Psalm 1 starts with the Holy Spirit describing the Son.

Psalm 1

(Spirit about Son)

1:1 Blessed is the Man
Who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stand in the way of sinners,
nor sit in the seat of scoffers;
1:2 but His delight is in YHVH's law.
On His Torah He meditates day and night.
1:3 He will be like a Tree planted by the streams of water,
that brings forth Its fruit in Its season,
Whose leaf also does not wither.
Whatever He does shall prosper.

Psalm 2 has the voices of the Father, Son and Spirit with the Son quoting what the Father said to Him and the Holy Spirit speaking to us at the end.

Psalm 2

(Spirit about the wicked)

2:1 Why do the nations rage,
and the peoples plot a vain thing?
2:2 The kings of the earth take a stand,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against YHVH, and against
His Anointed, (Mashiyach, Messiah) saying,
2:3 “Let’s break Their bonds apart,
and cast Their cords from us.”

(Spirit about Father concerning the wicked)

2:4 He who sits in the heavens will laugh.
'Adonay will have them in derision.
2:5 Then He will speak to them in His anger,
and terrify them in His wrath:

(Father about Son)

2:6 “Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion.”

(Son quotes Father talking to Him)

2:7 I will tell of the decree.
YHVH said to Me, “You are My Son.
Today I have become Your Father.
2:8 Ask of Me, and I will give
the nations for Your inheritance,
the uttermost parts of the earth for Your possession.
2:9 You shall break them with a rod of iron.
You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”

(Spirit to people about Father and Son)

2:10 Now therefore be wise, you kings.
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
2:11 Serve YHVH with fear,
and rejoice with trembling.
2:12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,
and you perish in the way,
for His wrath will soon be kindled.
Blessed are all those who take refuge in Him.

Psalm 3 is the Son's prayer

Psalm 3
A Psalm by David, when he fled from Absalom his son.

(Son to Father)

3:1 YHVH, how My adversaries have increased!
Many are those who rise up against Me.
3:2 Many there are who say of My Soul, (the cross)
“There is no salvation (Yĕshuw`ah) for Him in 'Elohiym.” (He became our Salvation)
Selah.
3:3 But You, YHVH, are a Shield around Me,
My Glory, and the One Who lifts up My head.

3:4 I cry to YHVH with My voice,
and He answers Me out of His holy hill.
Selah.
3:5 I laid myself down and slept.
I awakened; for YHVH sustains Me.
3:6 I will not be afraid of tens of thousands of people
who have set themselves against Me on every side.
3:7 Arise, YHVH!
Save Me, My 'Elohiym! (He trusts His Father to save Him)
For You have struck all of My enemies
on the cheek bone.
You have broken the teeth of the wicked.
3:8 Salvation (Yĕshuw`ah) belongs to YHVH.
Your blessing be on Your people.
Selah.

Psalm 4 is the Son speaking to the Father and to us.

Psalm 4
For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments.
A Psalm by David.

(Son to Father)

4:1 Answer Me when I call, 'Elohiym of My righteousness.
Give Me relief from My distress.
Have mercy on Me, and hear My prayer.

(Son to the wicked)

4:2 you sons of men, how long shall
My Glory be turned into dishonor?
Will you love vanity, and seek after falsehood?
Selah.

(Son to people about Father concerning Son)

4:3 But know that
YHVH has set apart for Himself the Faithful: (He is the Faithful)
YHVH will hear when I call to Him.
4:4 Stand in awe, and don’t sin.
Search your own heart on your bed, and be still.
Selah.
4:5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness.
Put your trust in YHVH.
4:6 Many say, “Who will show us any good?”
YHVH, let the Light of Your face shine on us.

(Son to Father)

4:7 You have put gladness in My heart,
more than when their grain and
their new wine are increased.
4:8 In peace I will both lay Myself down and sleep,
for You, YHVH alone, make Me live in safety.

Psalm 5 is the Son praying to the Father

Psalm 5
For the Chief Musician, with the flutes. A Psalm by David.

(Son to Father)

5:1 Give ear to My words, YHVH.
Consider My meditation.
5:2 Listen to the voice of My cry,
My King and My 'Elohiym;
for to You do I pray.
5:3 YHVH, in the morning You shall hear My voice.
In the morning I will lay My requests before You,
and will watch expectantly.

(Son to Father about the wicked)

5:4 For You are not an 'el who has pleasure in wickedness.
Evil can’t live with You.
You hate all workers of iniquity.
5:6 You will destroy those who speak lies.
YHVH abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.

(Son to Father about Himself)

5:7 But as for Me, in the abundance of Your mercy
I will come into Your house.
I will bow toward Your holy temple in reverence of You.

(Son asks Father to lead Him)

5:8 Lead Me, YHVH, in Your righteousness
because of My enemies.
Make Your way straight before My face.

(Son to Father about the wicked)

5:9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth.
their heart is destruction.
their throat is an open tomb.
they flatter with their tongue.
5:10 Hold them guilty, 'Elohiym.
Let them fall by their own counsels;
Thrust them out in the multitude of their transgressions,
for they have rebelled against You.

(Son to Father about believers)

5:11 But let all those who take refuge in You rejoice,
Let them always shout for joy,
because You defend them.
Let them also who love Your Name be joyful in You.
5:12 For You will bless the Righteous Man. (the Son is the Righteous Man)
YHVH, You will surround Him with favor
as with a shield.

Psalm 6 is the Son

Psalm 6
For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments,
upon the eight-stringed lyre. A Psalm by David.

(Son to Father)

6:1 YHVH, don’t rebuke Me in Your anger,
neither discipline Me in Your wrath.
6:2 Have mercy on Me, YHVH, for I am faint.
YHVH, heal Me, for My bones are troubled.
6:3 My soul is also in great anguish.
But You, YHVH—how long?

(Son ask Father to save Him from death)

6:4 Return, YHVH. Deliver My soul,
and save Me for Your mercies sake.
6:5 For in death there is no memory of You.
In Sheol, who shall give You thanks?
6:6 I am weary with My groaning.
All night I flood My bed.
I drench My couch with My tears.
6:7 My eye wastes away because of grief.
It grows old because of all My adversaries.

(Son to the wicked)

6:8 Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity, (Matthew 7:23)

(Son about Father)

for YHVH has heard the voice of My weeping.
6:9 YHVH has heard My supplication.
YHVH accepts My prayer.

(Son against His enemies)

6:10 May all My enemies be ashamed and dismayed.
they shall turn back, they shall be disgraced suddenly.

Psalm 7 is the Son praying to the Father

Psalm 7
A meditation by David, which he sang to YHVH,
concerning the words of Cush, the Benjamite.

(Son to Father about the wicked)

7:1 YHVH, My 'Elohiym, I take refuge in You.
Save Me from all those who pursue Me,
and deliver Me,
7:2 lest they tear apart My soul like a lion,
ripping it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
7:3 YHVH, My 'Elohiym, if I have done this,
if there is iniquity in My hands,
7:4 if I have rewarded evil to him
who was at peace with Me
yes, I have delivered
him who without cause was My adversary,
7:5 let the enemy pursue My soul, and overtake it;
yes, let him tread My life down to the earth,
and lay My Glory in the dust.
Selah.

(Son to Father against His adversaries)

7:6 Arise, YHVH, in Your anger.
Lift up Yourself against the rage of My adversaries.
Awake for Me. You have commanded judgment.
7:7 Let the congregation of the peoples surround You.
Rule over them on high.
7:8 YHVH administers judgment to the peoples.

(Son to Father about judgement)

Judge Me, YHVH, according to My righteousness,
and to My integrity that is in Me.
7:9 Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end,
but establish The Righteous;
their minds and hearts are searched
by the Righteous 'Elohiym.
7:10 My shield is with 'Elohiym,
Who saves the Upright in heart.
7:11 'Elohiym is a Righteous Judge,
yes, a 'El Who has indignation every day.
7:12 If a man doesn’t relent, He will sharpen His sword;
He has bent and strung His bow.
7:13 He has also prepared for Himself
the instruments of death.
He makes ready His flaming arrows.

(Son about wicked)

7:14 Behold, the wicked travails with iniquity.
Yes, he has conceived mischief,
and brought forth falsehood.
7:15 He has dug a hole,
and has fallen into the pit which he made.
7:16 The trouble he causes shall return to his own head.
His violence shall come down on the crown of his own head.

(Son praises Father)

7:17 I will give thanks to YHVH
according to His righteousness,
and will sing praise to
the Name of YHVH Most High.

Yep. That would be the Son. And it is the Holy Spirit speaking about Him. How awesome to start the Psalms with that.

Thank you for the panel. Nice touch with the Spirit.

Thank you... I don't seem to have an updated working copy of that panel; it is from 2018, made by request.

I recently wondered about doing a panel for each Psalm...
.

This was the first one I did .:)

Psalm 1:6

I think I need to change the font face...

Oh wow. Dug deep in the archives for that one. Interesting you already had the Spirit present on the panel. That is one of the best things about the first 3 verses of Psalm 1 with the Holy Spirit speaking about the Son.

Your other recent panels have been spectacular with all the color and details. They are very striking and beautiful. Have to study them to see all that you put in each one.

If you want to add panels to this thread for various Psalms, that would be wonderful. No pressure.

Was not going to do each Psalm in this thread. Only the ones with the Son speaking or about Him. Oh, guess that is most of them. It would be great to have your artwork with some of your favorite verses interspersed. There are so many great verses to choose from.

Maybe it could be a pleasant thread without the customary bickering and backbiting going on. Shhhhh. don't tell anyone. Don't want to attract the arguers. They may ignore the thread since they heard it all before.

Psalm 9 is the Son speaking to the Father

Psalm 9
For the Chief Musician. Set to “The Death of the Son.”
A Psalm by David.

(Son to Father)

9:1 I will give thanks to YHVH with My whole heart.
I will tell of all Your marvelous works.
9:2 I will be glad and rejoice in You.
I will sing praise to Your Name,
O Most High ('Elyon).
9:3 When My enemies turn back,
they stumble and perish in Your presence.
9:4 For You have maintained My just cause.

You sit on the throne judging righteously.
9:5 You have rebuked the nations.
You have destroyed the wicked.
You have blotted out their name forever and ever.
9:6 The enemy is overtaken by endless ruin.
The very memory of the cities which
You have overthrown has perished.

(Son about Father)

9:7 But YHVH reigns forever.
He has prepared His throne for judgment.

9:8 He will judge the world in righteousness.
(the foundations of His throne are Justice and Righteousness)
He will administer judgment to
the peoples in uprightness.
9:9 YHVH will also be a High Tower for the oppressed;
a High Tower in times of trouble.

(Son to Father about His people, believers)

9:10 Those who know Your Name will put their trust in You,
for You, YHVH, have not forsaken those who seek You.

(Son to His people, believers)

9:11 Sing praises to YHVH, Who dwells in Zion,
and declare among the people what He has done.
9:12 For He Who avenges blood remembers them.
He doesn’t forget the cry of the afflicted.

(Son to Father)

9:13 Have mercy on Me, YHVH.
See My affliction by those who hate Me,
and lift Me up from the gates of death;
9:14 that I may show forth all Your praise.

In the gates of the daughter of Zion,
I will rejoice in Your Salvation (Yĕshuw`ah).

(Son about the wicked and the Father's judgment)

9:15 The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made.
In the net which they hid, their own foot is taken.
9:16 YHVH has made Himself known.
He has executed judgment.
The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands.
Meditation. Selah.
9:17 The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol,
even all the nations that forget 'Elohiym.

(Son about His people)

9:18 For the needy
shall not always be forgotten,
nor the hope of the afflicted perish forever.

(Son to Father)

9:19 Arise, YHVH! Don’t let man prevail.
Let the nations be judged in Your sight.
9:20 Put them in fear, YHVH.
Let the nations know that they are only men.
Selah.

that is an awesome thing for the Son to say in verse 9:13 and 14. He again is asking to be raised from death to life that He may continue to praise His Father and show His praises.

lift Me up from the gates of death;
9:14 that I may show forth all Your praise.

Thank you. Some used to say they were too busy. LOL Oh, well, I am simplifying them more these days.
In the beginning I did not have very much to work with, as I had not collected much ephemera yet.
Here is another very early Psalm 1 panel (you can tell some of the very early ones by how monochromatic they are):

Of course I already have many Psalms panels, but I thought of going through all 150 Psalms
numerically and choosing verses I had not done yet. I tried counting how many there are but
it is difficult. But it looks like I have designed about 110 Psalms' panels since 2018.

Now that is magenta. magenta white horse. magenta green trees. magenta land. You sure are using lots of colors now a days. The new panels are color explosions of soft complimentary colors. Plus the way you overlap things and have impressionistic qualities is beautiful. The creativity in them has blossomed over time. There is a huge difference between your early ones and what you are doing now. Spending your Sunday nights here has been beneficial for your art. (it was joke, it was only a joke)

please add whatever you want to the thread. liven it up and make it as colorful as you can. He is all about color and light and beauty. Since you have that many ready, it could be a record of your work and progression over time. get postin.

Psalm 11 is the Son

Psalm 11
For the Chief Musician. By David.

(Son speaking)

11:1 In YHVH, I take refuge.
How can you say to My soul,
“Flee as a bird to Your mountain!”
(He did not flee. He faced what the Father set before Him and trusted)
11:2 For, behold, the wicked bend their bows.
they set their arrows on the strings,
that they may shoot in darkness at
the Upright in heart. (He is the Upright in Heart)
11:3 If the foundations are destroyed,
what can the Righteous do?
11:4 YHVH is in His holy temple.
YHVH is on His throne in heaven.
His eyes observe.
His eyes examine the children of men.
11:5 YHVH examines the Righteous,
but the wicked and him who loves violence His soul hates.
(The Father hates those who love violence)
11:6 On the wicked He will rain blazing coals;
fire, sulfur, and scorching wind
shall be the portion of their cup.
11:7 For YHVH is Righteous.
He loves righteousness.

The Upright shall see His face.

11:7 For YHVH is Righteous.
He loves righteousness.
