My elderly mother was admitted to a hospital to treat a bad urinary tract infection and came home with pneumonia, which nearly killed her.

It is mindblowing how people have misunderstood the welfare state. If you have a pension with the state, or have medicare, or receive Social Security then the state has a financial interest in you dying as soon after you retire as possible.
Bingo!

I had an MBA medical doctor prove that point from half a dozen plus angles, using the CDC AMAs own research, reports and numbers.
Every step in the process from insurance to hospitals, physicians, pharma and governments have designed the processes to milk as much money as possible at the expense of the patients/ public.

I'm glad she survived. I've seen way too many harmful treatments like that lead to death.

Around two weeks ago I praised the Lord for His grace to someone who suffered from major inflammation and likely a kidney stone. We nipped it in the bud day one with one half quart jar of pure cranberry juice, folic acid and Fenugreek. They responded immediately and were altogether well before the end of the day. Cost was under $10 of product. If you had to buy it all today to have available, it would be about $50 total.
I'm not saying that everyone responds that way, but I was able to praise the Lord Jesus for creating such things to heal His people.

Yep, they will treat you like a prized milk cow until you can no longer give milk, then you will be sold to Cambell's soup company.

I assume he trusts the hospitals more than you?
My brother was healed completely and miraculously as a teenager after we were told time and time and time again to prepare for the fact that he would die within a couple of years, starting when he was an infant. The diagnosis and treatment was by the top Cystic Fibrosis specialist in the east and multiple physicians in the top hospital in West Virginia. He was given a number of treatments and physical therapy daily for his life up until then. God answered prayers and healed Him all by Himself. The details of which many churches have heard to encourage their faith. For that alone, I would expect him to exclude any faith in hospitals.
There were many other miracles, but that was a personal one he experienced. He is an adult and there has been no relapse. There is no medical cure for CF.
God gets all the credit and glory.

Wow that's amazing, praise the Lord! Yes it seems like he'd really trust God after that.

That's what one of my books is about. The Lord keeps reminding us from time to time of how good He is. Even though we forget, there's been no shortage of miracles and answered prayers.

Have you ever published a book? I like to write sometimes and have gotten some smaller works published, but not a book yet.

BTW, you've got the cutest new avatar picture. Is that a precious little pup from a recent litter?
Yes we actually had 2 litters, one was on accident. 7 in one, 5 in the other. So far 6 of them have found homes, and one is spoken for. I want to get my dog fixed soon; I think she needs to be done with mommy days. It's really hard to find homes for them! But I'm in love with one of the Auggies and just might keep him.

Nothing published yet. They are in rough drafts right now and I keep adding chapters.
At some point, I just need to stop and call it volume one. There are two or three books depending on how I decide to organize and edit them.

That's so neat that you write too!
Do you write fiction or nonfiction?

That one is so colorful!
Is it 100% Catahoula?

I just looked at dozens of pictures of the breed and yours is the cutest and most colorful by far. That's really interesting that there's Red Wolf in their lineage!
Wait! You said Auggies. Their face is similar, but it's a different breed! My bad. We talked Catahoulas a while back. Thought it was that kind.
If I was able to raise one right now, I would be very tempted to buy one of yours.

Cool! Hope you get them published.

I guess you could say both. Short stories, a poem, an article. One of the stories I wrote was a true account that happened to me with names and details changed.

Yes the one in the pic is an Auggie. Her mom is 1/2 Mini-Aussie 1/2 Corgi, and her dad is Mini Aussie. It's one of her brothers that I want to keep.

My dog Mandy is half catahoula, half mini-Aussie, and she bred with the neighbor's husky. So those pups are quite the mix I guess!

While we're on the subject of animals, I wrote on your profile earlier that my sister's little starling died early this morning. So sad. I think it had a cold cuz it was losing its voice. She was trying so hard to take care of it.:(
