I agree that any hole in an opponent is a good hole... but seriously, the science is just not there in regard to "stopping power". Please agree with me on this.

A 9 is all about the "spray and pray" philosophy... and it does work.

I prefer a one and done kinda' thinking.

Give me a revolver, and straight shooting... and some weight.
You on the .357 bandwagon? It’s a great piece, but to a girl it’s just too much weight.

There isn't an animal on the face of the earth that hasn't been killed by a 22, placement, placement, placement. :)(y):coffee:

Haha, no way!!
a .357 is cute... a pretentious .38. And again, any hole is a good hole.

Despite all the Hollywood theatrics... hit me 3 times with some 30-cal. nonsense and I won't be singing you any praises. But I will get up.

One shot, center-mass, with 40 cal. plus... preferably 44 and above, and I'm done for the day.

A load is nice (magnum, et. al)... but the power in the slug means something too.

Americans settled on the 45 for Olympic use as it makes a big hole, if you touch the ring of the higher score, you get the higher score.
Europeans use the 9mm and do very well, not a "sprinkler" of bullets.
Responsible shooting sports participants and Christians don't think of hurting others, justified or not.

That’s right, but my dad says always to aim at center mass in a crisis. Sure hope I’ll never have to.

Yeah sure, but a 44 won’t fit in my purse.😂

Alright... I have no snappy answer for that.

Nevertheless, with the concept that any hole is a good hole in place, I just think that there's some sense behind, "the bigger the better!"

You have a wonderful dad who loves you, give him a hug for us!
That is the best advice and will hold up for you should it be needed, I have shot so much bullseye target discipline I might fall back to aiming for a 10 ring size spot anytime I shoot! lol!

I think that because men are stronger they will more easily be able to handle bigger guns.

Only if it hits the target, a hit with a 22 is a bigger hole than a hit with a 44:)

Got a couple of Dillon's- slightly less fancy than this, but a progressive press, really good brand.

I like "em all.... autos and revolvers. My daily carry is a Sig P938 9mm, and I can mostly hit what I aim at with it. When I'm doing security duty at church, I carry a Glock 19. I would not have a problem carrying either of my snub 38 revolvers... both of them Taurus 6 shot... The Taurus group was with my cast 125gr powder coated bullets...
I'm not sure I would readily carry a single action revolver for defense, but would if that was what I had... and the .41 mag makes pretty good holes...

A Glock target... the upper group was slow fire, standing, and the lower group was fired one shot at a time from "low ready" position at 10 yds, standing

and a Taurus 2" barrel target at 10 yds, quick double action, standing.

Pfft... 9 mm? Really bro?
If you want some stopping power... 9 mm ain't it?
Love ya' just the same.
I know that a 45 has much more stopping power yet I would still not want to be hit by one of these 9mm hollow points. ;)

Alright, so we see in this that shooting off his ear and hitting him in the neck has thoroughly ruined his day... with a 9.
But any hit with the 41 in the 8, 7, and 5 rings has left him lying in the dirt.

I wouldn't either, bro.
I'm just saying that I think that I'd regret getting hit by a 45 more than I would by the 9. For a long time, even.

I don't want to get shot by a BB-gun... but I'd really lament getting shot by a 50. :p (if you can see the difference?)
