There's a thread right now called "What is the point of being a prophet?" where the original poster starts with that question and then several posts later give his prophecy about the beast which he thinks is Russia, the antichrist which he thinks is Putin and the US he thinks is Babylon. There are too many Bible verses that contradict that prophecy and I posted that as such.

I'm truly surprised that no one is posting against that false prophecy except me though. This forum is well versed in the Rapture and its various positions of No-. Pre-, Mid-, and Post-Tribulation Rapture. So the silence on other areas of study on the end times is quite significant and I think strange.

I think this is a very important topic since the end times and the revealing of the beast is fast approaching with a lot of false prophecy is coming out of the woodwork lately to try to distract us from the real deal. I don't think we should be uninformed about this. So I'm asking everyone: Who do you think is the beast, the antichrist and Babylon? Please post the Bible verses that brought you to that belief.

Thanks!

In Matthew 4:15-23, Christ began his ministry with the Gospel message to repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand, which was a light to the nations, and the Mosaic Law was how his audience knew what sin is (Romans 3:20), so repenting from our disobedience to it is a central part of the Gospel message. Furthermore, Christ set a sinless example of how to walk in obedience to the Mosaic Law and we are told to follow his example (1 Peter 2:21-22) and that those who are in Christ are obligated to walk in the same way he walked (1 John 2:6). So Christ spent his ministry teaching his followers to obey the Mosaic Law by word and by example, which means that he is the man of lawfulness, while 2 Thessalonians 2:3 describes the antichrist in contrast as the man of lawlessness, so an identified of the antichrist is that they are someone who against obeying the Mosaic Law.

The Man of Sin comes from the Middle East and the beast kingdom is Islam.
I heard about that teaching but it doesn't really line up with what the Bible says. The beast is based on the Roman system, not Islamic.

I'm talking about THE antichrist, not the common antichrist. Who do you think it is?

Are you serious?

Revelation 17:4-5

"And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."

Revelation 17:18

"And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth."
Revelation 11:8 reveals who Mystery Babylon is.Jesus was crucified for our sins. Those who are not of God are the Harlots and are abominations of the earth.

There are three characters on the stage in the book of Revelation, not two.

1) The first beast
2) The second beast, i.e., false prophet
3) The harlot

The second beast, the false prophet, is the one pulling the strings in the end times.

Revelation 13:11-17
Then I saw another beast (2nd beast) coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon. He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. And he makes the earth and those who live on it worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down out of the sky to the earth in the presence of people. And he deceives those who live on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who live on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound of the sword and has come to life. And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause all who do not worship the image of the beast to be killed. And he causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, and he decrees that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.

Fear the false prophet because he is the one that will give you the mark and kill you.

This is absolutely false.

The words "great city" appear ten times in the book of Revelation, and if we take the time to look at the descriptions of this "great city", then every single time it refers to Jerusalem.

For example, here are the first and last times that "great city" appears:

Rev 11:8
And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Rev 21:10
And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

In the other eight instances, it can easily be proved that this "great city" is Jerusalem as well.
Jerusalem does not export much, is not a great city, does not rule over the kings of the earth.

Revelation 18:11-13
Cargo of gold, silver, precious stones, and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk, and scarlet; every kind of citron wood, every article of ivory, and every article made from very valuable wood, bronze, iron, and marble; cinnamon, spice, incense, perfume, frankincense, wine, olive oil, fine flour, wheat, cattle, sheep, and cargo of horses, carriages, slaves, and human lives.

I don't think Jerusalem even has a port.

Why should I fear him? I'm not afraid to reject the mark of the beast and die.

A few months ago, I actually had an accident and started bleeding profusely. I thought to myself, "Hmm....If I let myself bleed out, I can die - I can actually go home to God!" But God laid it on my heart, that 1) this was NOT the TIME He wanted me to die, and 2) this was NOT the WAY He wanted me to die. He laid it on my heart pretty heavily to, GO TO THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT! So yeah, not afraid to die AT ALL.

That may be but the whore is the great city. The description of the whore riding the beast is lengthy, impossible to make a mistake in it's identification.

There is no doubt that John was speaking of Rome.

When I read the revelation verses posted here, the first thing that comes to mind that is a perfect fit is the Vatican....

I agree, nothing to fear from death, we all die anyway.

I am making the point that the false prophet is the central character in the end times. The text clearly tells us the false prophet will have you killed for not getting the mark. Or for not worshiping the beast.

Far to many views in eschatology only mention the first beast and the whore. For some unknown reason the main character is the second beast and is missing in eschatology.

Anyone know why?

Some scholars interpret Mystery Babylon as a religious system - a one-world religion. If that is true, it's already been formed in 2022 called the Abrahamic Family House that combines Christian, Jewish and Muslim religions along with all the others in the world. It's HQ is in Abu Dhabi. It might be the Babylon the Bible talks about - it's very wealthy and also has a port!

But we'll know for sure if the AC and false prophet gloms on to this religious institution for a time and then destroy it. 🤷 We'll see.

I don't think Jerusalem even has a port.
New Jerusalem empties and refills it's store house to anyone who shall receive it.We are kings and priests.Noahs Ark has to port from somewhere right?
This is why God made my feet in the image of Noahs Ark and I stand above the waters.

Maybe he's being downplayed for the very reason that he makes such a large impact. I also noticed that a lot of false prophecy is rising up about the identity of the AC because Satan want us to be distracted away from the real one.

What I don't get about Jerusalem being Babylon, is that all these merchants and sailors are mourning over it...

Jerusalem is not a port-city. And was Israel ever a major, major importer of stuff compared to other countries? You could wipe Israel off the map, and what would be the real impact on the global economy?

What trump is going thru would be politically fatal to anyone but him, it just makes him stronger. What does the Bible say about someone who suffers a seemingly fatal blow to then take power?

My take ... not prophesy but opinion ... trump will broker a peace deal between Israel and the Arabs. He's already making headway on that. This will allow the Jews to start rebuilding their temple. When it's done, he'll declare himself god and move in.

And no I do not hate trump. I hate that he's deceiving believers that he is from God, all the while leading them away from core Godly values.
