They're certainly "new" from the perspective of the churches in the New Testament.
Scripture tells us some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons. What fellowship does light have with darkness. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness.

An "interest" in such is a very unhealthy interest, and we know it all starts from the thought life no being renewed.
There is One way.

When is the last time your Church had a sermon on the disciplines of practicing silence, solitude , prayer, fasting?
Even so these practices would be more suitable for private devotions, not within church meetings.

A “Christian” told a group of other “Christians” that when she dies she’s going to tell God to send her back to earth because there’s too much work that needs to be done, and she “knows” she will be reincarnated to complete the mission. Everyone applauded. I rebuked her, stating reincarnation is new age garbage.

Point is they aren’t generally even private devotionals because no one ever teaches or encourages it. So if no one teaches or encourages it as ok ,how do you get it into private devotions to begin with? At the very least preachers should scratch the surface and encourage the congregation to look into them and dive deeper in small groups. But from what I gather the disciplines rarely even get honorable mention in a sermon

Good verse

New age isn't New.
Doctrines of Demons are being taught in many ways.

Traditionalism and not being willing to test all to the word of God is the biggest reason why these false doctrines come in..

One of the biggest deceptions is the first lie told to Adam and Eve.
Gen 3:4-5
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

This lie is repeated in newage teachings and many churches...

Eze 18:4 Behold,.....
: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Eze 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die.......

Ecc 9:4-6
4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion. 5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

The word is our safegaurd.

I thought it might be educational if people would share some New Age practices they've encountered in church. I have some of my own but I'll give others a chance to respond first. Where are all these New Age teachings and practices coming from, and why do people accept them so easily?
No bibles in churches today, people are on their phones.:(

No, that never occurred to me. I'm interested in New Age practices that have already been imported into the body of Christ, not "spiritual disciplines." That seems to be your pet project so go ahead and do them all you want; knock yourself out. I couldn't care less about them.
Brother, it would do you so well to look into the disciplines and reconsider. There are amazing spiritual benefits in engaging the disciplines. But I will leave it to you from there.

Why are you so intent on pushing this?

Yoga and martial arts.
I knew a guy in leadership once who was into martial arts and I always wondered why a Christian would want to do this. I studied Tai Chi when I was younger, before I was a believer. It's all about attuning to the "universal energy" and "life force," not unlike yoga.

This is an Evangelical who was an expert in the new age religions. It's an audio of a conference. He is introduced around the 3:00 mark. He begins speaking at the 4:00 minute mark. Enjoy.
