no need to ban guns. what they should do is ban certain people from having guns. like criminals and pshycos... but until they work out who those people are . hmmmm i think we stuck
Hi Robert,

I have heard the same suggestion from many, the media to the NRA. A lot of friends agreed.
When I thought about how they would be able to accomplish that in all reality, I suppose we'd all be in prison where that can be enforced on the population. Even there, convicted and caged people have weapons available and violence occurs. It isn't gun violence, nevertheless murders and other forms of harm occurs. The victims don't usually have the weapons to defend against sodomy and murder, so it really puts those victims at a disadvantage. This is the slippery slope that occurs quickly when crooked politicians make laws that go against God's laws. They only affect the victims who are those who don't commit crimes. Thieves, covetous, drug addicts, rapists, sodomites and murderers don't pay attention to laws and they are the only ones beside the police and military who are armed in societies where the gt lawmakers determine who is to be armed and who is not. That is how politicians design and engineer their legislation with the help of both socialists and even many gun owners who support "reasonable" gun laws..

If things were as God intended, I don't think there would be much crime. Weapons ownership would not be restricted by the thousands of laws that exist now. Those laws punish and scare decent people, while having little to no effect on the criminals or criminally insane. Ask me how I know.
I've stopped criminals from harming innocent victims.

I'm not preaching to you, but hopefully sharing with many others who read this the following point. Unbiblical laws and ungodly systems of criminal justice do not correct our problems of crime in society. God protects believers, but usually does so through the man of the house. If the man is made weak by laws and such, the family is left to the mercy of the criminals who come to kill, steal and destroy like their father the Devil. The husband has the responsibility to provide protection to his family as much as the mother provides her baby milk.

Consider that in history, laws against the insane and such only effect the law abiding in the real world.

If the federal government is banning guns it’d be a a violation of states rights. Every state has the right to decide whether to ban guns or not if it’s in accordance with the second amendment. The second amendment makes sure that that American citizens have a constitutional right to bear arms, so any state would have a hard time banning the constitutional right to own firearms.

There's been thousands of violations little here and there, but they sure add up. It started with the racist state laws banning those with dark skin from owning and possessing firearms. Every pres in my lifetime except, of all people, Insane Obumma signed firearm restrictions violating the second. Trump simply used a dictatorial executive order as a friend of the NRA. 🙄
Now a federal agency redefines their own definitions and by fiat decide what is allowed or not when it comes to a rifle stock/ pistol brace.

Just read today that a federal judge ruled Measure 114 as constitutional in my state (Oregon). They say it will go to appeals but, man, what a disappointment!

"U.S. District Judge Karin J. Immergut found that the Second Amendment does not protect magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition, and even if it did, that Oregon’s restrictions on the use of such magazines are “consistent with the Nation’s history and tradition of firearm regulation....

While the Second Amendment protects an individual right to self-defense inside and outside of the home, large-capacity magazines are not commonly used for self-defense and therefore not protected, Immergut found."

So much is wrong with what this judge says! Namely, the 2nd Amendment gives us the right to bare arms (not specified what types!) and that right was given so we could protect against a tyrannical government. Protecting out homes is just icing on the cake. She's missing the REAL purpose.

Anyway, this bill also will prohibit us from passing weapons down to our kids upon our deaths. And I know in my area there isn't a "firearms safety course" available to take so where does that leave those that can't get to or find a class??

Here many of our firearms safety courses along with concealed carry permit courses are provided by off duty police officers.

I keep hearing how we have the right to self defense. The 2nd Amendment guarantees our right to arm ourselves against corrupt governments.
When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the bands which have connected them with another...
This is why we need guns. It's either throw off tyrannical rule or live under it. One might require blood. The other requires nothing on one's part. It is the natural course of government led by fallen people in a fallen world.

Oregon isn't set up for it. When this whole thing first started the police were complaining that they didn't have the funds or resources to put together a program. From what I heard, it could take awhile to get the proper classes in place. Years, even. And the police don't wanna do it.

In Florida, we require a hunter safety course for a hunting license. It was easy to get wildlife officers (game wardens) to organize and teach them. A sergeant from our sheriff department organized and taught my CC class. We also require a motorcycle safety course for a license. Many of the classes are again taught by law enforcement. All of the fees charged for the classes, pay the teacher and provide the materials necessary to teach the classes. All the teachers are certified to teach the classes.

Of course here we require a background check and a three day waiting period to purchase most guns. There are a lot exceptions. We also have a stand your ground law.

Oregon is a beautiful state, but you couldn't pay me enough to move there.

instead of hindering, the government should be handing out guns. i believe every woman for sure should be given one.

Talk about night and day political reversal....
Unless you are in more Eastern Oregon like Pendleton area or something.

However, I did hear that the regulations concerning "silencers" were relaxing to some extent. Not exactly sure of the particulars....but it definitely would help with hearing protection.

Silencers usually require a federal permit and tax stamp. And a special gun....

But I was hearing about a case in Texas where they were fighting it in federal court. As well as magazine size....an all inclusive definition of accessories was being determined. So the Idaho move might not be necessary.

Everywhere requires a background check with a potential 3 day waiting period. It's Federal law.

they should let the free enterprise system work. Require the training class, and let qualified individuals start a business of offering training classes, being able to charge accordingly.... here in Texas it averages around $100 to take the course. Many of the businesses that give the courses are run by off-duty policemen. Nearly all shooting ranges offer courses.

On a lighter note.... this is my most recent firearm purchase... Ruger Blackhawk in .41 magnum, with custom made maple burl grips. I haven't been able to shoot it yet, I've been "remodeling" my loading area, but I'm almost done with that, and will be able to take it for a test run very soon....
