positions. Once they are dead, the more elite troops move in on the Ukrainian positions that were exposed. It's brutal but fairly effective. At the rate of success, it would take Russia 50 years to occupy Ukraine. That's assuming Ukraine's military does not get improved weapons and more highly trained soldiers. That is far from a given.

Yeah....
Russia needs a "win" and it isn't getting any in order to claim a victory.

Meanwhile the real counter-offense by Ukraine has yet to start. It should in the next couple of weeks. Which has Russia really worried.

And let's not forget that the Russian Government is quickly going broke. They will be out of financial reserves by June. Their Ruble will be in free fall afterwards.
Ukraine is used to being poor....Russia is not. Most Russians have more than one type of currency in their bank accounts....who does that? Because the Ruble has failed several times.

So you are saying that the Republicans were wrong then and that the Republicans are still wrong today?

Because in both instances it is a Republican led Congress that made the laws that force Biden to give Ukraine the Aide they are getting....
AND
That Ukranians should just roll over and be ready for Russian slavery....because those who were enslaved in Crimea were enslaved....those who escaped joined the Ukranian military to try to liberate their neighborhood and their homes.
Yes no doubt there are Neo-cons in the Republican party and they are pro war.

This goes back to the Bush Sr. administration who were not really conservatives but liberals who infiltrated the Republican Party, Another name for this group is war mongers.

You ask the wrong questions. The question should be...... why has the Ukraine allowed itself to be destroyed in this proxy war between the USA and Russia.

Ummmm
Why did Obama not give Ukranians the help they needed in 2014?

This war started in 2014 when Russia stole Crimea by annexing it then.

It's not Ukranians destroying and stealing.
The city of Bakhmut is mostly just gone. The city (once a vacation destination) is destroyed. The beautiful beaches of Crimea are now military fortifications.

It's like Cuba came and invaded Florida and said they now owned it and have liberated it from America.
We aren't going to take kindly to such things. And we are going to fight this out.
The difference being that Cuba is poor. It can't hardly defend its fishing boats much less pull off an invasion.

But suffice it to say that we either assist Ukraine or Alaska is next. Alaska is only some 60 miles away from Russia. And fishermen do bring guns when they fish that far north that it's close to Russia. Just saying....

The "one world currency" already exists. It's called the US Dollar. It is the most stable currency in the world. ALL banks and governments across the planet have US dollars as their reserve currency.... including Russia and China.

Consider that a few thousand precision guided thermobaric bombs delivered from high altitude standoff bombers and it would be over.

Every counter offensive battalion would be wiped out in days. And zero AD as AFU does not have any.

Russia is playing possum. Obviously.

I call to your attention the fact that this war is all about the desire of Russia (and others) to emancipate themselves from this financial hegemony. I have posted dozens and hundreds of items about this on another thread.

Wishful thinking....it doesn't work like that nor are Ukranians dumb enough to be so closely packed together. Russians aren't that dumb either unless they are the cannon fodder soldiers.

The war started ex post "Revolution of Dignity". Crimea was taken thereafter.

Sure it does. Old fashioned carpet bombing (in Kiev and every military outpost and staging area) with TU-95's could happen tomorrow if Russia wanted it to happen. Ukraine has little to nothing in the way of AD and Russia could jam any defense they have.

Game over.

I'm not taking sides on any of this. I'm just really sad for the citizens on both sides who can be quite nice apart from their political leaders.

But anyway, I would like to ask everyone if they think this little war could lead to the Ezekiel 38 war, if the last days truly are approaching us on a fast clip? What do you guys think?

I'm thinking whatever the outcome of this war, I'm thinking Putin doesn't want Russia to be part of the one-world government that the globalists are now openly aiming for. So he and the Jew-hating nations that join Russia will come together and attack Israel. If Russia gains power over that, then Russia will have a nice port besides the Crimea as well as the wealth and production of fruitful Israel. I don't think it's so much racial hate as it is more geographic and monetary advantage for Russia and a way to stave off the unification of the world under one leader.

And according to Ezekiel 38, he loses because God will intervene on behalf of Israel. But then the Antichrist will rise and maybe take the credit? And he'll dazzle Israel with promises of peace under a treaty and build the Jewish temple where the mosque is (because God will have crushed all those Islamic countries who attack Israel in the Ezekiel 38 war).

It's just me wondering. I actually don't know how things will turn out because I'm only thinking of Ezekiel 38 in isolation, when there are things the Bible says that may be going on around that time.

But I'd like to know all of your inputs, corrections, etc. so I can get a better picture of how things may actually go.

At this point practically all Ukrainians are conscripts. The elite units have been wiped out.

BTW.....there is every reason to believe that the casualty ratio is something like 7:1 in favor of Russia.

The Magog invasion is AFTER the pre-trib rapture, occurring at the time of the opening of the second seal.
The Ezekiel 37 dry bones fulfillment is happening NOW (in stages).

Ezekiel 38 aside....
This is definitely about money and resources. Russia wants them and Ukraine has them. Russia thought it could steal them by being a bully and Ukraine wasn't the wimps or the idiots that Russia thought them to be.

That's it in a nutshell.

That is only a precursor of what is planned. A digital currency that is truly one world, meaning Kenya and India and Germany will not have different currencies that you must exchange. Also, because it is digital the government will know every penny you receive and every penny you spend. They will also have the ability at any time to shut off access to your money for whatever reason they want.

Now you can imagine that dictators like Putin and Xi are not about to give that kind of power to someone else, hence WWIII
