These people are extremely artful in their being and offering you what you want most.
You almost need a severe case of reactive attachment syndrome to not be taken in by a cult leader who focuses in on you.

And Remnant Fellowship was anything but a sex cult disguised as Christianity. They were one of the worst things I've seen in a long time. They were not about sex....they did have a thing about being "healthy " by diet and exercise....but it was ONLY ONE aspect of this cult.
They very much were about isolating you from the rest of the world and your family. (Which considering the number of dysfunctional families even in stable good homes it's not that hard)
The man I know that lost a daughter to this cult wasn't an overbearing jerk....actually just a slight bit permissive with his daughter....but she had a great relationship with her parents and there was no reason to not be slightly permissive. (Good grades, no trouble) He didn't spoil her rotten on stuff either....just a normal Christian father doing his job. There's a lot I'm not at liberty to say but suffice it to say that he and his family was active in his faith when he was unknowingly losing his daughter.

I must say I have never heard about them. I don't how I missed such a cult. I feel for that dad. It's hard when we don't see satan's tricks. His focus is so much on the family. Separating parents, pulling children away from the path. Yet it seems we still don't see the enemy coming. We look outward and he's in our midst causing division. smh So very sad.

Socialism is simply TYRANNY be a handful of tyrants.

But schools, colleges, and universities in America -- the freest country in the world -- were hijacked by Communists for decades, and what we are now seeing is a Communist tyranny in America and Canada, with a lot of virtue signaling.

Unfortunately there are some who have also embraced so-called socialism and progressivism because their proponents do not come right out and say "WE ARE MARXIST/LENINIST/COMMUNISTS". At least the Soviets were honest, but these Americans are totally dishonest.
Yes, with BLM, the first time I heard of them I looked them up and right away knew I wasn't going to lend my support to that. I told Christians on my Facebook page, people who had known me for years intimated that I was racist. smh I had a black friend who was the pastor of small church and very sincerely I explained what I read, why this was wrong and I couldn't support it, he blocked me. If I ever see him in person again we're going to have a come to Jesus moment! smh

Most went to their families to help pay for it....the ones left behind either got jobs, begged, or tried to do something to get the money to go.

Life in Jonestown was anything but pleasant....it was brutal, hot, humid, South America jungle down there. These people were used like borrowed mules to try and farm the area. Not much in the way of tractors or other farming tools except hand tools.

Eventually they hit an equilibrium and people were eating enough....there never was enough protein to go around though. (Eggs, fish, and etc) But by this point lots of people had "drifted away" from the camp in the middle of the night or day when nobody could catch them.

Which these desertions are what led Jones to begin the "practice" sessions of suicide kool-aid.
poor koolaid it was flavor aid cheaper then koolaid

Well, you said it. Very often these groups tell their members that they can't be saved unless they belong to their group. It's the fear of falling from grace that keep them in. They are the one true church or denomination and outside of them all are going to Hell. The leader may claim to have the keys to the mysteries. David Koresh claimed to have the secrets of the seven seals and the end times. Jim Jones convinced people he was God in the flesh through his manifested sons of God doctrine. I mean, if you believe someone is actually God in the flesh, wouldn't you do anything for them? lol

Couldn't tell you the name of the movie but I watched the one on Koresh. The way that ended was heartbreaking. Whether you blame the gov't approach or not, they were willing to go down to hell with that man. I guess I'm one to ask too many questions. My parents taught me that, no matter who it was, if something didn't seem right or match up with the Word, speak up. I think that taught me discernment. They taught respect for authorities, but not blind respect. I attend a church now where my pastor, an avid reader, will say "I don't know everything. If you have a question and I don't know the answer we'll go to the Word and find the answer together". One of the best men I believe I have ever sat under. He's a teacher, I appreciate that in him.

A lot of educated blacks forgot all about Booker T. Washington (an outstanding Christian) and embraced Communism instead. Barack Obama was trained under Communist Saul Alinsky and applied "Alinsky's Rules" during his regime. He was also a buddy Of Louis Farrakhan of the Black Muslims. So now we have the cult of BLM, Critical Race Theory, and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) and the religion of Black Racism. Thus Ketanji Brown Jackson was elevated to the Supreme Court because she is a black woman. But black Justice Clarence Thomas recently made sure she would not get away with her Black Racism which was expressed in her opinion.

We have a "vocal" friend in our town that was going to support BLM because she thought that they were standing up for the right things....but then we sent her a quiet warning telling her to investigate carefully before she did. That we had some serious concerns about some of the things on their website.

She went ballistic....not on us though.

She went ballistic on BLM and very pointedly demonstrated how so closely aligned with Nazis, Marxism, and Fascism that it was really scary these people were becoming mainstream.

Currently BLM is in deep debts that it cannot pay. The founders and higher upside are being publicly assassinated in the press and I do believe that criminal charges are pending.

If we hadn't said anything.....I wonder what would have happened with our friends.

4. Phobia indoctrination. If you find that you have a lot of new fears, ask yourself why. Seeing threats everywhere? Cults use fear to induce people to stay within their ranks, where they’ll be safe. And naturally the only person who can truly protect you is the cult leader. Who is also responsible for punishing you. Their methods are effective because they alternate fear with love, leading to disorganized attachment.

Now you know that most people haven't even heard of Flavor Aide....such cheap of the cheapest isn't where a lot of people have a lot of knowledge. Although in my younger days there was a Flavor Aide I thought I liked better than kool-aid.

Jim Jones though....he was a true Chameleon in personality and with lots of likeability....
Nobody who met him disliked the guy.

However....the actions of his past before he started his following tells more about his true nature. But even then he seemed to get away with stuff too.

And to this current day I have seen people still actively and angrily protect pedophile pastors. Even the preacher saying things like "Yes I knew that she was only 14 and my friends daughter at the time but that was 15 years ago and now she just wants to come forward to hurt me as if she has a justified reason "

We, as a people, really don't understand these things. We have not changed a bit in 50 years.

See?
You were asking me to BELIEVE YOUR INTERPRETATION OF WHAT GOD WANTS FROM ME. And that's a line that I don't ever ever cross. That's the start of EVERY destructive Christian cult.

And I know not to because I know God's Word extremely well. And Jesus was very specific about doing what you just said....it was almost verbatim of what not to listen to. So guess what?

And as far as knowing the power of God?
No....I don't want to. The tiniest fragments that I've personally witnessed are more than enough to make me uncomfortable being around such things. I want nothing to do with wielding any of it. It's God's and his alone to wield. And He does as He sees fit. "The beginning of wisdom is....."
There's gonna be a "fail army" type video booth in Heaven....I don't want to be a star in one of those videos.
You can believe what I say or not I am not forcing it on you but I am giving a very serious warning. To be honest your response is the main reason why I am seeking after the truth and the kingdom with such zeal it actually made me feel sad.

You are satisfied sated with where you are if you actually knew this bit of power of his then you would not be able to say what you have the real thing is not so easily understood
It makes you seek it it draws you to a fascination of him his awe power majesty his kingship that amazing reverence when you are kneeling before him as his servant child royal abasssador and chosen beloeved of the king.

He is calling us to more don't forget how he describes how he feels with those who are sated who are neither hot nor cold for him who in his eyes are grey neither black nor white. But he is not playing games and he is not messing around we either get srious with him now or sufrfer the the loss of what we miss out on

But you have decide if you are going to answer his call if it is so hard to hear him that what I say contradficts then do Iwhat I do go into your prive place with him relax and be still and know him speak with him and ask him about all this and just wait for him to answer

He always answers sometimes it's quick and sometimes it takes a while or sometimes you have to say to him I am not leaving here until you speak

Cults mainly involve a religious diety and figure or promises of enetering into a higher plane but it is never free it costs an arm and a leg a often times death sacrifices and unspeakable things. They prey on the emotional the vulnerable and they know you coax them into the fold breaking them and mindwarping them slowly you teach them to think it is their thinking not that they are being brainwashed.

I came across a video today that was a lot like this. I was doing some studies on the word consciousness because it is in scripture but that word doesn't sit right with me it makes me feel iffy and uncomfortable and I wanted to see if I could find a video on a biblical teaching of the consciousness and what it is .

Not many results but a video I came across was distrubing oh it makes sense scripturally but it focuses on the self more than God one of those new age blending of Christianity. And it has several links below on ridiculous things like how to manifest things from inside and stuff.

This type of cult recruiting is a dangerously effective one and tries to seem like the real thing but that feeling inside you says it all.

If I am not mistaken this is all about God not ourselves but every cult will always focus on the self far more than the deity they follow.

To fight these kind of spirits this is why we need to get serious in our walks these cults show up more and more and there is a reason why we were warned.

The motivation of an occult is.

Is to firstly astound.

Then once they have your attention.

The next thing to do is terrorise.

Sound familiar ?
If you are refering to me then there is nothing more I can do for you at this point if this is because I mentioned you may need some guidence on some things then you are not ready to be friends

All I have done for you is try to help you to the truth the real thing Jesus himself the higher position he has already said in scripture we stand in with him in his kingdom I have tried to be gentle as to not offend you.

But if I am wrong then please don't take this harshly however that is my firm stance so don't expect me to coddle you

You're right about his voice. I dozed off after 10 minutes. It was pretty late though. He needed a good evangelist or pastor to provide a few lessons on public speaking to help him with the voice inflections. I listened to it a few times over the years because it was so informative.
I think the message and teaching is fantastic I have been really hungry for some really deep scriptural teachings one in particular I am wanting to do is something I want to show everyone when I am done.

It may take a bit but I think if what God is hinting at here with me is correct I think it will be something everyone will enjoy
