It's clear that there are two camps in this forum: those who believe that you can sin your way into Heaven and those who don't. Let Jesus be the Judge of sinning Christians, and He will! Depart from Me you workers of iniquity!

John 8:36 plus Romans 8:2 If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death.

Pay attention to the word "if" in verse 23.

Colossians 1
[20] And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
[21] And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
[22] In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
[23] If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
To continue in doesn't mean never to falter. That's what you make it to mean.
Look at 1st John 2...he wrote that we sin not. But if we do, we have an Advocate with the Father. Furthermore, He is the propitiation for our sins. That means every one of my sins has been dealt with. That's why I am no longer alienated from God but am reconciled to Him.
Now my sin may cause a cessation of perceived fellowship and communion until I repent. But nothing can separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus my Lord.
If you desire to continue to deal with God on the basis of your performance, you are free to do so. My relationship with God is secured to me in Christ where there is now therefore no condemnation.

There must be some here who think they are better than Paul .:censored:

Romans 7:18
I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh; for
I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

Romans 7:21
So this is the principle I have discovered: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.

Romans 7:23
But I see another law at work in my body, warring against the law of my
mind and holding me captive to the law of sin that dwells within me.

Romans 7:25
Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with my
mind I serve the law of God, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

Romans 8:1-2
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For in
Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death.

1 Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

You err concerning Matt 7:21-23. Jesus doesn't tell them to depart for their actions, but because He never knew them. This is why I asked you what it means to be in Christ.

Can you tell me in your own words what it means to be...in Christ?

How have you crucified the flesh yet still engage in the works of the flesh?
Are you saying you are without sin? I am without sin, not because I don't sin in the flesh, but because I am in Christ, the only one who is without sin.

So, you still engage in the works of the flesh and think you're saved?

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

That's the inherent problem with a living sacrifice...it keeps crawling off the altar.

That just means you want to sin your way into heaven... according to some.
That type are always going on about how other people sin. All the while
conveniently overlooking and/or rationalizing and justifying their own...

We had a member here a while back who went on and on and on in this vein...

He claimed people believed OSAS so they could sin all they want.

Then he said if he were judging people's motives, it would be anti-Christ.

LOL. So he basically freely identified himself as an anti-Christ spirit.

I agree. But sometimes it's worth the exercise for those who passively read. I just don't hope it turns to OSAS and PennEd has to break out the list prematurely.

Hi I didn't read ever post but so far not one person said or agree with "believe that you can sin your way to into Heaven". You even said "you can sin a little" (may not be word for word). My point is if no one said it.. then you are reading into something they never said .. that's not truth is it. Might as well say "ooh ok so what your really saying is I can sin all I want and still make to heaven". <--that would be a lie and here were talking about sinning'

This is just getting silly.. someone asks a question just gets kind a twisted and tossed back. For some.. its meat it can be hard for some to see. Just saying that some might get offended forgive me please.

For me when I saw was my sin and my heart convicting me He asked me what is righteousness and then asked how do you get righteousness? Do you see this like He does? I can remember some that truly believe they do not sin.. they never have to any more. This is one of those things 1st John was talking to. If we say we have no sin we deceive our self's and the truth is not in us. I am no longer a slave to sin but this flesh has not been changed like I have been. Paul? What I want to do I don't do and what I don't want to do I do. One could say to him "so you still engage in the works of the flesh and think you're saved?" No offense my brother not picking on you if you think that.. I will say no more.

Within me is the desire to sin.. but I do not ever want to sin. Do you understand? I am no longer this flesh. I am that new man which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. If I fall I get up dust off keep going aka repent. He will never say to me "I never knew you". He does right now all the angels rejoiced when He found me and told the Father about me.. He knows me.. He knows you. Don't let me or anyone steal this from you. Theres a reason its written don't let them steal your crown "Hold fast whatever you have, lest someone take your crown.” "

You're conflating ignorant sin with willful sin. If we knowingly walk in sin, we lie and do not the truth.

1 John 2
[1] My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
[2] And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
[3] And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
[4] He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
[5] But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
[6] He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Per the Apostle Paul, received from the Holy Spirit, if you engage in the works of the flesh you won't inherit God's Kingdom.

Galatians 5
[19] Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
[20] idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
[21] envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

It's a request. If you don't want to acquiesce, perhaps you aren't esteeming me before yourself. Some might call that sin.
To me, it's an attempt to circumvent the Word of God to justify a man-made doctrine which promotes that one can still fullfil the works of the flesh and inherit eternal life too.

He is talking about a lifestyle of sin and not individual sins.
The people who practice a sin, do not believe it is sin, and never repent are those under consideration.
Thus, one who commits adultery, is convinced of his or her sin, repents and is restored doesn't practice sin but has fallen into sin. Such a one is not being considered.

I don't think you understand what eternal life is either. Can you please tell me what that is in your own words?
