Do you think beauty standards for women are too high.
What about older women of course they are going to get wrinkles and spots, if you ever walk in daylight. So why do men insist women be without wrinkles or spots? We don't ask the same of men.

Maintaining beauty is a full time job, not to mention super expensive if going by the prices beauty salons charge. Are you sure you can afford one lol

a woman's lack of proper care for herself which includes healthy eating, exercise, proper Godly thoughts, speakings & action, along with marketing schemes, ads & an "outward appearance" mindset, can prop up the standards to seem high. how many women are actually just being natural about their beauty? meaning: don't worry, don't try to look like some other girl, don't follow the "crowd", don't be taken in by the current style, etc.

My wife is 71. She has beauty that comes from within, from Jesus who is her life. She worries about her appearance from time to time. I reassure her that she is gorgeous to me. The world's definition of beauty looks at the outward. God looks at the heart and so should believers. The greatest beauty treatment is peace of mind and heart. Worry and stress, unforgiveness, bitterness and resentment are recipes for ugliness. Peace and joy are free. My wife has that in abundance. I can see it in her face all the time.

All people should take care of their bodies with exercise and healthy eating. Obsessing over that is not healthy either!

That's on you girls. We men don't really care.

We keep trying to TELL you girls that you don't need to wear all that junk. I don't know why you don't believe us.

One possibility is you believe the commercials (which are trying to make money from you, duh!) more than you believe us guys. Another possibility is you are lying about trying to look pretty for men and you are really just trying to upstage other women.

We don't care which it is. Y'all aren't listening to us and we're tired of trying to tell you that you don't need all that junk. Knock yourselves out. Have a ball.

That's a lie. I got 100 cartridges for $13 on amazon. One shave per blade, but I dry shave so that makes sense. You could probably get four with wet shaving. For that price I could use four blades for one shave and still come out way ahead.

Men are generally attracted to child bearing age women, who tend to have less wrinkles.

There may be also other issues such as men's insecurities. They think they are more of a man if they are able to woo a younger beautiful women (who tend to have a wider selection of men). This plays to their ego. If they go out with an older women, they may come across looking desperate to their male friends thereby reducing masculinity. Men compete amongst themselves to get the most beautiful woman, in caveman terms.

You always hear these types of complaints from women, but next time you're out in public, take a look around. Tons of married women, but very few ever actually measure up to these standards men supposedly set.

Usually these standards are set up for men looking to sleep around. What a man wants to sleep with once and what a man wants to marry, usually have different standards.

I thought this was going to be a thread about laundry.

I dont really care about beauty standards for women, I stopped looking at beauty and fashion magazines in my 20s because it was unattainable and I didnt look like any of the models.

Ive never met a man who insisted that I or any other women be without wrinkles or spots. Are you worried about ageing? I just dont get it.
And I think to put it on men is a bit of a cop out. Maintaining vanity might be a full time job but most women I know are too busy for that.

Funny thing is, if you tell a woman she's spending all this time and money trying to look nice for men, they deny it and say it's for themselves.
So is it men's faults for their supposed standards? Is it fashion and women's magazines faults? Is it the fashion and make up industries fault? Is it Instagrams fault?
Lots of fingers pointed outward...

I dont iron my sheets though I hear some people do it..what a waste of time. If you hang them out and fold them fter youve hung them they wont get wrinkled. But if you leave them in the basket all bunched up of course they will be all wrinkly.

I am kind of a fan of polka dot pattern. But then Ive never seen a polka dot wedding gown.

Most models in magazines are airbrushed so its never what they look like in real life, unless wearing a permanent face mask. They are also barely teenagers in the fashion mags. Apparently freckles are ugly to some people

It says in the Bible something about wrinkles and spots.....

Most teenagers suffer from acne, and thats when they are of childbearing age lol

why does she worry about her appearance? Why does she need reassurance? I suppose its just satan trying to trap her into worrying.

If you in your 70s why should you worry about your looks anyway. All the other 70 year olds look kinda the same dont they?

I think natural or au naturel is what most girls these days practise, I dont know about older women though, I mean some of those beauty products that they used were toxic.

Most beauty products these days boast they are cruelty free and vegan, after all that drama over animal testing and carcinogens and coal tars being in makeup products....how many bunnies died so you could wear mascara...?

phunnneee! i just hope women use natural products for themselves always. when i was 16, i 1st thought of eating organic food when i was eating a Muesli cereal that tasted so great. that was the clincher for me. back to women's care, i think God put lots of natural applications on earth for them. it makes sense to me anyway.

Where did you get this idea? I haven't heard it from any men. I sure have heard it a LOT from women, about men.

Of course women generally assume men are generally lying a lot. This could be one of those areas where y'all assume we're lying.

Y'all just overthinking it. We're not nearly that complex.
